Fantastic service , quick response and qualified tech's . My furnace quit in the early evening on a
friday . I called and got a message service , I left a message and was called back promptly . Within an hour Service Today was at my door and within 30 mins my heat was on . Im very glad I called , and I would highly recommend Service Today .

Jerry came out and within 5-10 mins he told me exactly what the problem was. Told me exactly how much it would cost to get the a.c. running again.
I am a renter and my landlord has let my family go without a.c. for 2 weeks.
He gave me some great advice and I will be using them and referring them to everyone I know!!
Also, I called and he was here in less than 3p mins.

Woke up on Father’s Day morning 90° in the house call Jerry. He was here by 12 and had my air conditioning going same day I called this company is great.

We prefer Service Today over the bigger and more expensive outfits
operating in the Springfield area. Their services are reasonably priced,
and they are always quick to come out and fix whatever problem we have with our appliances, heating, air conditioning, or plumbing. The first time we used their services, about 12 years ago, a master plumber named Robin told us he would never replace what could be repaired.

We have used Service Today since we moved to the area in 1999. They have repaired and replaced our HVAC system; repaired our washer and dryer; repaired our gas stove; replaced two gas hot water heaters; I could go on. The point is that we can always count on them showing up on time, knowing what they are doing, and charging a fair price.

After experiencing a small emergency, I called Service One thinking I would have to wait a few days for assistance. Much to my surprise the young lady assured me their crew would come by that very afternoon.

Even before the appointment, one of the repair guys called me and asked a few questions in hopes of helping me fix the problem. Jake and Jeremy arrived and were both friendly and very, very helpful. With expert know how they resolved my problem in short order. What a great experience!

I called around noon and Jerry answered on the second ring. Michael was at my home and had my dryer fixed before 4pm. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. This is the first time I've used Service Today, but it will not be the last!

Our 19 year old Goodman unit quit working. Service Today came out that day & checked the unit. They came back out quickly & put in our new unit. John & Jeremy did a great job. Will recommend Service Today to my friends & family!

Summary: Tech came out and billed me over $300 to top off freon without professionally diagnosing problem, only for freon to all leak out a couple weeks later.

Long Story: Called and set an appointment and told them that the pipe connected to my outdoor AC unit was frozen, as was the inside of the furnace. Doing some minor research online I found that a likely cause was I was low on freon. A tech came out, asked me to turn on my AC. He stood there for a little bit until the compressor kicked on. He listened and said "yup you are low on freon" and went to his van to get the R22 cylinder. He topped it off over 2 lbs and billed me just over $300. He didn't check where the leak was in the system and said he could put a can of stop leak in for another $100. I declined the stop leak. I was new to home AC problems and did not know any better and trusted the technicians judgement on topping off the system. 2 weeks passed and my pipes were frozen up again. I called another local service provider and they came and diagnosed the system for free and found that the coil inside the furnace was completely compromised and was leaking beyond repair. I wasted over $300 to have Service Today add freon just for it to leak out, without any professional advice or diagnosis. I was only told "you need to start saving for a new system" rather than diagnose the issue and let me know that the problem was not going to be solved with topping off freon. I could have used the $300 towards the actual repair of the problem which the other service provider had diagnosed for me.

Service Today has repaired, replaced or maintained the troubles I have had at my home in the last 9 years. They are always prompt, honest and knowledgeable.

Would I recommend them DEFINITELY!!!

My refrig/freezer fan motor went out overnight putting everything inside at risk. Since I purchased the unit from Lowes, I returned there this morning to discuss repair options. As I was leaving the store, I saw a Service Today van in the parking lot, so I approached. Jerry was no doubt taken by surprise and despite the fact that he was working on a different project, he took the time to listen to my predicament and even called his supplier for the needed part (backordered) and provided me with another online lead and his business card. In the end, I decided to purchase a new fridge rather than replace the motor, but I wanted to leave this review to say thanks to Jerry for treating a perfect stranger who walked up to his van with uncommon courtesy. I will be sure to make Jerry my first call next time!

