Tim and his team did an outstanding job upgrading the electrical panel in my 1924 South Minneapolis home. They also added a new 100amp service to my detached garage. Communication was great but their flexibility and scheduling was outstanding! They showed up on time and cleaned up when done and zero issues with the inspections. On top of that his prices are at or below the other quotes we received. Highly recommend this company and Tim.

They are really rude and unprofessional

Incredible, there is nothing like the Dakota Supply Group. The way they grouped my supplies for my journey to north dakota was pristine.

Accredited Electric has been working with DSG for a decade now and have not been disappointed. Ryan Beaton, Brennan Ricker and team are true professionals with complete knowledge of the common electrical components along with specialty items. Everyone at DSG are the reason for our continued success and it is so nice to call in and be immediately greeted by name. We look forward to another 10 years using Dakota Supply as our supplier!

This company will only return for 25% of the value that you pay for. I tried to return a handful of breakers and it just wasn't worth the value to return them. Now I'm stuck with these breakers. I'll just do my electrical shopping somewhere else. They're going to lose thousands of dollars over $70. I'll just shop at their competitors, that's how much it irritates me. I've been shopping with DSG for 6 years.

Zach and an assistant came to my home and provided first class service. They came in and listened to what I needed, provided an estimate and got right work. They did great work

Ryan and Ryan completed my EV charger installation quickly and professionally. Ryan took the time to provide options for installation in an older home at different price points so that we could make the best decision.

Travis from Randy's Electric came out to install a ceiling fixture. Because of how our house is wired, it wasn't possible to affordably do this, but Travis suggested a "Plan B" solution that worked for us. He provided a thorough explanation of what he was going to do and its cost. He completed the work efficiently and quickly. On top of that, he had a very friendly and professional demeanor. So great job, Travis and Randy's Electric!

Chris and his helper were phenomenal—very professional, easy to understand, and quick to complete the work. ✅ My only concern is the trip fee. If a customer chooses to move forward with the service and is already paying the diagnostic fee, the trip fee should be waived. Charging it only makes sense when a customer decides not to proceed with the service. This policy is the reason I’m giving 3 stars today instead of 5.

As much as I would’ve loved to give 5 stars, the only thing that was off for me was price.

The service was great - very professional and quick and even gave me tips for future projects I plan to do on my own. They were easy to talk to and were very friendly. However, had I owned a 14’ ladder of my own, I likely would have tried to replace this on my own as well (what can I say, I like to be independent). However, I do not own a 14’ ladder, so I needed help.

My only negative was the price - I understand that it was a light that was over a tall stairway landing (in a townhome), however $800 for an install that took less than 1.5hrs just seems a little steep. The install used a 14’ ladder, that was already on the truck (they did not have to have a taller ladder brought in) and I had pre-assembled the light ahead of time (adding all of the crystals and other such fastenings), so there really was no additional assembly. While I do not know what an average install costs, $800 just seemed a little steep for this project. And to clarify, I purchased the chandelier elsewhere, so this was NOT included in the $800 install price.

Wow, Luke from Randy’s did an amazing job. First, they send a picture of the worker in advance of the service call which I thought was very helpful-safety being considered is a real strength of this company. And Luke took his time to explain everything, he didn’t do a hard sell, he was simply matter of fact and earnest. His demeanor was professional, friendly, kind, and he listened to us. I could not have had a better experience. The last company we hired were horrible so we were wary of all service providers. Luke has modeled how to do the work responsibly and in a really caring way!!! We will hire Randy’s from here on out!

Dan was on time, thorough, and efficient. He repaired our outlet and breaker issue at a reasonable price and gave us some options to help us prevent similar issues in the future. We will use Randy’s Electric again.

The quality, timeliness, and professionalism of the technician Travis, was excellent. The cost was exorbitant though. $1828 to install one exterior motion detector light and one switch for it. The length of wiring was 16 ft, all through exposed studs in a garage wall. $138 to put on an in use receptacle exterior cover on an existing box. So the cover was at most $30, so that's $100 to remove 2 screws and put in 2 more. The whole job took less than 2 hours. I did approve the estimate before the work was done, so I own that part. Just wanted everyone to know before you pay $75 to get an estimate.

Austin was knowledgeable, polite and respectful…and nice to visit with! He explained what he was going to do g to do and updated me with his findings. Austin made the needed repairs and explained any recommendations for repairs in the future. I would strongly recommend Randy’s Electric and Austin for any electrical projects.

Travis was great! He arrived within 3 hours of our call to Randy's Electric to fix the outage in our kitchen. It took less than 5 minutes for him to find the cause. Travis was professional and very personable. He showed us what to do if the problem returns in the future. We were very pleased with the service we received. Randy's Electric will be our "go-to" for any future electrical services.

Zakk did a great job explaining my options. I own an older house, so the electrical situation could be problematic.
The circuit breaker was tripping when I used the microwave. Circuit breaker was old. As were the others. Had a whole panel refresh.
Pleased with the work and the cleanup.
    Thanks!

I’m writing to express my disappointment with the service I received from Randy Electric. Based on my recent experience, I feel compelled to share my concerns so that others are aware and so your company has the opportunity to improve.
I hired your team to review my electrical concerns and with rewiring, and unfortunately, the process was frustrating from the beginning. There were several issues that stood out:
    • Issues
o The representative didn’t inform me there was going to be a trip charge.
o The representative didn’t inform me they would need to charge me over $400 to provide me with a quote.
o When the technicians were going through the house and opening up the outlets and light switches, parts of the wall fell on the floor and to my surprise they didn’t clean-up after themselves.
o The Technicians broke the dimmer switch in my dining room.
A trip charge makes perfect sense, but when I scheduled the appointment, no one informed me that was a part of the service. I have had other contractors over and if they have a trip charge (not all do) they have always informed me, up front, so there are no surprises. I find it dishonest when a company that has a strong foundation like Randy’s Electric does not inform customers in the beginning there is going to be something such as a trip charge. Instead, they informed me after they arrived at which point I was stuck.
I also found myself feeling taken advantage of when they arrived and informed me, they would charge me over $400 in order to provide me with a quote. Every other contractor that has come by has NEVER charged me for a quote. This was ridiculous. I was told “we have to open outlets, etc.” and this was to justify their charge. If this is how you operate then fine, that’s your business model, but make it clear to your potential customers when they call to schedule an appointment.
I expect professionalism, transparency, and basic customer service—none of which were delivered. It’s disappointing that a company like Randy’s Electric would not be transparent, and professional.
I hope this feedback encourages your company to take a closer look at your employees, communication, and quality control processes. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend your services to others.

    Jordan was very very good.
His work was outstanding and took what I thought to be a short time. He was polite and knowledgeable. I had him change out five outdoor lights and he installed a new box on one for us. Would I have them back? Absolutely.

Electricians work was ok. Price of work was extremely exorbitant for work that was done. They were here for 1.5 hours and charged $688 . Also charged $161 for a junction box.
I will not be doing business there again and will be removing them from HOA’s recommended vendors listing.
