Constraction reviews in St. Louis, Missouri

Coming across J B bridge from Illinois this morning 5/20, 6:50AM and there is a Keely dump truck pulling a trailer just raining rocks off the back of the trailer on to the interstate and the front of my truck.
I hope your employees aren’t all this irresponsible for the sake of your customers. -
Cheap construction materials coupled with an elegant architectural facade. Enduring residence within the apartment complexes crafted by these individuals proves to be a challenge, exacerbated by both the inherent noise and subpar property management practices.

Driving North on I380 just North of Cedar Rapids had pick up truck unit number TK522 try to pass us on the right lane in traffic when we were already doing 10 over the speed limit. When he ran out of room in right lane he tried to merge into our lane with us still in it pushed us off the road onto shoulder while we’re trying to avoid the collision. He still continued pass us while doing well over 10 over the speed limit.

They are currently working at a condominium down here at the Lake. I stay here full time. I must say I am impressed with their work. They have a lot of employees and a lot of equipment. Really makes everything run like a smooth work horse. 5/5 stars. They get the big jobs done. And properly!

Don't pay their bills, no communication with suppliers, if they contact you for materials just know you will be waiting 100+ days for payment and no one will answer your calls. Ridiculous

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We were contacted by their Western Regions Operations Manager, a Mr. Welby, on a Friday morning needing dramatic clean-up on a large commercial site, that needed to be COMPLETED by the following Tuesday. After much correspondence, which included him sending job instructions as well as an app that we had to download to check in when we got there & update the status, we sent 2 crews out the following morning. He & Brandon, our other contact with Keeley Construction, wanted us to let them know of any work needing to be done that was beyond the current scope of work so it could be submitted for approval. At the end of the day Tuesday, we sent them the info they requested. On Wednesday morning when we hadn't heard back, I followed up with an email to Mr. Welby to which he replied simply with “Sorry, this work has not been approved yet.” We understood that response to refer to the additional work proposal requested and not the already approved scope of work we had just completed the day before, the day Mr. Welby said he NEEDED it to be completed. But apparently I was mistaken, because we've tried reaching out numerous times regarding payment on the job he needed to be done by that Tuesday. Their stance is now that the job we did was not approved, even though we have email correspondence that clearly states and/or implies the definitive opposite. I would recommend steering clear of business dealings with this company if you are expecting to be paid for the work you do for them. They appear to be a large corporation willing & determined to take advantage of any local small business.

This was one of the most stressful contractor experiences we’ve had.
We hired Nick from Innovative Cleaning & Restoration LLC for mold remediation and flooring demo at our property in Florissant, MO. As out-of-state owners, we relied heavily on clear communication, documentation, and sticking to the agreed scope.
We paid a 50% deposit based on a written contract that clearly outlined the work. After the job started, Nick told us the contract was “wrong” and demanded an additional $2,000 to continue for work that was already included in the original agreement.
We did not refuse to pay. We asked for a clear, itemized breakdown and requested that he proceed under the contract we both agreed to. The explanation we received did not justify the increase, and the numbers did not align with the original scope.
Instead of clarifying or working through it professionally, his tone and behavior changed significantly. Communication became increasingly confrontational and at times felt alarming when we asked reasonable questions about the scope and pricing.
We made multiple efforts to move forward; including offering to pay more as a compromise and requesting basic documentation of completed work so we could fairly reconcile payment. As out-of-state owners, this is a standard and reasonable request, but that documentation was never clearly provided.
Nick refused any compromise, claiming he had done “extra” work for free, but then attempted to charge for it after the fact. When we did not agree to unauthorized charges and asked to follow the original agreement or to agree on reasonable compromise, communication escalated further and included messages that were very concerning (screenshot included).
Instead of resolving the issue, Nick walked off the job and declared the project “closed” before completing the agreed scope, and refused to return the deposit. He stated they would clear out of the property that day.
After that, he later sent messages claiming equipment had been left behind and that we had “allowed it to be stolen.”. We had our realtor and multiple contractors go by the property and verify no equipment was there.
After other professionals raised concerns about the work Nick did, we requested his insurance information. He refused to provide it.
We made every reasonable effort to resolve this cooperatively. The issue was never unwillingness to pay; it was simply a request for transparency and to follow the agreed contract.
We ultimately disputed the deposit through our cardholder, and the chargeback was approved.
I understand that projects can uncover challenges, but demanding a large additional payment without a clear, justified breakdown, then refusing to complete the agreed work and handling the situation this way, was very concerning.
If you’re considering this company, especially for mold remediation work, I strongly recommend:
- Get a detailed, itemized scope in writing
- Be cautious of significant mid-project price changes
- Keep all communication in writing
- Request proof of insurance upfront
I wish this had been handled professionally. -

