We had Preferred Kitchens project consultant to our home to discuss our project. She spent an hour in our home going over all the details, and promised a project estimate in two weeks. 5 weeks later, we still hadn’t received the estimate. Called to see if she would still be sending, and it was clear that we had completely fallen off the radar. The estimate hadn’t been worked on at all. She then promised to send the estimate ‘tomorrow’ which was now ten days ago. We have received nothing and have gotten no follow up. I’m confused as to why they’re doing consultations if they don’t have capacity to generate estimates or follow up on projects. Ultimately glad we aren’t working with them, as this experience is likely indication of what it’s like to work with them long term - lack of communication, missed deadlines etc.

Preferred Kitchens was excellent with our remodel of the kitchen, great room living area, entry way, and dining room. The work is custom and of high quality, and the carpenter assigned to us was top notch. Angela our designer was fantastic and listened to our description of the style we were interested in, as well as giving us options and suggestions when we needed advice. She coordinated so well with the many people on her team, from the electrician, plumber, carpenter, painter, and back to the home office. She put in countless hours to make it beautiful and was patient and sincerely wanted it done as perfectly as possible. Preferred Kitchens earned our trust and also kept a good timeline of the schedule and had timely responses and great communication when we had additional questions. Thank you!

Preferred kitchen did a beautiful job remodeling a guest bathroom. Seamless process start to finish. They are very professional and do quality work. Excellent communication and finished right on time! Definitely will use them again.

We worked with Preferred Kitchens to remodel most of the main level of our home and are very pleased with the results. John is a great designer/project manager and made it as easy as possible for us. It was very helpful to have him guide us through the process of selecting cabinets, flooring, etc. He also did a great job of managing throughout the remodel process and made sure everything met our expectations. He or Christen always responded quickly when we had questions. I will definitely use Preferred Kitchens again for future remodeling projects.

All the folks at Garlock-French were wonderful. They walked us through the challenges we faced with our insurance company and gave us expert guidance on choosing the best roof. David was especially great, and although they were super busy, he always got right back to us when we had questions.

We had some problems with work done on a new roof installation by a different contractor who went out if business. After contacting multiple contractors to fix the problem, with no luck, we contacted Garlock-French. They were most helpful. They were respectful and quickly scheduled us and made the repairs. Then we were hit by the giant hailstorm on August 11, 2023. We suffered a large amount of damage. Because of the good experience that we had before we called Garlock-French. Their representative Stefan Zebro has been a fountain of information. He is currently taking charge of the whole removal and replacement of our roof, vents, facia, gutter covers, skylights, garage siding, and repair of windows and air conditioning units. He is working with our insurance company and taking all of the worry and hassle off our backs. I would highly recommend Garlock-French for any work that you may need.

I decided to contract with Garlock-French to replace the shingles on my brand new home in Lake Elmo that sustained light hail damage within a month after moving in. Due to their extreme negligence, inexperience, and lack of care, my home sustained water damage in all four walls and ceiling on the first and second floor while while it rained all day and they had the entire top roof off. They did not follow industry standards which is to work in sections and tarp off open areas as quickly as possible if it rains. I had water streaming through light fixtures and down walls, to which the foreman told me I just needed to let it dry out and they would come back later to touch up the paint. Needless to say, I called a water mitigation company to come out and respond to the situation correctly. Now I have holes in my walls, trim removed, wet clothes in my closet, wet carpet, and industrial dehumidifiers and fans running everywhere. It’ll get better but it’s going to take a lot of work, time, and aggravation. Think twice before you hire Garlock-French!!!

Norcon Home Solutions completed two remodels for us. First our bathroom. Due to the great results, we proceeded with redoing our kitchen. First, the estimates Norcon provided were accurate, detailed and easy to understand. Second, and more importantly, Norcon Home Solutions is trustworthy, reliable, professional, and provides sound, beautiful construction. We plan to use them with any future plans to update our home.

We spent an hour with the contractor at our home discussing our project, anticipating an estimate for services. After more than 5 weeks and multiple attempts to contact the company, we never received an estimate or any type of communication or follow up. Very disappointed.
