I am one of those crazy plant ladies and buy many plants from all over the places (including online stores like Etsy, FB marketplace, and physical stores like Home Depot, Lowes, local garden centers). but this place is my most favorite garden center in NJ. They have a good selection of plants and the price is reasonable.

I cannot express how EASY Rina and the team were to work with! I have used them multiple times now for large events including my engagement party and bridal shower. They nailed it every time! Their price is unbeatable and their professionalism is top notch! I will keep recommending them to everyone I know! Rina always has a vision and runs with it and you can trust her to make your requests happen.

Nirva was incredibly helpful in finding the perfect plant to fill my favorite pot! I was bummed about killing my snake plant, but he found a great alternative and made the whole experience really pleasant. He even suggested using a water meter to help prevent it from happening again and added charcoal to the bottom of the pot for better drainage. Truly awesome service all around!

This place is my go-to for plants and flowers. They have a fantastic variety of pots and plants, offering a much wider and more diverse selection than you would find at big-box stores like Lowe's or Home Depot.

I especially look forward to visiting on nice days in the early spring and summer. They open up the roof of the back section, and it's a wonderful sight to see all the different flowering plants and vegetable starters ready for planting.

While the staff isn't always uniformly friendly, it's not a major issue and doesn't detract from the great selection.

A couple of practical tips for visitors:
First, pay close attention to the signs for the entrance and exit. The store is located on a busy road, and it can be a bit confusing to navigate your way in and out, even with the signage.

Second, always check the traffic conditions before you go. It's very close to the George Washington Bridge, and when the bridge traffic is heavy, the congestion can be so severe that you might have to abandon your trip. It's best to check your map for delays to save yourself a potential headache.

I visited Metropolitan Plant and Flower Exchange in Fort Lee, NJ last weekend, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The space is huge, incredibly clean, and beautifully designed—with lovely water fountains that add to the peaceful, welcoming vibe. They have an enormous variety of plants and flowers—truly something for everyone, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned plant lover.

I was lucky to be helped by Nirva, who was absolutely amazing. He guided me with so much care, helping me choose healthy plants and sharing detailed tips on how to care for them. His customer service was outstanding, and his plant knowledge is impressive.

There’s also plenty of parking, which made the whole visit even easier. I’ll definitely be coming back—and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to add some beauty to their space.

We love this place, and drive here a few times a year to shop for gardening supplies for our Manhattan terrace. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, without making you feel dumb. They have a very large variety of outdoor and indoor plants plus pre-arranged hanging baskets. Good selection of perennials and some small trees. Prices are pretty good, but not as cheap as Home Depot. However -- and it's important -- we have never gotten pests with their baby plants and we have from Home Depot's stock. Also a note that's its cheaper to shop at Metropolitan (and pay the GW Bridge toll) than at any of the Manhattan nurseries. Recommend them for reliable service and products.

My first visit to the Metropolitan Plant and Flower Exchange. As a houseplant enthusiast, I welcome opportunities to see plants and the ambiance in which they are displayed in a retail setting. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill plant shop.
If you can't wait until your plants grow tall, there is an ample selection of houseplants ready to take home and fill a space; you might need a crane or delivery by a reputable service, such as Metropolitan.
I look forward to my next visit to Metropolitan, the home of healthy, well-maintained houseplants.
