Trespassed onto my property to solicit even though there are signs everywhere. And they shoved their pamphlet into my door damaging the weather strip. Will NEVER use

If I could give them a lower grade I would. Paid Jose $100.00 to mow my front and back yard and trim two bushes. Got home to find out that he "barely" mowed my front yard, did a piss poor job of trimming the two bushes and did not mow the back yard. I should have listened to my gut, because I had asked Jose for a quote on fixing my sprinkler system one time and he said it would be between 100 - 300 dollars. Cacti Landscaping did it for $70.00 in less than an hour the same day. They are crooks!

J&J's rep came on 7/4 and gave estimates for work for my house and my mother's, across the street. We decided 1st hire them for mom, as her situation was more urgent. When I called the company the week before last to give the green light, they did not have the estimate in their system and said I'd have to find my copy of the ppwk and furnish it or we'd have to start over. I found this exceedingly odd but my mother was so anxious about her yard that I decided to move forward anyway and found the paperwork, which I scanned and emailed to them.
I didn't hear anything, so I called several hours later to learn they had not received their own paperwork/estimate via their email. I was told to photograph the estimate and text the image to a phone #, which I did. It was finally received and a rep. got in touch with me a day or two later to schedule mom for the following week. The gentleman who called scheduled us for 7a this morning, August 6. I asked if there was anything a little later as my mother is elderly and is not an early riser and it's nearly impossible, for health reasons, for her to be available at that hour and I was told "No, that's all we have".
So I took the 7a reluctantly but politely. Since mom couldn't be up to greet them, assess their work, and pay them, I woke up at 6:30 and headed over to her house. They never showed up. I waited til 7:30a, then went home and went back to sleep, as I was recovering from various company in town for my recent 50th birthday. At 10a I woke up and called the office to notify them and find out what happened. Politely I explained that no one had shown for the 7a appointment. The woman who answered said "Yeah, you're on the schedule today but not until noon. Someone tried to reach you. " I said, "No, I didn't miss any calls before the appointment, not from anyone from J&J" and she went on the defense and asked if I wanted the service or not. Her tone was very rude and there was no acknowledgment or apology for having missed the appt. without so much as a phone call. She said I'll take you off the schedule and hung up on me. I then checked my phone and saw that at 9:25am a text had come in from Jose to call him. I called J&J back and stated that I had received a text, but after the fact which was not ok. I stated that a phone call to reschedule would have needed to happen BEFORE the appt.. to which the rude woman replied, "You said you weren't contacted but you were" and I said, "Look, I heard from him 2.5 hours after after the appt. was supposed to happen...An appt. that I begged to be later in the day and was refused" She said if you don't want the service, we're done. I'm not going to argue with you". I said "I don't want to argue. What is the name of the owner?" and after a long pause she said "I am". I said I find that very surprising. Will there be no apology, no attempt to earn my business?" She said "Fine, if it makes you feel better, sorry". and I said, "No that's ok, you don't mean that" and she said "Have a great day" and hung up on me.
But some things really are blessings in disguise because my mom hired her neighbor’s guy (who has serviced neighbor’s yard for 21+ yrs) who cleaned up her lawn, front & back, for exactly 1/2 the $. He is polite, humble, punctual, professional, and skillful. So affordable, and there is no rude office girl answering his phone. J&J might occasionally please a customer or two by chance, but they have zero conception, literally, of the phrase “customer service”. I was not even mildly irate when I called after their no-call; no show. I was understanding because s*#t happens. But it was like the girl had been hired to deter business because she had a nasty, mean energy and disposition and lied about being the owner. You can’t say you’re the owner because you botched an appt., didn’t bother to call, act so rude to customers who t inquire as to who owns the place. But she did!!!

Owners reply not true! It was their idea to come on July 4th! I never said estimate was urgent or that I wanted to meet on a holiday!

Jose came by the date and time we agreed upon for his estimate, and saw the HUGE job that lay ahead of him for a “DEEP CLEAN UP”! Lol. Let’s just say that, being disabled, I wasn’t able to take care of the yards, android the people that SAID they’re “gardeners”....WEREN’T; ergo the super mess. 😳😱. He and 2 other men arrived on the set day (Thanksgiving!) at 7:30am and stayed until 4:30pm —-and I didn’t see ANYONE take a break! 😎. I was completely gobsmacked when I saw the debris that was cut down/trimmed/dug up!! Now that it’s all ready for Spring, he’ll be helping me with planting shrubs/trees/flowers and continue maintenance. They’re absolutely THE BEST and I wholeheartedly recommend Jose and his crew at J&J Landscaping! 5 stars.

Needed yard clean-up quickly and Jose not only responded quickly but completed the job in within a day or two after the call. Very satisfied with service so we set up regular maintenance with them.

They're horrible. 60 days in and grass is dead, some bushes trimmed, others but yet touched. The trimmed bushes are crooked.

I called JJ landscaping to fix my old and broken sprinkler system and to re sod my front and back yard.

Their prices was very competitive and crew was very respectful. I notice they spent extra attention to the gate knowing we have a dog. This was very import since we did. Otnwant kurt dog roaming the streets due to an open gate

Also, after the work was completed, the crew cleaned everything up, I could not even tell they where back there for a week.

I enjoyed the experience with J&J very much.

