We recently had Callier & Thompson redesign our kitchen, dining room and laundry room. Christine was our designer. She was wonderful to work with. She listened to our wants and came up with a great design. Jeff was our lead installer who did a great job. We appreciated his attention to detail and making sure everything was done right. Everyone from the electricians, plumber, painters, tile installers and any workers who helped with the job were top notch! Thanks Christine, Jeff and Callier & Thompson for a beautiful kitchen, dining room and laundry.

To say that a major kitchen renovation is not easy is an understatement, but the team at Callier & thompson made the process as easy as possible and the end result is nothing short of beautiful. Everyone there, from our design/salesperson, Christine Duenke O'Sullivan, to our lead installer, Josh Caruso, were outstanding. We couldn’t be happier with our new Callier & thompson kitchen!

Our designer Jenny was very patient with us during our many visits to the showroom.
She was instrumental in helping us narrow our dream list down to fit our budget. She provided countless feedback during the project to help us pick everything from knobs, lighting and seating accessories.

Our lead carpenter Jeff was amazing. His communication skills are great. He kept us updated on contractor schedules, timelines and answered countless questions from us. He is a master at his craft and his attention to detail was astounding.
It was a pleasure hiring this company and we love our new kitchen and bath.

We have had excellent experiences using Callier & Thompson. Initially we remodeled our master and hall bathrooms, the living room floor, and the fireplace. We worked with Christine O'Sullivan from the design team for all our remodeling projects and she is amazing! She visited with us in our home to get a vision of what we had in mind. She asked about the budget and the time frame we had to work with. We then met her in the showroom to look at some materials that were available. It was so convenient to go to one location and select each product. She had a good idea of what we wanted to do and offered a fresh perspective of how to best manage materials and budget.
She offered ideas that demonstrated her excellence
in design that neither my husband nor I would have thought of. She treated our home project with outstanding creativity, patience and a working knowledge of how to marry our ideas with her suggestions. Christine recommended products that we were unaware of but that she knew we would appreciate. Her communication skills were excellent. Everyone on the team including carpenters, electricians, plumbers, flooring and tile installers, and painters understood the interrelationships between trades and treated our home like it was their own. When you have remodeling done, you invite people that you don't know into your life. Everyone at Callier & Thompson were respectful of our privacy and we developed a trustworthy relationship with each of them. There was no time when we didn't feel comfortable with their employees in our home.

When we considered our second project, the renovation of our kitchen, dining room and utility room, we knew who to call. We worked with Christine to develop a template of ideas which would transform our home. Again, absolutely everyone at Callier embarked on our project with creativity and they demonstrated an air of personal satisfaction at a job well done. Our team leader, Dominick, had an open line of communication with us and all the other team members. He was able to inform us of how the project would progress and always gave us an idea of what was coming next. Callier's employees arrive on time and clean up after themselves. They work efficiently and have excellent working relationships with each other. It meant so much to us that an owner visited several times during the construction and was always open to a phone call if we had questions or concerns.

We unequivocally and enthusiastically recommend Callier & Thompson for any and all remodeling projects you may have. We are confident that you will enjoy the same experiences.

Callier & Thompson was great to work with!! We did a full kitchen and master bath remodel, super pleased with all phases of their operations from the initial meeting to the final walkthrough.

Heather our designer was very invested in our project and listened to our wants and provided expert advice. Josh our project manager was available and stopped by our project frequently to see progress and resolved any issue without delay. Cole our lead carpenter is the best of the best.

    Great team work all around

Would definitely recommend Callier & Thompson

Excellent service. Extremely professional. We had a small bathroom remodeled and it went as smooth as possible and exactly to their timeline. Jenny was very knowledgeable on the process and helped us tremendously in designing and the utilitarian usage of the limited space. James, the lead on our job was always communicating what they had done and what was next. Every evening everything was cleaned up so we weren’t dragging construction dust all over the house. Painters, drywallers, plumbers, and electricians all did excellent jobs, were here when they needed to be, and worked as clean as possible. Continually impressed with C&T and have already recommended them to family members

Having been clients of Callier and Thompson for a complete kitchen renovation in 2023, (see Classically Modern Warmth), we were extremely pleased and confidently chose them again for a significant project updating all our bathrooms and the laundry room (see Stylish Vibes). This major commitment also included upgrades to lighting and plumbing in other areas of the house and additional painting.

Our designer and partner throughout both projects, Christine O'Sullivan, already understood our preferences and goals. She shared insightful new ideas we hadn't considered, consistently providing tremendous value and easy accessibility.

The lead carpenter, Dominick, along with painters Andrea and Amy, consistently delivered their best work, ensuring meticulous care and quality that was evident in the final results. Behind the scenes, Josh and Bob efficiently managed supplies, scheduling, and promptly addressed any construction issues. (Dave, the skilled tile expert, was very personable and took the project to an even higher level).

In fact, the entire CT team operates with a unified approach, consistently delivering their best with efficiency, promptness, and excellent communication. They genuinely care about their clients as individuals, going beyond simply completing a project to build lasting relationships. Furthermore, they stand behind their work, offering excellent warranty service on all their installations.

