Since signing my contract for the Solar panels on my house here in Phoenix, my experience has been horrible. I have had the panels on my home for 4 months now and they have yet to be turned on. I have received more information from the people who did the installation than I have from the company. I went 5 weeks receiving the same exact email update from 1Solar, probably sent automatically, giving me "upcoming dates" about events that had already happened. When I had my initial consultation with the sales rep I explained my only concern with the project was that my home was older and I wasn't sure it could handle the new panels. This concern was completely brushed off and I was told after the panels were already put on my house that I would have to wait another 2 months to have my electrical panel upgraded. I have been told by two different 1Solar reps that my final inspection was going to happen over the last week, but both dates I was told no one showed up. On each occasion i reached out to the rep that gave me the date, and to this day I have yet to receive a response. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I would strongly encourage anyone who is interested in getting solar panels on their house use literally any other company than this one.

My biggest concern now is that I will be caught with a huge lien on my house for these panels after this company inevitably goes out of business.

My family went solar last year with Christian Zentz and 1 solar. Our experience has been great. The process was very seamless and simple. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking into solar panels for their home.

I was stuck in a very frustrating situation when buying a new home with solar already installed. The system was not producing. I called 1solar to troubleshoot and have been very pleased with the customer service team. Ezra and Jantz did a lot of footwork for us and were very helpful. They ended up getting me a new inverter delivered via manufacturer warranty and I am currently awaiting install. Shoutout to Ezra and Jantz who have gone above and beyond to assist, coordinate, and communicate everything. They have made this process easy and stress free!

My only complaint is with the two young men who sold me on solar. They were very nice, but told me one absolute lie that I am angry about. My belief is that, because of my age (I'm 81), they felt they could tell me ANYthing. It was : when I mentioned that I might be selling my townhouse sometime in the future - they ASSURED me that if the new owners didn't want solar, the equipment and panels would be removed at NO COST!! Sounded good. Okay let's do it. Now, I've listed my place. The realtor assured me that, no, I had a lease on the panels (they had also neglected to explain it was a lease) for 20 years!! The lease would transfer to the new owners! I called the office to check - and, of course, the realtor was right! When I let the salesperson know how upset I was, he just said "solar will help your place sell"! Maybe so - but I DON'T LIKE BEING LIED TO!!

Solar 1 has been amazing so far . They are very detailed and great customer service . They have been there every step of the way , and have answered every question I have had so far . They will follow you through email and sms to see how you are and how the system is doing . I highly recommend solar 1 without a doubt . 5 stars .

This company scammed me!!! Stay away!!!

First off, they took off my pool solar…when that wasn’t in the contract. The pool solar was t supposed to come down. However, they only took off half of the pool solar infrastructure…and left the other half JUST HANGING FROM THE SIDE OF MY HOUSE! Anytime is was windy…the pipe banged against my bedroom wall. I don’t explained the issue…and basically said it wasn’t their problem. They hired a company to install…and that is their problem! This is what the Director of Sales said to me…before he stopped returning my calls. They agreed that they made a mistake taking off the solar panels and they would replace it…but…they put up used panels…and they cut the wires to the control panel…and they won’t replace that. I was quoted 1k to fix that.

Also, my breaker box was in a cabinet in my garage(my garage is remodeled). They knew this. The inspector said the breaker box can’t be in a cabinet. The inspector had to come 3 times. Yep, 3 times. And why did the inspector have to come 3 times? Well, because the company never came out to fix the problem. They just left it. For a month.

Also, they didn’t put enough solar panels to cover my electric bill. It has been months…and my lowest bill has been over $400….the highest has been $650.

If you are reading this…just don’t take the chance. They lied. They won’t make the situation right. I still have pipes hanging off the side of my house. I still have a $400 electric bill…on top of my bill I have for solar.

Not worth it at all!!!! They didn’t tell me all the important things about owning solar panels. They told me it was going to take 2 weeks to get my solar turned back on after it randomly turned its self off. Once you have the solar panels, you are stuck with them even if it’s not saving you any money on power. I don’t see the financial benefit at all. Just pay your power bill, it’s the same or less than the solar bill.

