AMAZING!!! I am so grateful. Our AC wasn't working because of an issue with the breaker. Another electrician said we needed a very expensive solution that involved replacing our entire panel and external wiring. Tim came out the day I called, fixed the issue in about five minutes, and didn't even charge us. I will DEFINITELY use Tim when I need electrical work in the future, and will recommend him to all my friends. THANK YOU TIM!

We've used Tim Kunkel Electric for several projects, ranging from a couple small jobs like re-feeding a dryer circuit and installing an EV charger to a complete kitchen re-wire and service panel move/upgrade. Of all the contractors we've worked with on our house remodel, they've been the best by far. Jack was always friendly and courteous and very accommodating with both of us working from home. They're very familiar with working with old houses and old wiring, so if you've got knob and tube they're the ones to call. They know their electrical code and don't cut corners. Tim's upfront with the pricing and their pricing is competitive.

The thing we appreciated most though is we were always consulted when there were decisions to make. Jack would explain the options and give the pros and cons and let us decide how we wanted to proceed. We've been burned in the past by this from other contractors just making a decision that made their job easier but complicated the next steps, so this was really refreshing.

We can't recommend them highly enough. We've had a lot of meh experiences, so working with Tim and Jack has truly been a pleasure.

Tim Kunkel Electric did excellent work for us! Tim was amazingly responsive with sending an estimate and scheduling the job, he explained everything clearly, and he and his assistant did quick, clean, quality work. It was a complicated job and certainly a long day for them, so we really appreciated the extra time and effort they put in to get it all done and leave everything clean. Can’t recommend them enough.

Tim’s crew rewired the 2nd story of our old St. Paul house and removed the old knob and tube in advance of an insulation project.

The crew was great, worked quickly and efficiently, showed up on time and finished up quickly. They did a great job minimizing damage to the old plaster and lath walls and left the place spotless when they left for the night.

Super nice guys on the crew and Tim was great to work with on getting a detailed estimate and explaining our options.

Best electric company ever! I needed an outlet for a sump pump in my basement. I had another company come out for a quote before Kunkel, and it went from a quote for an outlet to full blown rewiring the entire house to replacing the panel and outside meter. That quote was over $13,000. All I needed was an outlet, and even that was way overpriced. Jack, from Kunkle, came out, assessed it, gave me the quote for labor, materials, and permits. He got the job done in less time than he had anticipated so he reduced the price accordingly. When finished, he explained everything he did. Kunkel is a professional, ethical, and very fair priced company. Thank you Tim and Jack. Kunkel will now be the only electrical company I will use or refer to others.

I can’t say enough about Tim Kunkel Electric. Jack showed up right on time, assessed what needed to be done, gave us a fair quote, and got to work. He was great at explaining things and it was nice to have such a great guy doing the work. Clearly, Tim chooses the best of the best. The price was more than fair and we are grateful to have a go-to company to call do our electrical needs. We will happy refer them to people we know as well.

The work was excellent. They discovered electrical wiring that could have lead to a fire and redid the wiring. It is safe now and the light and switch work very well. Tim's whole crew got everything done answered all my questions and cleaned everything up. This is my go to company!

Tim did an awesome job! Everything connected neat and tidily, sweeping up after himself and even putting an extra GFCI on the panel for free!

Hired Tim to replace my service panel, upgrading it from 100 amps to 200 amps and get rid of my udersized, underpowered, improperly wired and unpermitted panel that came with the house. He also put whole home surge protection as well as some specialized power (30amp NEMA twistlock+more) to go to my basement room which he was able to do for a reasonable price and whithin a reasonable timeframe. Everything looks great and no more blowing fuses!!!

Nice to see someone who takes real pride in their work and business, it shows from the cool vans and stickers to the professional, clean and neat work he does. Would hire again!

Tim's electrical crew did a great job adding some electrical outlets for us. Jack & Nate arrived on time, reviewed the work we wanted done, and then completed it efficiently and neatly. They ran new circuits where needed and also replaced a faulty arc fault circuit breaker that had been tripping intermittently. We'll definitely call them again for our next electrical project!

Tim did quality work for us including a service panel upgrade. What really impressed me was how he followed up a year later letting me know about an Xcel rebate I was qualified for and he helped complete the rebate form. Resulted in a nice check from Xcel I probably wouldn't have gotten if he hadn't followed through. Thanks Tim! Highly recomended.

I reached out to Tim about a non-functional exterior outlet. Tim patiently did troubleshooting with me over text messaging over a few days, and SOLVED the issue for free. At one moment I was willing to pay for Tim to come over however he insisted the issue can be solved by myself, which turned out to be true. I completely trusted Tim’s professionalism, honesty and kindness, and will definitely hire him for any future electric work.

Great service, friendly workers, reasonably priced. I mentioned i was hoping for same day if possible and at first they weren't sure they could accommodate. They ended up calling me back in less than an hour as they had another job postpone a week and said they could fit me in. They gave pricing upfront and sent out two great people. Mike was our main guy and he was very helpful and informative. He found the problem and went to work on the solution. At the first hour down mark he stopped to let me know what they had found and asked if I wanted them to proceed. They were efficient, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Jack and Adrian did a great job today installing some new outlets inside and outside of the house. They identified an unused circuit from an old appliance so the new circuit does not interfere with any other circuits inside the house. This is very crucial for an old house like ours. We got scheduled very quickly. Jack and Nate were fantastic! The job wasn't as hard as it could have been and they didn't charge us the full service fee. We will find a cause on the card they gave us to donate the rest of what we would have paid.

Needed a light socket replaced in my well room. Called Tim Kunkel and he was able to send a licensed electrician the same day. The whole job took less than 15 minutes, with the longest thing being waiting for the Square reader to load! Would 100% recommend Tim and his crew. They were punctual, professional, funny and knowledgeable.
