Heartland Quality HVAC was recommended to us by our plumber. He uses them for his own property. When our HVAC system failed, we called and they were out the very next day on time. Unfortunately, our system was shot(and old), so he recommended replacement. After we talked to Tom, and he gave us all of our options, we picked a system and scheduled the work for the next day. Again, they showed up on time ready to work. They were very professional and efficient. They appeared experienced and worked very well together. One team replaced the outside unit, and one team worked inside. This is a small family business. The owner himself was on sight! Couldn't be happier with their service. If your'e looking for the cheapest price in town, Heartland probably isn't for you. If you believe (like I do) that you get what you pay for, then these guys are it!!

I used Heartland Quality for a furnace repair this past winter, and Jim (the owner) presented all of my options of whether to repair or replace my system. He didn't try and push to replace it, which was much appreciated. We decided to just repair it at this time, but I'll use Heartland when it comes time to get a new unit. I've recommended Jim to other friends, and he's always treated them honestly and fairly.

After years of struggling with other HVAC companies Heartland finally fixed all of our issues. I definitely recommend them! I love that their employees are long-term so you really get to know who is coming to work on your system. Buy the semi-annual maintenance package like us...life saver!

My Air Conditioner went out. I called Heartland Quality Heating and Cooling and they came out the same day. I needed a new unit, mine was old so we settled on a date to install. I have a medical problem that I cannot have the windows open. Tom went out and got a portable air conditioner, set it up at no charge to me. That was a lifesaver! The guys to do the installing were here on time on the scheduled day and were very professional. I wouldn't call anyone else for my heating and air problem.

Heartland Quality heating and cooling was the best option with in the Kansas city area. I have researched other players and by far, this company is a cheaper and provides best quality. Tom Davis definitely is the most responsive and helpful person I have met. great customer service. He even helped us with spire and kcpl discounts weeks after installation which led us get the discounts.

Jim, spoke to us for about 15 minutes (or more) on the phone about a new furnace and AC. After we decided we would like both, Tom came out in a timely manner with options, 3 of them depending on our budget. He spent about 45 minutes at our house measuring and then talking us through a new system, what recommendations he had, and financial options. Installed also in a timely manner. Phoned/emailed Jim the night of for some concerns (that turned out not to be anything to worry about). Called Tom this morning with same concerns and another one (again, not anything to worry about). Called Jim again and he sent out Josh (the same guy who does our tune-ups in the spring and fall to make sure everything's in tip-top shape) who looked around for about 15 minutes, fixed something super easy, answered all of my questions, and even asked if I had any more. Happy to say our house is now energy efficient and only has about a 5 degree difference in the upstairs versus the basement. These guys go above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Heartland has done a bait and switch and proven that they do not wish to honor our contract. They flaunted an annual renewal for a 5 year service warranty during the sales pitch but will only honor 4 years and Tom canceled the 5th year payment and doubled the price. Until the last 2 years, we felt like this was a great company to work with but after one bad part (didn't have to pay for the part but had to pay a $50 acquisition fee and a $59 service call) and then not honoring the last year of the maintenance care agreement has made us start looking for a new HVAC company. In addition our service tech today did not wear shoe covers as it states on their website. We spoke with Tom at Heartland Quality several times trying to find a solution to this issue but are not satisfied at this time.

**No confusion, we have it in writing. You just chose not to honor it, you requested a higher amount than the written contract. We said no. You refunded us and won't honor the written price you agreed to.

This was a prepaid heater check up on my 2 systems. Dustin was professional and very knowledgeable about his job. He welcomed questions and educated me about my systems. He did a great job with his explanations. When I asked questions about replacing my systems in the future, he explained my options and the benefits of those options. He wasn’t pushy about it. I will continue using Heartland.

Heartland Heating & Air were great to work with from estimates of repair all the way to installation. Mark, Josh and Dave are very knowledgeable of their products and services. Josh and Dave did a great job with the installation and kept everything clean and well organized. I highly recommend Heartland Heating & Air's services.

In addition to providing quality service, Heartland Quality Heating and Cooling employs extremely nice and trustworthy technicians to service the equipment. i never have to worry as to who is entering my home...this provides me additional peace of mind. With Heartland you may pay a little more than with cut-rate companies, but it is well worth the added expense. i trust Heartland Quality Heating and Cooling and highly recommend them to take care of all your heating and cooling needs.

They were able to come out earlier than expected and we're very late back and friendly. They explained what was going on and instead of immediately pushing me to buy a new system they added freon and explained that while it may not need replacing now it wouldn't be a bag idea to start putting money aside.

The technician Kalen and the guy that came with him were really professional. Second time using Heartland and we really like them.

Sent a service tech that had absolutely no training on the product that needed service. The product is a steam humidifier and this is a product that the company is a distributor/installer for and I explained exactly what the problem was when I called. I had more knowledge about the product than the tech. The tech was very professional and it wasn't his fault at all. The company should never had sent him in the first place. It cost me almost $300 for the service call and nothing has been resolved. Spoke to the owner afterwards, also very professional but really never understood why I was upset. The only accountability he offered was that I wasn't charged for the entire time the tech worked on it because of the fact that the tech wasn't knowledgeable about the product. Make sure you ask the right questions before scheduling a service call......

