Electrical reviews in Fenton, Missouri

The technician Evgeny was professional and quick to find the issue. Potts originally quoted a major troubleshoot but then adjusted the amount down to better reflect the time spent fixing the issue. A welcome gesture and says a lot about how they value customers.

This is a little overdue but important. When we had a near-disaster in February Potts was there within an hour. The owner, who helped us on a weekend, communicated the severity of the situation and had us fixed and ready to go by Wednesday. They worked well with our homeowners insurance company and really delivered for us! I'll be calling Potts again if I need someone!

Josh provided a detailed estimate of the work, worked through what was needed and stepped through each part and how it would be accomplished. Great communication and professional service. Nick did the install on-time, on budget, and professionally. Cleaned up during and after the work was complete, walked me through the installations demonstrating it all worked as planned. Made sure each part was what I expected per the planned work. Very personal able and profession team. Thank You!

Courtney responded to our issue regarding a faulty ceiling light fixture in our garage. Within minutes of arrival, he diagnosed the problem and remediated the issue.
Courtney definitely checked all the boxes: professional, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, detailed, thorough. We were completely happy with his work, and will certainly call Potts again for our future electrical needs! -
I absolutely love Courtney!! Amazing man, highly knowledgeable and just a breath of fresh air! I had an issue with the original company that installed my whole home generator, but man did he give me faith again in contractors! Thank you Potts Electric and especially thank Mr. Courtney!!!

Courtney at Potts Electric did a great job resolving my problems, two broken wires in the wall. Also completed the requested upgrades.
Great job by Boaz repairing the issues found during Metro West inspection.
Boaz did a great job resolving a few new issues that came up. Right on schedule -
Potts Electric is a fantastic company. The service man, I think his name was Anthony, arrived on time. He listened to us to understand the problem and fixed it right away. I am amazed at the great service, the responsiveness and how polite the service man was. Excellent company. Whenever I need an electrician, I am called Potts again.

Really an overrated company that pushes the 5 star review game with its customers. Prices are pretty steep compared to others to boot. I used them a few years back to quote an install of an electrical outlet in my bathrooms for a bidet. The owner came out, wanted to locate the electric panel right away and proceeded to tell me I had a recalled panel that needed replaced. He did also show me some trouble spots where the panel and wiring appeared to be getting hotter than normal. I opted to have them replace my panel. Only after did I find out the panel I had was not on the recall list at all and the recalled panels were newer ones manufactured around 2019. House was built in 2001. I left a 3 star review about this and was met with a text from the owner apologizing and asking me to change the review to 5 stars. He pointed out that even though my panel wasn't really recalled, I still had hot spots that were of concern. It really was a good point so I opted to change my review to 5 stars. The install seemed fine save for the hole in the finished ceiling where the wiring exited the panel and proceeded to run into the house. They didnt cover it up at all. The old panel wiring had a small square box made from a few pieces of drywall to conceal the mess of wires and giant hole in the ceiling. In the photo you can see the spot they cut away the drywall that used to cover it all. It looks messy. A little over a year later I finally proceeded to have the outlets installed I originally brought Potts out for. I first reached out by their website contact page, but never heard back. I eventually called them figuring they weren't going to email me back. No worries. They came out and did the install for me. It wasn't done very well. The guy installed an outlet unlevel as can be seen in the pictures. And it's not the faceplate I put on that made the box unlevel. It was unlevel with the faceplate they put on. I didn't realize how unlevel it was until months later when finishing the bathroom remodel and getting the vanity installed next to it. In my other bathroom the guy punched a small hole through the wall in a spot to the right from where he installed the outlet. He did have the courtesy to let me know he did at least. The 3rd outlet he installed was an exterior one. The caulk job was terrible and the caulk ran down my siding and has since stained to a brown color. The outlet itself was installed loose, with the mounting screws clearly only in my vinly siding and not in a stud or at least the actual wood panels behind the siding. It can pull a decent amount away from the house (a good 2 inches or so) and you have to hold it in place with one hand while using the other to open the cover to the plugs. This is also an issue when unplugging something from it. Maybe I'm wrong but I can't imagine it's good for it be loose and pull from the house everytime you use it. I would think this could even be a fire risk with eventually damaged or loose wires. I'll admit I sat on this for a while. Partly due to the fact it was a few months later before most of the renovation projects were done and I started to notice these flaws. Either way I reached out to the company and talked to someone who seemed kind of short with me. She did help me out though and let me know someone would get back to me. I have yet to hear back from the company a few weeks later. I imagine they had no interest given the fact a year had passed between install date and me finally forwarding the complaints to them, which I can respect. I certainly should have addressed it sooner. Either way, I would think considering I've used them for two 3000 dollar services and paid for some kind of membership the first time i used them they would have the decency to reach out to me at the very least. Between the misleading information on my panel being recalled, the fact they don't seem to be good about getting back to me, the pressure put to leave nothing below a 5 star review and the poor quality installs of my outlets, I can say I wish I had opted to use a different company.

