What started as a pool liner replacement turned into major project that included wall replacement, wall repair, and cement walk replacement. Luis was great with solving problems that appeared and very flexible with the additional time it took to complete. This was a difficult project that was handled professionally. Now have a great looking pool.

Luis and crew were amazing! They came and cleaned up my parent’s pool after a couple of years of sitting dormant…it literally looks like a pond! Afterwards it was back to its wonderful salt water clear blue water! They were prompt, responsive to questions/concerns from a novice pool owner (me), and left the job site clean and better than it was before they came. We will continue to use and recommend them for all pool needs!

Luis is very nice and very knowledgeable about pools! We needed some stuff done with our pool equipment before someone else could come and do some other work for us and Luis made sure to get that done for us on time! Communication was great and prices are reasonable too!

We had a broken vinyl liner as we opened the pool in late may Acapulco quoted 4-6 weeks and we had our pool back before the 4th of July. They did a great job with the measurements and when the liner came in they scheduled right away and installed in 2 days. This saved our summer. Thanks Acapulco team!

We were in great need of pool painting and concrete patch work. Not only was the Acapulco team timely, professional and had to travel a ways, they did an excellent job and showed up on the date that was agreed on. From the time of bidding the project, to painting, repairs and ordering a new pool cover w installment, it has been a very pleasant experience. If there was a ranking of ten stars I would give that. Maria, the lady who manages phone calls is very pleasant to visit with and schedule things and so helpful. Nice job Acapulco Pools, you have our ongoing business.

Ever since moving into my mid-century modern house on the east side of Lincoln, I dreamed of renovating my drab suburban backyard into an outdoor oasis. I knew I wanted a concrete (gunite) pool — I loved the look, the flexibility of design, and the performance. But I also wanted some other major work done — I wanted to turn my basement into a walk-out, complete with a sunken patio and firepit. And I wanted huge raised beds for landscaping, with not a single blade of grass in my backyard anymore. I spent months drawing up plans, laying everything out in the yard, and trying to get a feel for how everything would go together. I got really excited to pull the trigger… until I started getting quotes from contractors. The big names in town wanted to charge an arm and a leg for just the pool portion of the project, and weren't interested in touching the rest of the work. So I started looking around at newer pool companies.

I stumbled upon Acapulco Pool & Spa — with nothing but a small collection of oddly-perfect 5-star reviews — and was a bit suspicious. There are a bunch of weird pool companies around here that pop up, take your money, and disappear. But after doing a bit of research on these folks, I felt good enough about them to reach out and get a quote.

Francisco showed up and walked me through everything. Sure, we talked about pool shapes and finishes and automatic covers — but unlike the other pool contractors, Francisco spent a ton of time looking at my architectural drawings and walking through potential changes I’d want to make, plus project staging and construction. This guy obviously knows his stuff, and he made sure I had all the answers I needed. I met Luis a few days later to talk more about everything. We went back and forth several times on the plans before he even asked for a deposit. I ended up pulling the trigger, and couldn’t be happier.

This was a massive project. They did 100% of the grading and concrete work, including building giant 4’-tall 8”-thick cast-in-place retaining walls. Everything had to be a hand-troweled finish, requiring huge crews and perfect timing. They nailed it. They had to do a ton of work with drainage systems — they had to dig a trench 40’ long and 8’ deep to install a sump system for my sunken patio; they also installed more than 100 ft of nearly-invisible 1” strip drain all around the pool. Honestly, the pool itself was probably the least interesting part of the whole project, but they knocked it out of the park — the tile and plaster jobs look great.

Because of the massive scale of the project, it took all season last year, so I got to spend a ton of time with Luis, Francisco, Fernando, and the rest of the guys. They’re all really passionate guy who care about doing things the right way. I learned that they’re from a big family of pool builders who moved to Lincoln and immediately made an impact with all the local pool builders (you’ll see some of the same guys working for the more established names here in town). They also know all the talented folks around here, so they can bring them in when they need to crew up for a big day. Because of this, they’re essentially able to strip out the middle man — you’re getting the same crew, but you don’t have to pay for the office space, secretaries, and marketing/advertising campaigns that the big guys in town spend their money on. And it shows — their quote came in about half of what the biggest builder in town wanted.

I was able to open the pool last fall when they finished it, and have swam every warm day we’ve had so far (it’s been a crazy spring so far in Lincoln). I still have a ton of landscaping and gardening to do, and a bit of odds-and-ends related to the pool, but I wanted to post this review this spring, since I know a lot of people in town are starting to think about pools.

So yes, now I am adding to that collection of oddly-perfect 5-star reviews. Couldn't be happier!

We couldn’t be happier with the massive transformation Acapulco Pools delivered on our 43-year-old pool. This was more than just a renovation; it was a total revival, and the result is truly stunning—it looks like a brand new pool again!

The scope of work was significant: they removed all the old coping, installed beautiful brick pavers, replaced new liner track, put in a new skimmer, and finished it all off with a flawless new liner. The quality of work is top-notch, with meticulous attention to every detail.

Called to get an inspection and estimate for our roof. Gave them info and never heard back. I got another company who came out, inspected and gave estimate.

We had a fantastic experience with DryHero and Ritch. We bought a home and discovered water issues in the basement directly upon moving in. As we took up the carpet, we found mold in the walls in two different rooms. We called DryHero for a quote, based on the positive reviews we found online. We also called another company that we had a great experience with in our past home. We were stunned at how much less DryHero’s bid was. In fact, we were worried that we hadn’t clearly communicated our needs and spent a lot of time going back and forth with Ritch. He was incredibly patient and responsive and helped us feel confident to move forward with DryHero. They came and did fantastic and efficient work at a great price. We recently found something that we thought might be more mold and Ritch again was very responsive and helped us solve the problem, assuring us that it wasn’t mold and we could manage the situation on our own. We so appreciate his help, responsiveness and cost-effectiveness for a job truly well done. We will call DryHero again in a heart-beat (but hope we won’t need to again anytime soon)!
