Today I have ordered deluxe timeless tulips for my son. He received the order on time but I was little disappointed because two tulips were wilted, and the flowers with the vase delivered weren’t similar to the picture displayed on the website. You should change the display !!! Not worth the price!!

Moana has a wide selection of plants that will grow in Northern Nevada. Each employee is well versed in plant knowledge. Moana also has experts available to help! Each nursery has a marvelous layout and is quite lovely to stroll around. I love buying plants here and getting the help I need when I am failing at keeping some plants alive. Inside each store there are a variety of chic garden items as well as indoor plants and plant nutrients. Swing by and see for yourself!

Moana has a huge variety of plants. Easy access, prices are higher than other places but they do haves sales.

Many thanks to Jerry for being so nice on the phone while I asked questions about flower delivery for my grandmother while she is in the hospital. I appreciate his kindness and patience with me. I will definitely continue to use this shop for flowers.

So Ticked Off.
I ordered a plant from the garden shop to be delivered to my sister for her birthday. I told the very polite order taker that I wanted to spend no more than $125.00.
They sent a 6” plant in a ceramic pot. The bill was $155.00! My sister lives 2.1 miles from the nursery but I still paid a delivery fee of $25.00.
It was an over budget, over priced, disappointing experience.

Not impressed, they have too many issues, and the point of contact on S. Virginia Street are ‘RUDE’.
1. They did not fulfill the order that was submitted by the Landscaping Company – they can’t keep track of their inventory and accurately manage it. This resulted in last minute switching around for other trees and higher costs
2. Other trees were dead and invested with bugs …. So those also had to be switched out! Thankfully they were purchased from another place and NOT MOANA.
3. Purchased a fountain in November, Carrie who was in charge at the time indicated that they would deliver and then set up in summer. I pre-paid the set up cost. What did it amount to, coming out and plugging it in and leaving – however that was not even scheduled, they just showed up at my door with no appointment and I was not home!!
4. Back to the simply plugging it in. Wasn’t working properly, they came back again. Still not working properly, back again and with a real attitude. Spoke to Carrie, and my goodness was she NASTY! Told me it was not her responsibility anymore since she was promoted and proceed to verbally attack me.
5. How did she get that promotion with this attitude – and guess what, her promotion is to be in charge of the landscaping/trees/etc. Yup and that was all messed up too!
6. Karla who took over the position that was once held by Carrie has no clue. Ask her a question and she has no idea.
7. Finally had to get someone not associated with Moana to address the issues.
8. Fair to say, I would never, ever order or buy anything from that location. They are a confused, angry mess who can’t manage what, where, how and when anything should be done.
9. Lastly, don’t bother to try and call, they never pick up the phone!

We went to Moana Nursery to get soil and plants for our raised bed. It was a bit hard to find just what we wanted. The herb section was not diverse. They had scads of different mint plants but no basil, which is what I wanted. The gift section is wonderful with many unique and tempting items.

We had a bad experience here with customer service. Although we like the selection of products and think it is a nice store, the rudeness of a service rep will keep us from coming back. Especially with nurseries, it is important to be helpful to customers. We got a rude response to a reasonable request, so left (never to return again) and went down the road to old stonehouse and bought there, where the provided helpful advice and service.

Stopped by again today and Bob helped us out! He was very helpful and friendly, the selection of products was good. They have a good warranty on their plants and trees. I think it's reflected in the pricing! Waiting for a sale!!

My friend was looking for some type of outdoor decoration for her yard to take the place of a tree that died. We found a beautiful ornamental planter with pedestal that will be perfect! Carolyn was very helpful in giving us the price & delivery information. Compared to some others we’ve seen, this one was reasonably priced considering how large,heavy, & beautiful it is. They had a large selection of fountains, statues, trees, plants & boulders. It was comfortable even outside as they have “sun netting”. My friend has been a customer of Moana Nursery for over 15 years… if I lived in RENO it would be my nursery too!

Seeking fresh cut Christmas trees and this was our third stop. Moana nursery had a great selection in our size (8 - 9 ft) and the price was right at $99. Beautiful shape and seems very fresh. Staff was extremely helpful in selecting a tree and also trimmed the bottom and helped us get it on the roof of our car. Highly recommend. We'll be back in the spring for our landscaping needs.

Not only are you much more expensive than your competitors but you also shorted me at least a half yard of dirt on a 1 yard purchase. After walking the yard for roughly 15 minutes to finally find somebody to help me the woman that I was able to flag down also seemed very annoyed that I needed help in the office to make a purchase. Instead of helping me, she told me to keep waiting and somebody would eventually be there.

After leaving a bad review I was very quickly contacted by the general manager Sandra, who was very eager to fix the problem and offered a full refund. She was very nice and apologetic. This company may not be perfect but they take responsibility for their mistakes and they really value their customers. You don’t see this a lot these days. Thank you.

The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I think you could spend a day here and not be bored.

I've been purchasing plants and trees from Moana for years. The employees are always friendly and go out of their way to support you and provide advice. It's great to have a nursery with such knowledgeable people. Recently I had a problem with a Honeylocust and the manager at the South Virginia location gave me the help I needed. You will not get this level of service at the big box stores. Thank you!

Some of the people working there are knowledgeable about plants and trees, and mostly the staff is friendly and helpful.
We have purchased trees there in the past, however, and they tag the ones we want while we are there, but then they deliver different (inferior) trees to our home. They are probably selling the ones we tagged and selected to someone who comes in to do a carry-out, then just replace the tree with some other one on the lot that was not selected by the customer.
This is very disappointing and we have not been happy with the trees that were delivered and planted by Moana as a result.

As a complete novice with plants and trees, I was so grateful for Sue at Moana Nursery. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and helped me pick the perfect plants while explaining their care in a way I could understand. Thanks to her, I left feeling confident and excited to start my plant journey. Highly recommend Moana Nursery, and especially Sue!

We bought a yard of some aggregate, and it was painless and fast. Also, any other time I've been to one of their facilities, things went well. Overall, they have knowledge and product! Great job, folks!

Working on a new yard project & have had amazing customer service from Jacob G! Very helpful & if he doesn’t have the immediate answer to any questions I might have, he will follow up with an answer happily & promptly. Lots of great info on plants and planting ideas. Overall just a really great experience. Thanks!!

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Aways have a good selection and email out when the have sales.

My wife and I had to replace a tree in our back yard that had died due to over-watering from our neighbor's irrigation. I researched what would work best for the location using the Moana plant search feature off their website and decided on a blue Swiss stone pine. I called, went down and picked one up that had just been delivered. It was the perfect size, one my wife could handle putting in ourselves. When I went to install the tree this week, the tree was in perfect condition for planting and everything went according to plan. I also had viewed their video on selecting and planting a tree and it was very helpful. We're very happy on how things worked out!
