Scott and his team just finished a subpanel install for our new Sunset Spas hot tub here in North Las Vegas, and the experience was flawless. Dealing with solar-connected panels can be a nightmare, and after being told by four other electricians that I needed to drop a fortune on a panel upgrade, Scott’s honesty was a breath of fresh air.

He was the only one who told us the truth: not only was an expensive upgrade unnecessary, it would have actually voided our prior permitted solar work. He saved us thousands of dollars and a major legal headache.

Beyond the technical skill, Scott was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He explains technical jargon in simple terms, was incredibly accommodating at every turn, and made sure we understood exactly what was happening throughout the process. If you value honesty, high integrity, and quality work, do yourself a favor and hire Trout Electric. I cannot recommend them enough!

Trout electric was the fourth estimate I got, they were cheaper then the 1st and on par for the other 2. I had the pleasure to work with Scott and Kyle, real cool guys. They were very easy going and on the level, we chatted it up for a bit like we were old buddies. I had them install my tesla wall connector and surge protector in the electric panel. This was March 27th. They rocked out the install and got me up and running with no issues and for a better price thwn the first place. Super professional and efficient and top notch work. Explained how charger functioned and we again chatted up some before parting ways, I also had them take care of the foot work for the permit as i am always prepared and last thing I would want is to cheap out on the permit and something go wrong with car, unit, etc and cause a fire and get hosed all because I didnt want to get a permit plus if I sell the house im sure that would help. So fast forward to today4/24 and Kyle came over, pleasant as can be, chatted it up like old times lol he took care of the logistics for permit. Everything went smooth and without issues. Talked some more about random things and parted ways. Definitely a pleasant experience and will keep them on my mind when it comes to do anything electrical at my home.

I wasn’t too sure how to go about the installation of my Tesla charger, but when I called Trout they made the whole process simple and easy. They come out free of charge to answer any questions I have and provide me with pricing while on-site. Scott said it was a fairly simple installation and was able to get started right then and there! Within a few hours I had all my questions answered and my charger installed, they even went as far as filling the city permit for me. Hands down the best company to handle any and all of my electrical needs!!

I needed a Tesla charger installed, and called Trout Electric. When Scott and his helper got to my house, they were able to give me a price right on the spot and actually installed the charger the same day. They were super professional, answered all my questions, and I felt comfortable having them in my home while my husband was gone at work.

I needed extra outlets installed on a DYI project of mine. Trout electricians arrived on time & completed project as requested. They handled the job neatly, but also made a few suggestions on future plans that I hadn't considered. Price for service was great. Trout Electric definitely my goto for electrical issues.

Be careful before purchasing!!!!
This company has horrible communication and does not live up to their offering.
1) I was told they have a 24 hour monitoring system prior to purchasing, I found out 2 days ago that the communication has been off since last August and the company has not sent any notifications, not they are saying, they don’t offer that service.
2) my sales representative completed ghosted me after telling me he’ll cover the additional charges from NY Energy (yes, I have text proof)
3) I have not left a bad review, I am at this point is extremely frustrated, after talking to a few people, I got the same feedback that this company does NOT live up to their promises!!!
4) think again before you pull the trigger!!!

I don’t even have solar yet. This place is a scam. The people who came into my
home wouldn’t leave my house, wouldn’t offer me information on the solar program, and kept trying to get me to run my credit. The company called me just now trying
to get me to do solar. I told the guy on the phone about the two guys, he told me to repeat myself because he was eating. Then he said oh, that doesn’t sound like us. must be somewhere else. This place is a straight scam.

I have been working with Ms. Louis for years on a couple projects and she has always been very dependable and honest with me since day 1. With all the scam companies and all the companies shutting down after installing your solar you need honest and trusting ppl. I have added solar to 2 of my homes and getting ready to upgrade on a third. I would not trust anyone else but Ms Louis and 1 Sun Solar!

In the years I’ve worked in the renewable energy industry… I have never known such a class act as Louise Helton and the team at 1 Sun Solar Electric.
This will sounds crazy, but for years I was hesitant to put solar on my property, even though I WORKED in the industry, believed in its benefits wholeheartedly, and helped others make the conversion! 😅
That is, until I was blessed with a meeting at 1 Sun Solar Electric, and the opportunity to work with them.

This might by the best interaction I've had with any company in my adult life.
I bought my home with solar already installed, but received no paperwork on the installer. I'd called about a dozen different companies to see who installed it before getting to 1 Sun Solar. Louise picked up the phone to help me, and to say she was helpful is an understatement. Louise informed me that 1 Sun Solar did not install my system, but stayed on the phone with me anyway for TWENTY MINUTES giving me information about the make and model, pulling permits tied to my address to help me find the correct company, giving me warranty information on my equipment, and giving me tips on what might go out first and how to tell if everything is working properly. I've never had customer service like this
before. I was blown away. At this point, I think I might rather spend my money doing business with this company than taking advantage of whatever warranty I may have gotten from the original installer. Just an incredible experience, I'm so happy I happened to call.
