Constraction reviews in Las Vegas, Nevada

The owners David and Michael are very prompt at collecting your money but when you want to find out what and when the next steps are coming, they do not return calls. David hung up on me and Mike is just rude. They call themselves a family owned business and that's true (father and son) but they have NO employees. They falsify contracts and refuse to honor their mistakes. They subcontract everything out. Delay after delay with no communication. Find another pool builder.

I would say this is the worst experience with any company I have ever had. They will sell you on a vision of a smooth quick build within your time frame to get the job. However once the process starts there was delay after delay. Once you complain about the process taking too long or broken promises they will ignore you and the work will cease. There were weeks that they would not speak to me or my wife. The building of a pool is a significant expense and one that we did not take likely. We work hard for our money and want to be treated with respect and a little appreciation since we hired them for the job. This company will treat you like you are the problem. We still have issues outstanding that were promised to be fixed. They damaged our walls with the heavy equipment, stains by nails left in the pool from construction and an electrical issue with the wiring of specific equipment that is recommended to be on a dedicated circuit. When installing our fiberglass pool they cracked the top right hand step. They worked with the pool manufacturer initially, in the end the manufacturer of the pool (Aloha Pools) paid someone to come and repair since even they could not get a return call from these guys. There is no way I could or would recommend this company to anyone.

Great experience. Beautiful pool. We got exactly what we wanted at a price we could afford. Team was easy to work with and did what they promised.

The goal is to have everyone's backyard look as beautiful as in the hawaiian islands. Water at its best. Also, now featuring fiberglass pools easy to take care of low maintenance.
Ight minutes 25 year warranty quick Installation. Price is starting less than you expect. -

As already posted Hawaiian Pools don't build anything.
They operate as General Contractor, while hiring subcontractor for any physical work. Such procedure is regulated by NEVADA REVISED STATUTE (NAC) 624.
I was getting bids from 3 pool companies and it was a painful process. I knew precisely what I want, but nobody could record the 6 measurements correctly.
It was David from Hawaiian Pools who in front of my eyes created 3D pictures of my future pool and gave me good quote to match.
But the man never come up with construction drawings and he was sending subcontractors with wrong sketches.
Finally to correct his 4ht or 5th error, he charged me $650 for "order change". The man has a problem!
The job was going nicely at the beginning as excavating co and plumbers did very nice job.
Electricians made some mess, but prepared the conduits for gunite.
It was the shoddy Gunite Co, who send unqualified people on the job.
Mike show up at the beginning of the job and I pointed to his attention that even that was said before, the Gunite leadman was getting ready to pour concrete over the mess electrician left in the excavation. Mike assured me that will be take care about, but 15 minutes later he left the jobsite and let the concrete to be poured over loose dirt.
The gunite shell was done on training crew level. Everything was crocked, out of level, out of plumb and to top it the shell was 5" shallower than the specifications.
When I called Hawaiian Pools to resolve the issue, David with other "expert" (who never gave his name) was distracting me, when Mike was walking around jobstie and stealing parts. The man has a problem!
Their solution to fix the butchered gunite was putting lean on my house.
It took litigation to show Hawaiian Pool violated about 15 points of Statue 624. In court negotiation I paid them part what they wanted and finished pool myself (I retired from construction, but never build a pool). That turn good as I was able to cut & grind about 1000 lb excess concrete from the shell, did nice marble tiles and was able to find plaster contractor for about 1/3 price that Hawaiian Pool was planning to charge me.
At the end I think "The family" are modern con men. They will lure you into contract they have no intention to observe and when trouble come, they will hide under a rock while slamming you with bills they did not earn. -
Very professional company, excellent prices and work!
-
Absolutely beautiful work, super fast and so easy to deal with! My go-to from this point forward.
-
Jon and his team have completed another job on time and under budget for me. "Again" I will continue to be a loyal customer of Nationwide Pool Design
-
Gerald was very courteous and the most knowledgeable person that knows where to look for problems. Your company has an A-plus man.

Jon and co. refinished the plaster, tile, and replaced a glass-block wall with concrete & tile. Excellent job with with timely updates along the way! Two years later and no problems!
-
This has been a horrible experience. Terrible follow through. We signed our contract almost 60 days ago and very little progress. A worker out 4 hours per week in the last five weeks. Estimated time of completion was 5/2/2019. We are not even close.

Thank you to Nationwide Pool for going above and beyond.
I needed some tile from a previous project and Beka found me some. She was kind and efficient and completely delightful. Thank you. -
Worst customer service ever, the woman on the phone just hung up on me and wouldn't let me speak, me being extremely polite and her just yelling, "if you don't know how to talk to customers try another job". Today is the last day that I will be their client, one less for you guys!!! there are many more pool companies in las vegas, don't waste your time with these... too bad because Art was the only good person there!!!

Nationwide provided excellent service and a great value. They performed all of the work in a timely and professional manner and I highly recommend them to anyone needing a remodel or equipment update.

It seems like it took forever to get the correct estimate, and even then, it was unclear about the work to be performed. When I called and spoke to the representative, he made it quite clear that the work only included a certain amount of tasks. Thank goodness I didn't sign the estimate accepting the proposal prior to that because it was very vague and I would have been screwed. I had to ask and ask and ask and to get the correct proposal. My opinion is that they probably subcontract their work out and they really don't care about the consumer or their work product. They only want money money money. In my opinion, they probably seemed more like Liaisons to subcontractors. No thanks Nationwide; your business is very unprofessional and for the high prices that you charge for minimum work and your attitude in providing the estimates and telling the truth, finally, tells me all I need to know.

It has been an excellent experience working with Nationwide Pool Design. The quartz design in the pool and decking look fantastic. Mike and his team are professional and a pleasure to work with.

Ghosted by this business. They came out to do an estimate and promised it the following Monday. When I called the following week, I was told the person who came out was on vacation. He had given the estimate write-up to someone else, who never called me. When I called again the week after that, the original person was "out of the office" but my message would be left on his desk the following Monday. I even asked if he could call just to let me know they didn't want the job, so I would know to start looking elsewhere. Couldn't even make that phone call. Unless you have thousands of dollars to spend on a full remodel, I wouldn't bother reaching out to them.
Also notice they replied to my review within 4-1/2 hours, but no phone call in three weeks? -
amazing company! Loved their customer service!
-
Had them redo our decking and redo our whole pool , from replaster and retiling about a year and a half ago. Spent over 12k..closer to 20k ..They did a wonderful job , my pool looks amazing . I would love to give them a better review BUT they have horrible costumer service. Called numerous times for warranty repair and NO CALLS back EVER and the repair would be so simple . Still here waiting if they would like to make this right so I can change my review

This company did an excellent job. The resurfaced my pool, decking and fixed my lights. Great price for everything and they knocked it our very quickly. I highly recommend using them.

So we have a deck surrounding the pool at my in-laws house that was in bad shape. I found Nationwide pool on HomeAdvisor and contacted them.
They were quick, professional and warrantee their work.
I cannot tell you how wonderful it is now to have a pool deck that looks brand new.
If I could give them more than five stars I would.
