My husband and I have an old house (1949 build) that has had a few additions through the years that were done very poorly. We had a of couple electricians quote us at over $500 to change out some of the trickier light fixtures, but Mike gave us an estimate of $345 and completed the work same day. He also went out of his way to make sure that the light fixtures hung straight (not an easy task when our drywall is not completely parallel due to the age of the house and poorly done renovations). I would, and plan to, recommend him to anyone that needs electrical work done.

Recently had my basement flood and as part of the remediation I had a company come over and setup some dehumidifiers. They ended up popping my breaker and I couldn't get it reset so I was calling around different electricians to see when they had availability so I could get the breaker fixed and dehumidifiers up and running again.

After explaining my issue to multiple electricians prior to calling FM Electric they all told me it would be $60-120 just to come out to diagnose the issue. I put myself on the schedule for some of them and luckily also called FM Electric.

He answered right away and after explaining my issue he didn't even try to quote the cost to come out. He told me to make sure to turn the breaker fully off before turning it back on. This is my first home and first time dealing with breakers and that was indeed the issue. He also told me to make sure to move some of the dehumidifiers to the washing machine outlet since that's on its own breaker.

FM Electric could've been another company that just quoted the cost to come out and that's it, but they instead went out of the way to fix the issue over the phone and give me advice to try to prevent it happening again, even at the cost of the service fee they would've gotten to come out.

Next time I need any electrical work done I will make sure to reach back out to FM Electric. Any company that cares more about helping than money is worth your business.

Extremely happy with this company. They literally saved our building when we had a flood in our boiler room costing us more that you can imagine. And these guys stepped up. They were able to replace all damaged electrical panels in an extremely timely manner. If it were not for this company, I would be where I am at now at this building. i reached out the night before about an electrical problem, and they set up an appointment for the next morning. brian showed up right on time and quickly figured out why half the power was out in my garage. after checking the circuits and testing things out, he found a faulty outlet that seemed okay at first glance. once he swapped it out, everything worked perfectly again. he finished the job in about an hour. great service from start to finish. i’ll definitely call them again for any electrician work in kansas city and will recommend them to others.

Brian came out to give us an estimate for several electrical upgrades, including adding new cable outlets, ethernet ports, and extra electrical sockets.
