Don’t trust or hire this company for termite inspections, it’s one big SCAM.  They offered me a free termite inspection.  Jayme came out to perform the inspection. It consisted of inspecting the space between 3 floor joists in the unfinished portion of my basement with a flashlight until he found an anomaly on one floor joist, and without inspecting it closer he made the presumption that it was termite tunnels. He said they were probably getting in thru a small crack in the foundation, which he pointed out to me.  At which point the inspection was over.  He looked between 3 floor joist, not the whole house to determine the severity of the infestation.  Then we went and discussed the different remedies they offer. He started with the most expensive remedy which was around $13K and consisted of drilling holes in my foundation and putting in termite stations.  Then he went into the second remedy which consisted of placing termite stations in the ground around my house. This would cost about $3600.  He said this remedy would be the one he recommended, he didn’t think the infestation was bad enough to warrant the $13K remedy. I selected the cheaper option. First of all, how would he know severity from looking in between 3 floor joist, when he did not assess the whole house to determine the severity of the infestation.  And second, he presented the more expensive option first and then the less expensive option second to make me feel like I was getting a deal, what a SCAM.  Last week I finally had time to get up there and investigate the termite tunnels he had pointed out, and it turns out they were not termite tunnels it was just a little dirt on the joist. So I called them and complained, the person I talked to said they would have someone from management call me.  Finally, a manager called me we talked about the situation for about 30 minutes he finally agreed to send another inspector out and perform another inspection, and that someone should be contacting me in the next few days to schedule. On Friday October 3rd I text Cameron and told him nobody has contacted me to schedule yet. He informed me he was working with one of his supervisors. On October 8th I texted Cameron and informed still no one had contacted me. I have not gotten a reply from him. So I ended up paying $3600 for termite stations and I didn’t even have termites.  What kind of a SCAM is this company running.  I ended up removing the stations because I did’t want the to attract termites.

Zachary did a wonderful job today. He was joyful, polite, helpful and courteous of my home. His knowledge of our pest and mouse problems was also insightful. I am grateful for all that Zach did today. He represents the best of Moxie Pest

Luke was very professional, courteous and thorough. Wore foot coverings when in the house. Explained in detail what he was looking for. As always the techs do a very good job and we are very satisfied with Moxie as our pest control service.

Zachary was polite and helpful on our visit yesterday. This is our 3rd service and don’t see any issues. I’ll certainly update.

As far as the company goes, I don’t have much interaction with them, but remain skeptical. If you have to add an 80% penalty (of remaining treatments in the contract) you are likely fixing the wrong problem. Let your service speak for itself and customers will stay.

I have a feeling the cancellation fee was likely imposed due to their high pressure, door-to-door sales that were likely being cancelled if the home owner had remorse. Most of the poor reviews come back to the cancellation policy. I point this out as a buyer beware, but so far we are generally satisfied with the service.

We did have to have them back out on the fall visit as they missed a wasp nest under our deck and our daughter got stung - they were back in a few days, but I had already taken care of the problem.

Luke was awesome! He came in terrible weather, did the termite inspection quickly and thoroughly. He explained everything in terms we understood, and answered all of our questions. He was wonderful and still had others to take care of after us in the worst snow storm since I don’t know when!

Zack has been very professional and helpful in treating my property. He also shared knowledge to prevent future bug damage. I am impressed with Moxie service.

Zachary serviced our home today. What a nice guy! Besides being a pleasure to speak to, Zachary made sure to explain all the things I needed to know about his work both before and after it was finished. He also noticed we had pets and advised on when they are safe to go back in the yard. Keep up the good work !

Kudos to Ronald Collins contracted to our Hospital, St. Louis location. 7/3/2025 at around 9pm Ron stepped way above for the safety of others at the hospital in cleaning a spill in our revolving doors. This was not Rons job to do but felt he should do something before anyone slipped and got hurt. AGAIN, THANK YOU RON COLLINS
