I had water intrusion into my basement from a sewer pump float jam. Aiden, Christian, Maureen and Steve were all very helpful. I am grateful and will continue to use their excellent service. If you need a good, honest, reliable company, you can count on Van Natta.

Our townhouse development is currently undergoing siding and decking renovations. A couple of weeks ago soon after our siding was installed, we lost electricity in three rooms upstairs. Immediately called Van Natta to request an Electrician. Barbara who answered the call informed us that she couldn't send anyone for a couple of days but should there be a cancellation she would send someone right away and that's exactly what she did seeing our urgent need to restore electricity.
Robert Luhrs was the Electrician who came, assessed the situation, checked all the outlets and pointed out that most likely a nail through the new siding could have hit an electrical wire.
He had to come back next day and worked on the problem for several hours to restore our electricity.
Bob was very knowledgeable, thorough and professional keeping us in the loop throughout the process. We highly recommend his services and thank Barbara who was ever so helpful to arrange the appointments.
Many thanks Van Natta!! -
We had a technician here to fix our boiler. He didn't seem to know what he's doing and spent a few hours with the machine's customer support. After a few hours he just changed something with the settings, which he could probably do in less than an hour if he was professional. Obviously we had to pay for most of the time that he was trying to learn the machine. After he left, we noticed some noise and it took us a long time to get that its coming from the machine. When j called the Van Natta and asked to send someone to check if that noise is related to what he did, they wanted to charge us for it. I didn't ask them to fix anything or look for anything new. Just to see if its related.
Highly not recommended. -
I hired this company to repair a whole-house fan — a service they confirmed was within their expertise at the time of booking. However, after two visits, the fan remained nonfunctional. Eventually, reversing their position, the company stated they were unable to repair it and that they do not replace whole-house fans, suggesting I contact an appliance service instead!
Despite not resolving the issue, they billed me over $300. I offered to pay a standard diagnostic fee since no repair was completed, but they declined. I ultimately paid the full amount to avoid further hassle, but I feel misled and disappointed by their lack of transparency and unwillingness to stand behind their commitment. I would urge others to proceed with caution when dealing with this company.
In response to the owner’s reply: The account they presented requires important clarification. While on both visits the fan could be restarted manually by the electrician pushing the blades, it would not start on its own once switched off. Furthermore, after being told they could not locate the necessary part, I asked if they could replace the entire unit, and was told, “We don’t do that.” That response that was frustrating and disappointing. -
A few weeks ago we had been experiencing issues with our furnace so we reached out to Van Natta for the repair as they did a great job installing our central air a few years ago. Not only are we still having issues with our heat, we had to clean up after the plumber who left a mess. We've reached out twice to speak with the service manager and still have not heard back.
EDIT: Steve the service manager had contacted us to hear our concerns. He sent a different tech out who was extremely knowledgeable and fixed the issue right away. I want to thank Van Natta for always taking such good care of their customers! -
I had used Van Natta for many years. As I learned more about HVAC I found the quality of their service people to be very inconsistent. I had a condensate pump replaced for an air handler in a finished space and the technician did not wire it to shut off the air handler if the pump fails. The way it was installed would lead to flooding of the carpeted floor. I recently had a fan motor fail in an air handler a Van Natta technician installed years ago. Replacing a fan motor is not a major overly costly repair. However, the Van Natta technician who installed the unit ran the liquid and vapor lines directly in front of the air handler cabinet, making it impossible to slide the fan motor out of the unit to replace it. This installation does not comply with code since you need access to the service panel. And what should have been a few hundred dollar repair turned into thousands of dollars.

I reached out to them to repair my HVAC. The technician quoted me $1-3K for a heat exchanger in person. I found it weird because I had just replaced the heat exchanger a few years back, but they stated there "was a clog." I had to follow up several days to get a formal quote. They eventually quoted me $8500 for the same service. I was floored. I then went to B&M and I got a second opinion. They stated that the "heat exchanger was cracked." They never sent a quote. I then followed up with A-Plus Heat and Air. They stated that there is nothing wrong with the Heat exchanger and that it was a simple fan that needed to be fixed. They showed proof of work, built trust, and quoted me $700 to fix the unit. Point of all of this is DO NOT TRUST OR HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE AS DISHONEST AS IT GETS AND WILL OVERCHARGE YOU! Shout out to Fanini, the technician who created this mess, and to Maureen who provided the worst service experience I think I've ever had. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away.
Edit:
Their response is exactly the point I am making. There could not have been flames, the heat exchanger is in perfect condition as it was just replaced. They stated there was a clog in the heat exhanger pipe, while b&m said there was a crack. Which is it Van Natta? They can't even get their story straight. I also stated I will pay what I need to to get it fixed, but I do know that it would not be $8500 as the previous job when it was replaced was under $4000. You can stand by your diagnosis, but people should know how you operate. -
January 2025, I am sitting at the airport ready to leave the country, get a call from my daughter that the heating is not working. This happened once before, I rebooted the system and it came back on, but I couldn't remember how I did it, so I asked her to remove the panel and take a picture to see if there were any switches, there weren't, so I called Van Natta, since they serviced the unit few years prior. They send an unqualified plumber who didn't know anything about forced air units, and said they will have to wait till tomorrow morning. Next person comes in and says there is a part missing, accept that the missing part was still on the picture my daughter took for me. By this time, I an out if the country, I can't deal with it, so I tell them to fix it, which they did for a charge of $416, most of which is the cost for the missing part. A week later I return home, and call the manager explaining the situation, he insists that I must have had someone else come in trying to fix it, bc his unqualified plumber would not touch the unit (yet he was at the house for an hour doing something). After some back and forth arguing, he gave me $100 refund. I didn't really think that was fair giving it's his guy who messed up, but didn't have any way of proving my point, so I said thank you, and thought that was the end of it. Now fast forward to December 2025, same thing happened , the unit stopped working with same error code. I call Van Natta because they promised a year warranty... well they refused to come to my house because I got black listed for asking for a refund for their plumbers actions.