We found that one of the keys to a smooth process was for us, as homeowners, to actively ask questions and engage throughout the project. This collaborative approach is a give-and-take process that can evolve and sometimes take unexpected turns. Embracing flexibility and patience, and treating everyone with respect, undoubtedly contributes to a positive outcome.

It's almost a shame we don't have any more immediate upgrade projects (perhaps the garage in the future?), because we genuinely enjoyed working with the entire CT team and feel like we've made some friends along the way. If you're ready to upgrade your home, consider Callier & Thompson and meet with Christine O’Sullivan.

We had an excellent experience with Callier and Thompson with our kitchen remodel. We have used the company five other times and have always been very satisfied, but this job was the best. Christine the designer did a wonderful job of listening to our wants and providing an exceptional design. Her communication was outstanding, along with her follow through. The head carpenter Jeff managed the process meticulously. He insured others did the same and kept the job on target. I think we only had 2 nonproductive days due to delayed inspections. Craftsmanship was outstanding. Cabinets are gorgeous. We highly recommend their work.

Years ago, Callier & Thompson installed a Dacor gas cooktop and downdraft vent for us. The cooktop arrangement is a 46", six-burner, black enamel in an island. Some time ago, the downdraft quit working and could not be repaired as Dacor is no longer in business. A 46" downdraft in black enamel (or any color) is simply not available. Callier & Thompson worked with me to locate and install a perfectly wonderful alternative downdraft unit to fix my problem and keep my lovely Dacor stovetop. Bob took the time to hear my dilemma, and put his team on it. Matt got the team rolling and Matthew Alexander, came to survey the issues involved (which were significant) and he and Eric came to install the new downdraft. I am so pleased with: a) their willingness to work with me to solve my challenging problem rather than move me toward a replacement stovetop; b) their most reasonable price; and c) the beautiful result which exceeds my expectations. Thank you all for being so good at what you do!

My guest bedroom and bath remodel was my fourth project with Callier and Thompson. As expected, it was a wonderful experience. Their folks are first-rate and I was confident they would do whatever was needed to make this project perfect. There may be cheaper contractors around but you get what you pay for. Callier and Thompson does not disappoint. Thank you once again! 😁

We would highly recommend Callier & Thompson. We spent considerable time searching for the right full-service design & build firm for our major kitchen remodel, which included taking several rooms down to the studs as well as removing and adding walls, and C&T delivered an absolutely beautiful kitchen!

Our designer, Christine, was great to work with, listened to what we had in mind, and made it come to life far better than we could have dreamed. Josh, Mark and Scott led the construction crew and all were a joy to have in our home. C&T was exceptional at communication; we knew at all times what was happening. C&T's entire crew would respond to our communications (email, text or via app) nearly immediately.

The most surprising aspect of this experience was simply how nice, kind, and professional the entire C&T crew was throughout the project. We really liked the people that work at C&T. We knew we did not want "just a guy" for this large, complex & expensive project, we wanted a professional, full-service, knows what they are doing and can deliver firm, and C&T delivered.

Our complex project was completed on-time and on-budget.

With any complex project issues are expected, and although only minor issues arose (100 year old home...), C&T quickly and graciously resolved them.

C&T's focus on us as a customer was remarkable. We could not be happier with C&T, the entire experience, and most of all our new beautiful kitchen.

Let me take a moment of your time to talk to you about my experience with Christine Sullivan, a designer with Callier and Thompson. I have had extensive remodeling work done this past year that included 3 bathrooms, a bedroom, full kitchen, living room, dining room and stairs and Christine calming but professionally handled all of the details. Sometimes I knew what I wanted and sometimes I didn’t, however Christine somehow read my mind and gave me exactly what I needed. It was a long and tedious process that could easily test your nerves, but I knew that I had Christine in my court working for me. I also want to give a shout out to the crew that did the actual labor and acknowledge the professionalism that they showed towards me and my property. Nothing was too hard or too complicated and they treated my property with respect. If a problem arose, they worked as a team to resolve my issues and did it in a timely manner. If you are in the market to upgrade your home, I encourage you to choose this company for all your remodeling work and be sure to ask for Christine. You won’t be disappointed.

We were looking to upgrade our somewhat dated and average kitchen and knew about the well-respected Callier and Thompson name. After a discussion with a couple acquaintances who both had used them and had nothing but high praises, we knew we probably wouldn’t need to look elsewhere. and scheduled a showroom visit.

Initially met with designer Christine O'Sullivan and had a tour of their extensive showroom and vast selection of cabinets, counters, sinks, tile, fixtures, accessories, and appliances. She listened to our goals, ideas and likes/dislikes, and took the time to explain their process and what to expect with the Callier and Thompson "experience". There was also an in-home visit, initial design with a budget analysis, additional meetings at the showroom and home, lots of selections and coordinating, and then a finalized design. They truly have a tried and tested procedure and everything is meticulously documented, monitored, accounted for and was accessible to us thru a project manager software app. No one else we ever worked with in the past for anything had this meticulous of a mindset when it comes to a project and practically nothing is left to chance. We have full documentation of all measurements, plans, cabinetry, accessories, appliances, warranties, maintenance info, etc. all in one neatly presented notebook for future reference.