I had a foundation leak that damaged several rooms in my basement. Nick and his team performed wonders and had my basement drying in hours. Even showed me where the foundation issue was located. A must call company.

We had a bad strom over the weekend so when we got back in the office it was water up to our ankles so we called Innovative Cleaning and Restoration came out and made it look like there was never any water damage at all. Nick and his crew was so professional and got it done quickly. If it ever happen again I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call

This "business" is a complete scam. We hired Nick to restore our roof beacuse water was coming through and he just went up there and put down a big plastic bag. After paying him thousands of dollars for essentially a huge plastic bag we now have the same problem but our ceilings are falling down inside the house and there is a huge bag blowing around on our roof. Nick the owner isn't awnsering our calls and we are now having to have the Sheriff serve him papers. Terrible idea to ever hire them to even sweep a floor. Worst laborers in St Louis by far!

Nick and his worker were fantastic in finding my burst pipes in the dry wall, cleaning the water damaged areas, and going above and beyond to take care of what needed to be done. He went to multiple stores to get needed parts and lit my pilot light in my water heater (which I didn’t even think of as a necessary fix). Highly recommend their services.

Innovative cleaning & Restoration is a company in which you wish all companies were like to have work for you. Nick the owner, makes his clients feel like they are important to him. He is willing to go beyond to complete the job for you. He is honest and very considerate. He makes it a point to make sure his customer is satisfied and try to make sure that you understand what he is telling you and that you understand him. Nick welcomes the customer to call him anytime with concerns or questions. I highly recommend Nick to anyone who needs to hire someone in his field. You will not be disappointed and you will be glad that you chose to hire Nick. The work that he does is very thorough and to your satisfaction.
Thank you Nick! -
Nick was absolutely amazing! He was the only company to come in my home and respectfully bid the job in a matter of minutes. He thoroughly broke down the important factors that needed addressed and answered all of my questions I had the day of the initial bid. The crew and himself used all proper containment needed to ensure my home was not damaged further by any demo they had to perform. After the job was complete, he has since returned correspondence and double checked to ensure I was happy with the completed work they had performed. They are the most professional and customer appreciative company I have come in contact with. I RECOMMEND INNOVATIVE CLEANING AND RESTORATION LLC. TO EVERYONE WITH A 5 ☆ RATING. they are great!

Paola and her cleanup crew (Lina, DaMarkys and Abdi) were brought in after our house fire for clean-up and smoke remediation. They were very professional and consciousness through the whole process.
*** Update *** 11/22/24
Our furniture is back. Paola, Sam, and Dario returned all our possessions clean and intact. Furniture was placed where we asked and all pkg materials removed. Still 5 stars 🌟 -
I had a great experience with Devin and Kayden who came to lay a tarp on my damaged garage roof. They communicated well and cleaned up after themselves. I’m very pleased with the work and would recommend them to anyone.

Paul Davis Restoration responded quickly to a flooded basement. They kept me up to date throughout the entire process. The team was well trained and worked extremely efficiently. My basement was emptied of all items, all areas thoroughly dried, and anti-microbial spray was applied. All this was completed within 3 days after starting the work, and for less money than the agreed upon estimate! Excellent work and I’m extremely happy with the results. 5 out of 5!

Devan did a great efficient job of taping and covering bedroom and bathroom furniture. He’s accomplished at his job. Personable. Explains what’s happening and how this drying procedure works. A great asset to Paul Davis.

Eddie and Jose were very cordial, they did a very nice job on the ceiling of our living room. We really appreciate them.