I needed a new electric panel and a lot of outside and inside GFI outlets re-done in my house. When I called Potts electric, Courtney Perkins came to do the job and he was AMAZING. He really took his time to make sure everything was properly installed. He was so matriculas in everything he did. I attached a couple of pics on some of the work Courtney did. Check out how detailed Courtney arranged my wiring within the new electric panel. Blew my mind!!

Potts Electric did a great job with multiple electrical project items we needed addressed. Rewired some existing lights, installed several new fixtures, repaired outlets & switches and installed a Generac generator. Techs were on time, knowledgeable and personable. They explained everything fully as they completed the work and installs all came out great. Will use them again and highly recommend.

We hired Potts Electric fix a broken outlet at our new rental duplex. Unexpectedly, the electrician discovered a lot wrong with the building's electrical set-up in both units. The projects he was proposing were substantial, totalling nearly $20,000. But the technician took the time to explain the safety concerns and provide data and images to help me understand why the upgrades and replacements were necessary, and then he worked with me to break up the work so we could afford to do the most important fixes in a timely manner for the safety of the tenants.
On the day of the installation we had some miscommunication about when they would arrive because I, the owner, do not live on site. But everyone was apologetic and communicated well to get us back on track that day. We will work with them again for big and small projects at this building and our other properties. -
We had a great experience with Potts for a massive project. New electrical panel, all outlets and switches upgraded and 20 can lights put in. The team did a great job and was great to work with. I'm also very impressed with their response time for any issues we've faced post-project. Great communication and reliable company. Courtney (and the rest of the team) did a wonderful job.

Our technician, Evengy Kirenia, was outstanding. He was courteous, patient
and very knowledgeable. He was not originally scheduled, but we were glad to have a technician that was honest and truthful. The office personnel have been very willing to make our experience a positive one. Makenzie is exceptional - thank you! -
I'm sure every at Potts is great. However, if you can hold out and snag Courtney Perkins and Adam Barnes you will not be disappointed. I had them out for a big job and they absolutely killed it. Everything is so very clean and they were very easy to work with. Super happy with the job they did. Would absolutely have them out again if need be.

I was impressed with Potts Electric from beginning to end. I met with Cody and he walked me through everything & was very thorough. After that I knew I wanted them to do my work. We set appt and everything was flawless. Notified always by text as to when each would be at my house & a photo of that person. Great touch and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND POTTS ELECTRIC!

Sean got everything done cleanly and in a timely manner. When things did not go according to plan he was able to devise a solution and work through the options with me. He did an excellent job and I would definitely recommend his work.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Courtney did a fabulous job. He went above and beyond what needed to be done. He was thorough, timely, and cleaned up. I highly recommend Courtney and Potts Electric!!

We had problems with our Generac and had several people to look at it but Courtney with Potts was the only one to find the problem and rectify it. He came out, found the problem, ordered the part and reassured us that when it arrived he would come back and replace it. He kept his word and now our generac is working again. Thank you Courtney for your wisdom, knowledge and being true to your word. We would definitely call Courtney if we encounter any future problems.

The team at Potts Electric was extremely helpful and understanding in their renovating the electrical work throughout our house. My wife has dementia and they scheduled us in such a way that didn't inconvenience her. The work that they then did was fast (done in a day) and extremely efficient. I am so satisfied with how everything turned out that I can only give them the highest recommendation possible. Once again I want to thank them for the job and being so understanding of my wife and our situation.