I have used several HVAC companies over the years for my residence and rental homes but none have performed as well as Service Today. AC went out (on a hot day, of course), called Service Today at 8:30 a.m., Jerry was at my house by noon, determined short in the compressor and had a new unit installed before 5 p.m. that day! The new unit was $2000 less than a smaller unit I had just installed at a rental home! So, lightning fast service at an unbeatable price - Service Today is now my go-to HVAC company for my residence and my business.

We have used Service Today for 15 years where I work and I have also used them in my own home and referred them to family and friends. Jerry and John replaced our furnace, air conditioner and duct work. We are very happy with every aspect of the job. Great, honest company that does great work!

I have used Today’s Service since we bought this house in April of 2019. We had a stove cooktop that would not heat up properly. We were told by another company if we wanted to replace it that it would cost $4000.-$5000. (This is because we wanted to get a gas unit instead of this Fridgedare electric unit). We called Service Today and asked Jerry to do the job. He said, “Wait a second it appears your unit is only getting 110v but it needs 220v”. He ran a quick check and discovered he was right. One of the hot wires was connected to a ground wire and it was not getting 220v as a result. He connected the wires properly and the stove cooktop worked just like it was supposed to work. (It was a new model and we knew something didn’t seem right). Jerry only charged us $75 for a service call and saved us almost $5000. The people who lived here before us were DIY people and had hooked up the cooktop wrong. We have had Service Today come out for other repairs and is has always been a good experience. Now, I won’t call anyone else until I check with Service Today.

These guys are great! They tried to buy me some extra time before I had to replace my old heating & cooling system, but my a/c finally crashed mid-July. Jerry & the crew were very courteous & professional. Made me feel comfortable from the get-go. I am so happy with my new unit & the energy I will be saving. Their pricing is also very competitive. I will definitely use them again for anything that I might need in the future!

Awesome service! I called near closing time of one day and a repair tech was at my home by the next morning. He quickly found and addressed the issue with our HVAC system and also offered some tips to improve efficiency. Great company!

I am a local attorney and can be hard to please. That being said, I have used Service Today multiple times to fix my furnace and air as well as appliances. They have been prompt, courteous to a fault and very reasonable cost wise. I have never felt like I was being sold something I didn't need and am impressed with the company's honesty. I have used other companies in the past who would charge me four times as much and be quite arrogant. I cannot recommend Service Today enough.

What a great experience! When I realized we were having issues with our water heater I was dreading making a call because I just knew it would be a hassle and run around. After receiving a recommendation for Jerry at Service Today, I was pleasantly surprised! Not only was the work done in less than 24 hours from my initial call, he also handled the warranty claim for the parts and left the closet in clean condition! In addition to excellent service, the prices were also very reasonable. I would highly recommend them for all of your plumbing and HVAC needs!

I've used Service Today since I bought my home in 2006. I have always found them to be honest & professional, but this year 2022 they surpassed themselves. In this day of businesses trying to take advantage and not caring about their long time customers Service Today stands heads above the rest. March, 2022 I was in a collision with an out of control truck that shattered my ankle leaving me seriously injured. While recovering in a skilled nursing facility my home central AC unit began to have issues so my son called another company. That company put some freon in the unit and quoted my son a HUGE price/(thousands) to repair and/or replace the unit.
Once I was released to go home I called Jerry Brummett @ Service Today because I trust them and they had originally installed the unit in 2012. Within a day Jerry Brummett, the owner called me. I explained my problem and he scheduled a time to come check it. Jerry didn't try to sell me a new expensive condenser coil (thousands) instead he "repaired" the condenser coil for a minimal amount. Jerry Brummett's not just an honest business man, but he truly has compassion for others. I didn't think that there were many honest, good folks left, but Jerry proved me wrong. I am so grateful to him. They don't make them like that anymore!

Jeff came out on a snowy, negative temperature, Sunday to fix our furnace that went out. He was very professional and was able to fix the problem in no time and for a great price for emergency hours. We highly recommend!

I have been doing business with Knights Heating and Air for the last 5 years. They take care of my regular maintenance and preventive maintenance. They have also installed a new system for me last year replacing our 18 year old one. Every one of their technicians has been very professional and courteous. They have been very fair in pricing.
