They installed four can lights in a condo with a very challenging commercial style ceiling configuration. Made it look easy! Highly recommend.

We've had Highland Electric out to our offices a handful of times. Their electricians were always on time, very professional, knowledgeable and gave quality service all the way around.

I have been using highland electric for many years due to my rental and construction business and have never had a glitch in their service. They have responded quickly and professionally. I would never deviate from such quality service.

Installer didn't seem concerned about where on the walls he was running the electrical lines. I have a line going from a light switch to a new outlet that is going across a wall rather than down. So now, I have to hide it with a large plant. Other outlets have some of the same issue.

Also, I never received a receipt for the work. It was expensive for 4 outlets.

Danny did a great job rewiring and restoring my power after the March 31storm. Jennifer managed to schedule me the day I called which meant I had heat! Thanks to both for their efforts.

We had an employee of Highland Electric out to our house to fix an electrical issue. He was on time, extremely courteous and very professional in his work ethic. I would call Highland electric first for this kind of Fix.

Excellent! Jennifer at Highland solved my problem over the phone and and saved me the expense of a house call. An honorable and customer friendly Company that I wouldn't hesitate to call again for any future electrical problem.

Highland significantly exceeded their bid and didn't finish the job. When we started discussing their costs, they tried to get the property condemned (ironically because the job was not finished), reported a zoning discrepancy and held us basically hostage for the overage. When we tried to work with them, they were very rude. Finally, when we paid them everything they demanded, they took the check directly to my bank (who would not cash it as banks don't cash checks at the window for businesses who do not have an account at that bank) and then insisted I come down with cash to their office. I wanted to support the because I was local, but it was the worst experience I've had with any service provider.

The customers we serve are large multinational businesses. They are demanding of quality, professionalism, and price. The electricians from Highland are always given high marks by our customers and they request them back by name. I strongly recommend their services!

We've used Highland Electric for years. They are very responsive and have been able to solve many issues over the years. We love them and they will always help at a moments notice.

I had a pendant lamp I needed to install. Their just first hour quote is 180$ (!!!) then 150$ hour after that.... but that’s only for one guy - as I see from previous reviews they often bring TOO MANY guys. After showing them photos of my project > especially showing how you could reach out to the fixture from the 2nd floor balcony in my tiny craftsman house.... they refused to do the job for less than 800$$$$!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Stating it would take at least 3 workers, and tall dangerous ladder?!?!?!??????? I CAN’T EVEN with that response. I begged a friend, who isn’t even a professional - and they came over and did the job for free today pretty easily - no ladders needed. (Only difficulty was old original wiring) which I’m sure Highland would have charged me hundreds of dollars for on TOP of their insane quote.

Highland electric installed 4 light fixtures and replaced a switch. Chris was prompt and finished the job quickly. He was friendly and professional. I will definitely call them again.

I arranged for a Highland technician to come out in order determine why my range vent hood blower motor would NOT start and I was told that the motor is shot and the entire vent hood and blower motor with assemblies needs to be repaired.

Fortunately, I got a second opinion and the second electrician found that the banana connector from the blower motor to the power supply was NOT fully inserted to make contact, and upon correcting this all is well.

Bottom line, always get a second opinion. Highland charged me $180 to inspect and give me a BUM STEER when their electrician should have been able to correctly resolve the problem as the second electrician had.

The guy who came was rude, impatient, and acted completely uninterested in doing any work for the remainder of the fall season. It was pretty cold today, but being outside is part of the job- if he was going to come with a poor attitude he should have canceled on us instead. Additionally the receptionist who booked the appointment was told what we wanted done- if those tasks could not be completed due to cold weather and potentially partially frozen ground, she should have told me that before dispatching a technician to my house. If I get billed for the service call I will absolutely not pay a dime and will never use or refer them again.

Very unprofessional. Demanded $500 to not do any work.

So, we bought a chandelier for our entryway. Since it was going in a tall entryway they said they’d need a special ladder and two guys to do it. So for that it’d be $500 for the first hour. And like 3 something for each additional hour. Seemed really high, but it’s a job I can’t do myself.

I asked several times if they needed pictures of the space, they said no. I insisted I at least send a pic of the chandelier as it had a lot of dangling things I wanted them to be prepared for. The woman reluctantly had me text it to her personal number, not to a company email.

At no point was I asked for any measurements of any kind. It all seemed weird but I figured they’re the pros, not me.

So the guys show up, and the first thing he says is that they don’t need the special ladder I was told I had to pay extra for, a regular ladder would do fine (if I had been asked for any measurements this could have been avoided). Then after that he takes one look at my ceiling he says they can’t even install my fixture (had I sent a pic, this too, could have been avoided) as there is a beam in the way and the box was in the wrong place for this style of fixture.

The young guy was nice enough, but the old guy was rude as hell. As they’re leaving I tell them I don’t want to pay since no work was done, “no no no” the young guy says. I say thank you since I now have to go through expense and hassle of exchanging the chandelier for one that will work and then rescheduling yet another installation appointment.

So immediately after they go out to their truck I get a phone call saying I still have to pay, because two guys and a special ladder came out they want me to pay $500! For nothing! No work! They were in and out in less than 5 min. I flat out refused. I just could not believe the audacity.

They should ASK for pics and measurements, seems like common sense to avoid situations exactly like this one. I had no idea the beam would be an issue, I’m not an electrician, but it would’ve been very visible in any picture. Instead everyone’s time was wasted.

And to drive this point home we contacted a second electrician for a second opinion and the very first thing he had us do is send pics and measurements so he didn’t have to waste a trip.

I wasn’t even going to bother posting this review, I was going to just let it go. But today I got a bill in the mail for $500! I was willing to pay if any work was done, or even a reasonable fee for the trip, but this is ridiculous. I can’t afford to pay $500 for nothing. I feel very disappointed and taken advantage of.

I have used a few different electric company's in the past and nobody has been as friendly, reliable and fairly priced as Highland Electric. The tech was so friendly and respectful of my house. I highly recommend next time you need an electrician you call these guys! Thank you for the 10 star service!

Daniel installed a ceiling fan for us. He was exceptionally nice to work with. He explained what he was doing throughout the entire project; he described the challenges of working with original wiring in a 1940s home; he offered ideas for working out current problems; and he was easy to talk to, creative, neat, and courteous. I highly recommend calling Daniel for your electrical work!

We had a great experience with Highland Electric. They performed work at my c-store and auto repair center. The job was done as promised, on time, and with a good quality product. They were professional and worked around my staff working. I would highly recommend.

Was able to get an appointment next day after calling. However when they came out for inspection and repair they were not able to locate issue of electrical wiring and still required payment of $250 to cover travel costs. Spent less then an hour at home and waste of money and I would not recommend Highland Electric.

Highland Electric fixed a number of deficiencies that were identified in an inspection. Scheduling was quick and easy. They were on time and remedied the deficiencies in record time! The electrician (Chris) was awesome, as was Jenifer at the office. Don't be put off by the hourly rate. They are fast and efficient. Highly recommended!

Mike gave a no worry estimate and kept the project on time. He responded to calls and made every effort to insure we were done with our project as scheduled. All expectations set at the walkthrough were met and then some! Our electrician Kris was great from beginning to the final bulb! He made great recommendations and kept our project grounded. His skill is evident and his kind, pleasant demeanor kept discourse light. We were in good hands throughout the project!
