Con artists and thieves! Quoted a price - didn’t fix the problem and then charged more than $500 over what was quoted. Don’t send invoices - just take it upon themselves to keep charging your credit card! Stay away!

I had an emergency with my heating unit they sent a tech out that day he was even able to go get the part we needed n complete the job seamlessly and quickly they company is very professional and fast I will be using them for all future repairs and projects .

Extremely happy with the work done by Alfano Mechanical. Their prices were lower than what other companies were quoting me, and they worked with my schedule. Great work and a great company, very polite employees, will definitely use them again.

Told owner what the problem was with our pellet stove and had one of his workers come out and inspect. Took him an hour to tell me it was the igniter switch. Charged me $90 for no repair.
Told him I could get the switch from Amazon and he said do it yourself can’t compete with Amazon’s prices! The guy who came also said they would deduct the inspection price from the actual work!price Part is $30! So got ripped off

A total scam of a company. Please do not use them. They came out to my store, charged me over $ 250.00 to repair and after one hour the refrigerator was broken again. They sent someone else out and he requested an additional $ 500.00 to fix it. After weeks of trying to speak to the owner he basically offered no solution and slammed the phone down on me. DO NOT USE THEM! I have been in business over 15 years and have never encountered such a low class, irresponsible company.

Scammed Me. I should have read reviews first. Mechanic was sent for repairs by my insurance company. They explain nicely what is wrong with AC and promised to come back same day that was Friday or Monday as then need to get approval from insurance for repairs. I understand that. So I called on Monday he didn't show up. U won't believe what they said. They have already done repairs and blame me I am lying abt repairs. So called up my insurance company and they said same thing that mechanic has ur signature on invoice that repairs was done on Friday. Paper that we sign was stating that thermostat is bad and need to be repair. So we sign it. They used that against us to get money from insurance. Mechanic was at home was playing around when he was there. That u should not go through insurance as they takes months to approve it. ( now i know). I don't know that mechanic was lier or that company was playing around. Can't trust anyone from that company.

A technician showed up to our home promptly and assessed our boiler issue within the hour. He gave us a rate shortly thereafter. He was very knowledgeable and respectful. We would definitely hire again.

So my heating unit went down a few weeks ago. I called these guys at 11pm, got a call back and they where at my house 7am the next day. Spoke with Miles a few times and he helped me understand the problem as well as Gill. Top service and the tech was great too.

I have used " Alfano Mechanical" several times . Once again, I couldn't be happier with the service I received. My central air wasn't working and I called "Alfano Mechanical" to get it ready for the upcoming season. The price was very reasonable and the people were very professional and friendly to deal with. The unit now works like new and I will definitely call "Alfano Mechanical" for any future work.

Extremely happy with Alfano Mechanical service! I would highly recommend them. I was interested on installing American Standard (Trane) in my house. I went online under American Standard to find a dealer and found Alfano Mechanical in Wyckoff. The staff there was friendly and knowledgeable. When asked about how much to install a new A/c system, their price were substantially lower than the quotes I received from other HVAC companies and they would install the equipment the next day. I would highly recommend this company.

The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. The workers are very nice people, but the owner is a bully, he tried to rip me off telling me I needed a new boiler and water heater when I didn’t. They left me without gas and hot water until another company came to my rescue and found nothing wrong with my boiler or water heater. I reported them to my home protection plan.

Stay away. While the service people are very nice the owner hides behind them. They came three times for a simple job that they did not complete and in the end they wanted to install a new furnace. Another company fixed their work for a mere $95. Avoid using them.

Very impressive with the quality of work, the communication, the honesty and integrity of this business. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a stress-free process with professionals in your home that you could trust. Would certainly use them again, which is why I am reviewing because I often look for high quality consumer feedback from others.

I spoke with Phil on the phone, informed him that our HVAC and Hot Water heaters were in need of repair due to flooding from Ida. He agreed to come out and take a look. He came out, looked at the HVAC and told me I needed a whole new furnace. (others have quoted just repairing the parts). He quoted me a price for the whole furnace, and when I told him I just needed the circuit board, blower motor, etc repaired he said "we don't do parts, have a nice day" and left, slamming my door. It is their prerogative to run their business any way they see fit. But perhaps you should explain things to p[potential clients up front "you dont do parts" before coming out to visit. Their website is basically useless and gives o information. So, no I would not recommend these guys. Unless you want a curt attitude and a door slammed.

Absolutely DO NOT hire this worthless company. You’ll spend thousands and thousands of dollars to be left with a brand new AC and Furnace that doesn’t work and a voided warranty because they don’t know what they are doing...at all. Also, they don’t like to return your phone calls or show up once they already have your money.

Do yourself a favor and hire literally anyone else. No one can be as horrible as this company in.

So many bad experiences with this company. I dont even know why I called back. I had a maintenance check last year and the guy attempted to go up on the roof. Instead of asking for someone to unlock it, he proceeded to pick the lock and didn't even tell me about it. I found out from the super who watched him on camera.
Second experience I made an appointment for maintenance in advance. Two before the appt my unit began to leak. They no show/no called for my appointment. When I cashed then 2 hous later they said they wouldn't make it because they had a lot of emergencies. When i let them know I now have an emergency on my hands and I need someone today, they said they'll have to see if there are any cancellations! They had no problem cancelling my appointment without letting me know, but when I have an actual emergency, with an appointment, they are unwilling to cancel anyone else!

Completely unprofessional. Do not ever use them.

My heater was down again immediately right after the technician left. The owner Phil was very rude and didn't offer any solution or warranty. The owner said he would send some one back to fix the problem but that never happens. And then the owner stop to respond my phones call and text. I don't recommend this company because they screwed their customers. The technician are also not trained enough for the job. They used the wrong parts and didn't know very well what they are doing.

Late Saturday afternoon with temperature of 81 degrees and compressor fan not working, so no cooling. Called Alfano at 5:30 PM and Phil (owner) said he'd call back in a while after all techs finish their jobs. Called 15 minutes later and said tech would be there 8:30-9:00 Sunday. Called again and said tech was four minutes away on his way home, so he'd stop and do the job. Joe P. showed up within the five minutes. Changed the capacitor and shutoff box (latter had shorted out). Checked Freon level, all electrical connections and amperage's, and cleaned up. Charge, according to my son-in-law, who is certified HVAC tech but now disabled, is I got a bargain. Great and most pleasant service.

We had Alfano Mechanical for a sump pump problem. Dario fixed it perfectly. Very knowledgeable and professional, On time and explained everything to me. I would hight recommend Alfano.