Buyer beware! There should be a star rating less than zero. I’m beyond frustrated with this company and rep Michael Cook. Purchased a home 13 months ago with this 100k product already installed. Every energy bill has been extremely high with no indication that the panels are working so we reach out to the company and they say it may be a battery issue and connect us with Michael. He then tells us without ever sending anyone to check the battery that we (1 adult and 2 children under 10) are using too much energy and they can cut our bill in half if we buy another 120k in panels. I’m sure that’s the same story he told the original owners. Consumer fraud report coming soon!

1Solar is the installer and servicer of my solar system through Sunova. In addition to an exceptionally smooth installation on my 100 year old house, they had to help with a removal and reinstall after severe weather damaged my roof. They were quick to respond and thoughtful on reinstallation as my roof had changed, and they made a more attractive layout.
Especially helpful was Ezra in the office who bent over backwards to make sure we got the reinstall done quickly and with replacement panels included, avoiding another delivery charge. He really took care of me.

I wish I read reviews before working with this company. They hired my landscape company to do a project for a homeowner. Their plan was to tie in the price of our project with the loan of the solar deal to help the homeowner out. They paid our initial deposit and agreed to the figures. When the project was complete they requested information from us so we can get paid for our portion. After everything was sent back to 1 solar they informed us that they are not paying us and simply stopped responding to us. This company is definitely all about scamming people based off of other reviews. I am currently owed $13,500 from them and nobody has reached out to assist.

We got swindled. I convinced my wife to get solar, and now somehow we have a high power bill and a high solar payment! Customer service seems nonexistent, and no amount of calling has given us any answers. It was a rough start, taking over 6 months just to get the solar turned on after install, but just in time for the summer, like it did us any good. My energy collection is close to if not more than the energy we use each day, yet in the summer our bill is over $300 and the winter it is still over $100. I’m paying my energy company to take the energy we produce and then sell it right back to us for a profit!! Are you kidding me?! I don’t know where or how it went wrong but this is one expensive mistake you should avoid

STAY AWAY!!! I deeply regret choosing this solar company. They are the reason why solar companies get a bad rep. The system they installed for my home is completely undersized for my energy needs, even though I provided detailed information about my usage during the consultation. As a result, my electricity bill remains high, and now I’m stuck paying both my utility bill and the solar loan. This completely defeats the purpose of going solar, and I feel misled by their sales pitch. All they care about is making a quick sale to get commission. I feel like I wasted my money and would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

I am very pleased with my solar installation by 1Solar. The installation was very professional and efficient and passed all city and power company inspections without issue. They delivered a high quality product and the ability to monitor my panels live is extraordinarily useful (I can see how much I am saving daily, monthly, and yearly).
The only recommendation I have for the company is better training for the concierge (contact person) as the one I had was often unresponsive. But when I did contact 1Solar by phone to speak with someone they were always professional and on top of resolving any issue I had.
Recommendations to customers is to be patient! It will take 4-6 months to complete your solar project mainly due to city and power company timelines which can take the bulk of the time. I found once inspections were completed 1Solar was right on top of installation and service. Additionally, be proactive! Contact your city permitting and get added to the communication chain. You will be able to see what may be delaying your project and be better informed on progress.
Finally, I believe 1Solar is a reputable company that provides high quality solar panels and installation. I look forward to my panels paying for themselves and lower energy bills for years to come.

Very happy with our Solar installation process. AJ is excellent to work with, and made the process simple and understandable. We're now saving much more money on our energy bill.

After a few years of owning my home solar energy system a couple of panels started producing low power output. This system was originally installed by Bell solar. Since then Bell solar was purchased by 1Solar. I went to 1Solar to get the panels looked at to determine the issue for low output power. I was working with Ezra at 1Solar to get this warranty work completed. Originally it was thought that the inverters were the cause of the low power because the voltage was reading low out of the inverter, but after replacing the two inverters the low power output persisted. I re-contacted Ezra about the continued problem and it was determined that the two solar panels needed to be replaced. Ezra worked with his manager Matthew to have 1Solar step up to provide the warranty replacement of these panels.
Throughout this process Ezra has been very responsive to all of my questions and panel issues always getting back to me in a timely manner. Thanks to Ezra and Matthew of 1Solar my two faulty solar panels will be replaced at no cost.
I recommend 1Solar for your solar panel system due to their timely response to all of my warranty issues.
