I called them about a problem with my boiler and was initially quoted a few water-side parts that needed replacing. However, when another J&M technician arrived unannounced, they tried to sell me on replacing the entire unit instead of just fixing what was wrong. When I refused, they started adding more parts to the estimate, upping it by $600. To top it off, they told me I'd also have to pay a service call fee. The office explained over the phone that any work done would cover the visit cost, which sounds like a blatant lie given their actions. At that point, I was put off and asked them to leave. Needless to say, I've had my boiler fixed with parts costing $600 and labor for less than what they initially quoted.