Christine's ideas, attentiveness to detail and her accessibility were second to none and we highly value our time working together. Last minute design changes and upgrades were handled graciously. She added tremendous value and insight to the whole experience and made the result so much more rewarding. We cannot say enough good things about her.

It was also a pleasure to work with Greg Fleer, the lead carpenter. He did meticulous work, was very knowledgeable and took the time to share ideas and keep us posted on things. A great guy and real asset to Callier and Thompson.

The quality, fit and finish of the custom walnut cabinetry and trim is superb. Well worth the wait. Everything from the counters to the tile to the wall plates to the extensive lighting just work very well together and we are so pleased with the quality workmanship and end result.

The whole firm from the owners Bob and Carolyn, project manager Josh, Matt w appliances, the painters Phil, Amy and Andrea and everyone else on the staff were exceptionally detail orientated, friendly and took pride in their work. The subcontractors Callier and Thompson used were fully vetted and also did a great job. Everyone cleaned up every day and there were many precautions to protect and contain the work area. They also stand behind all their work and are available if the need would ever arise for anything down the road.

Needless to say, as in real life, there will be some slight delays - scheduling of installations and services, possible supply issues, etc. Be prepared on making do without the use of the room while being remodeled for a few months. Brush up on your air fryer/microwave food ideas and carry out choices. Stock up on disposable tableware and get used to buying ice every couple days. There's typically a wait for the counters to be fabricated and city inspections to be performed. Consider these small sacrifices for a big payoff later.

Overall, it was a very worthy experience with a fantastic end result and a great investment in our home, and we would easily do it all over again. The outlay for the project was not inexpensive, but that is only a concern if value is not perceived, and there is extreme high value received from working with Callier and Thompson. From our experience, we give nothing less than our highest recommendation.

I had a challenging request for Callier & Thompson: to replace our Sub-Zero 48 inch refrigerator and Wolf oven/range in a short period of time. Their representative, Matt Gore came out, assessed our situation, noted our requirements and started the process to get that accomplished. Matt followed up frequently to make sure everything was on schedule and we were satisfied with what was happening. He went out of his way during a very difficult time for us to keep everything on track and get the project completed before I reasonably thought possible. The removal of the old appliances and the installation of the new was efficient and done extraordinarily well. I couldn’t be happier with our decision to use Callier & Thompson. They have done numerous projects for us and we have never been disappointed. They and their representatives are responsive, professional, accommodating and strive to understand their customers’ needs and objectives. They give practical, effective solutions that always puts their customers first.

We chose Callier and Thompson for all our renovations. Two second floor bathrooms and our entire first floor including kitchen, powder room, laundry room, wet bar and living room. They were so patient during the design and gently helped guide our decisions throughout the process. The cabinets, appliances, tile work and general workmanship were all exemplary. The process was completed in a professional and timely manner, and we were overjoyed with the results.

Fast forward fifteen plus years. We developed a leak in our water wall over Thanksgiving. I called a plumber who determined the approximate location of the leak. He suggested I call the contractor that did the renovations to remove cabinets and cut through dry wall so he could determine exactly what was happening. Thus, on the Friday following Thanksgiving I called Callier and Thompson. After explaining the situation, I was told someone would be out first thing Monday morning.

Monday came and so did two men from Callier and Thompson. They gently removed one upper cabinet and exposed the plumbing. They worked in tandem with my plumber and quickly determined the need to remove a wet bar cabinet and cut into the ceiling in both the wet bar and powder room. The plumber was able to get me on the schedule for Thursday and Friday the drywaller from Callier and Thompson came to repair the drywall. By the following Monday the cabinets were back up, with the painter scheduled for Tuesday.

Everyone I dealt with during this ordeal was so wonderful. They made me feel like I was priority one! They went to great lengths to be sure the job was completed as quickly as possible and with the least inconvenience. The owners even waived any fees associated with their work, saving me a bundle.

Callier and Thompson truly stands by their work! They have your back even years after completing the work. What could have been a horrendous disaster to contend with ended up just being a blip.

THE BEST! Excellent experience with Callier and Thompson! We just completed several projects and could not be happier! In fact, we are soon beginning another. Return customers are both a huge testimony and the biggest compliment. Callier and Thompson were committed 100% to our satisfaction. Bob Strate is a very humble and honest businessman, as well as a true leader in the industry. Christine was our designer, and she is absolutely phenomenal! She is welcoming, kind & approachable. Christine understood our style and helped us put together the most beautiful spaces! My construction team was very professional and friendly. Josh, our production manager, kept everything moving along and ensured that our project went exactly as planned. Honestly, we had so many great individuals on our team: painters, demolition, electricians, plumbers, engineers, carpenters, installers, inspectors, and clean up crew! I felt completely safe and content. If you are looking for a company to assist with your home improvement needs, look no further! I am eager for many more projects to come. Thank you to everyone at Callier and Thompson for making our experience a positive and memorable one!