Heartland set us up w a new Rheem furnace and ac. Process was painless and quick, installation was seamless, and there were good options to choose from, including high efficiency. The financing really helped. We've been using Heartland for several years for seasonal inspections and they've always done a good job.

We had a tankless hot water system installed. They were very professional, on time and overall very helpful. Had 6 companies come and give me estimates and ultimately chose heartland. I am glad we went with this company. They even helped me out with getting my spire energy rebate. I Would 100% recommend them to anyone.

Excellent customer service experience from the first call I made to this Company. Technician(Scott) showed up at my house as scheduled and on time. I received a brief introduction bio via email in advance to introduce me to the person who would be working in my house. Also received a heads up text from Scott that he was on the way and would be arriving soon. Polite, professional and went straight to work. After completion he walked me through a brief operation demo on the installed equipment. The cost of the work completed was exactly what had been quoted to me previously. This is a first class Company and I would recommend them for quality mechanical services.

They are very knowledgeable and friendly. I had someone come out to trouble shoot my AC unit. Turns out the compressor went out and the whole unit needs to be replaced. Which is understandable. The problem I ran into with them is that I felt that I was being oversold on a couple things.

The technician informed me that I need to put in a new capacitor for the furnace. I said go ahead because I was trusting his guidance. Well, turns out that since the AC unit went out, it is best to replace not only that, but the cooling coil AND put in an updated furnace to boot. This of course told to me after he put in the capacitor. Which was too late to say no. Heartland charged me $96 for a part if you Google it costs $5 - $6 on average! And literally takes zero effort to connect it. Very frustrating.

Then when I had the sales person come out for the official bid along with the owner, both were very professional and nice guys. However, again... I felt I was getting over sold. One thing that stood out in my mind was when the owner, Jim (I believe is his name) showed me that one of the air ducts was not making a 'hollow tin' sound when your press on it. That it was a sign it was rusted out from the inside and needed to be replaced.

Granted I needed some duct work as some were definitely rusted. However, that particular air duct he was referring to was just insulated on the inside because it takes air away from the furnace. The hollow duct is only for return air ducts. Which makes total since. Thinking about this I feel that for someone that has been in the business for so long should have known that. Maybe not...but I just felt I was getting over sold again to drive the bid up even higher.

As for the bid itself. I will say they were the most expensive by at least 20%.

In short. Nice, friendly people and knowledgeable. However, they are very expensive and gave me the impression that I was being oversold. Starting with that $96 capacitor. Needless to say, I did not go with them.

We hired them to install a new tankless water heater for our home. They really banged up our walls when bringing in PVC pipe, and then people that I didn't know and that obviously weren't workers (in flip flops) were coming into our home (later learned it was the owner and his daughter). They broke our main line switch during the install and claimed they did not. It worked when they started...it didn't work the very next day. We paid another plumbing company $500 to come out and fix it after they refused to fix it without additional charges. They installed the waterless tank wrong. It was leaking after a day of use and they did come back to properly install the water heater. We had to remind them to putty around the cuts they made to the exterior of our home to vent. Really wouldn't recommend this company.

Heartland Quality Heating and Cooling is a A+ is our book. Tom came out and gave us an estimate. I think I had text him about 20 questions after that and he responded every time, even at 9:45 at night. After getting 2 other quotes we decided to go with Heartland. We just liked them overall. Seemed like good people and a great company with good product.

The install went really good. The two installers were very professional and very friendly and answered all my questions. They came out right on time and even called before they showed up.

Around 11:30 that same night the water line busted where they installed the home humidifier in the furnace room. Water was going everywhere. I shut the water off and texted my salesman Tom and Yep, he replied. One of the Installers came out about 45 min later and fixed the issue. Tom called me the next morning to see how we were doing. Wow. What other company would have done that? This company is the best.

I highly recommend Heartland and they will do my work for my ac issues here on out. Im glad we went with them.

Heartland came in big for us the day before Christmas Eve. Not only did they call back to try and trouble shoot, when that didn’t work they rearranged their services employees route to come by and fix our furnace. It was an extremely cold day and we are so grateful! Highly recommend. We appreciate their responsiveness and ability to help us in a tough spot !

They were clear, answered my questions and flexible with the HVAC system/configuration I was looking for. The team was very professional and flexible with our time constraints. They did quality work at a reasonable cost. They were also upfront about challenges and promptly strove to resolve issues. I'm very happy with the Heartland Quality team and recommend working with them. Thanks Heartland Quality - I appreciate it!

    Update 12/19
We definitely made the right choice selecting Heartland for our new HVAC install. Any time I've called or had an issue they've promptly and professionally resolved it. Thanks Heartland, I appreciate it!