These folks were freaking awesome. We called them after seeing one of their flyers and they replaced our drip line system with a brand new PVC one. They communicated clearly, were on time, did fantastic work, and came back out a week later to double check their install. 100% would recommend!

I've been with J&J for several years and just recently expanded my contract with them. I find office staff and on-site workers to be especially professional, courteous and responsive. My main contact, Jose, is great! I highly recommend this company.

Our landscaping team, Lexi and her husband, arrived early, and did everything we asked for, and at a very fair price. Our experience was great, and we will contact them again in the future.

Unfortunately, I can no longer stand by my 5 star review of this company. Google maps informed me that my review had made a difference. It seems that now, they are too busy to stop by to do anymore yard work here again. I had called them, and was put off for a week. The following week. Columbus Day, they said they could come that day. Next, I spoke with them again, and was told that they were too busy again. So, they said they would be here on Tuesday. Was ready to see them on Tuesday, with cash ready to pay for their services. Once again, they never showed up, and didn't give any reason and ignored my call. This five star review should go down to 2 stars. I am sure this was your company. "Lexi" her name is Alexis. The man with her, not sure of their relationship. I paid in cash, so maybe that's why you don't have a record of my name. I asked her to put down her contact information on an index card. She wrote down "J & J Landscaping" and her phone number. There's no mistake. If you would like me to scan the index card and e-mail it to you, I would do that.

J & J has been doing my yard maintenance for awhile now. They always do a great job and make sure the area around my yard is also cleaned up before they leave. There office staff is also very helpful accommodating. They are wonderful!

Jose (and J&J as a whole) is very professional. He did his initial survey/advising before providing a quote. He was very open to conversation and considerations, thoughts, and ideas that I had. He also provided his professional advice about what would be a good idea and a bad idea. When it was time for the job, he stayed in close communication while the crew came. If there were any delays, he made sure to communicate them in advance. The crew completed the job very timely and proficiently. They did a great cleanup to leave a clean, finished jobsite. We had weed barrier placed, 10 tons of rock placed, removed some bushes, had new bushes added, added new drippers, and a tree pulled. For plant selection, I had plants selected in advance. Some were not available at the nursery and he put me on the phone directly with the nursery staff to let me know what they had in hand and what would be close substitutions. A week after the job was done, Jose came back for a site walkdown to make sure all was complete to his and my satisfaction and to allow me the opportunity to ask questions about watering timers, etc. Very professional and I would recommend J&J to everyone!

Jose and his company are totally professional and very friendly. He was easy to work with and keeps his promises. We highly recommend him to anyone that wants beautiful work.

Cleaned up our front yard (tree trimming, weed pulling, rock cleaning) very quickly after making an initial appointment. Our yard looks great, the team was wonderful to work with, and the best part is that it was so reasonably priced. Looking forward to continue working with them.

They came and gave me a more than fair estimate and showed up the next day. I can’t believe I put it off for so long! Thank you again J &J Landscape. We have had our yard serviced by J & J a few times, and we recently contracted to have them come regularly. I wish we had done so earlier! After an initial clean-up (our backyard was an absolute disaster due to a long recuperation period after surgery), which was completed for way less than we expected, we now don't even have to think about our landscaping.

The crew and the office staff are extremely professional. They have payment options that many other landscapers do not have, including the option to pay by credit card and to have recurring service set up as an automatic payment on the day of my choosing. Scheduling with them is easy and they are reliable. I absolutely cannot say a single negative thing about this service.

I hired J&J several years ago and they've done a wonderful job keeping up my lawn. My only concern is timeliness and being organized; never can say when they will arrive at the house on a scheduled day. It's either a.m. or p.m. Recently, rainy weather earlier this month caused a delay in service by almost 3 weeks - and a yard full of weeds! I have not doubt that the team will do a good job when they come next week but being a little more timely helps with yard maintenance.

Very unsatisfactory from every angle. The office and the staff, when contacted, display a lack of competence. The field managers evaluate you solely on pricing. Occasionally, they fail to show up and completely ignore your requests. You have to plead with them to attend to your yard. They might manage to complete an acceptable job, but what value does that hold if they arrive and interact with you disrespectfully? I initially opted for this company based on their supposedly "positive" reviews, but it has turned into a continuous nightmare. I've reached my limit with their services. I'm now giving Cacti Landscapes an opportunity, as I've had enough of J&J. The stress and frustration just aren't worth it.

This place didn’t even show up on the scheduled day. Then finally showed up to do the job a week later after I kept reaching out about not showing up the first time.

After they “finished” the work, they forgot to trim the trees on the side of the house. I have been calling and emailing them about coming back to finish for two weeks now, still no response to this day. Paid $400 for a job that never was completed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Very unprofessional

I want to say thank you to J&J! I have tried to get other companies to do Landscaping and trim a tree for about 2 months. They were unresponsive to doing the work. I work probably 50 hours week crazy busy. Jose came gave estimate and time frame to complete work. He showed and they did exactly what we talked about while I was at work. I will use them again and would highly recommend to others.

We recently had all of our sprinkler system and drip system redone/upgraded due to it being very old and had a leak issue, and the work was done exceptionally well. You would not have known there was work done because everything was put back in its place and the leftover debris was removed. J&J always does such professional work and I recommend them highly. They also do our lawn maintenance and we are pleased with all they do.
