Dishonest, unprofessional, and a complete scam!

This was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered a 1/2 cord of firewood and chose the "stacked delivery" option, which increased the price from $299 to $339. Everything seemed fine until I received a text the day before delivery, claiming I had selected local pick-up and not delivery, and that I now needed to pay an additional $85 if I wanted my firewood delivered. This was beyond outrageous! I had an email confirmation clearly showing "stacked delivery," with no mention of local pick-up.

I immediately called to clear things up, and the woman who texted me didn’t have a clue what she was talking about. Her response was completely unprofessional, making it obvious she didn’t understand the simplest details of the order, let alone how to do her job. She was rude, uninformed, and her texts were poorly written and full of errors.

Then, to add insult to injury, I got a message from another woman—the one I had originally spoken with when I confirmed my delivery date. She outright lied to cover her tracks, claiming that she was "driving" when I first called and didn’t actually have the order in front of her. This was a blatant lie because she had told me during that first conversation that she did have my order pulled up! I hope this business records their calls, because if they do, they’ll see how badly they are screwing over their customers with lies and deceit.

On top of everything, they had the audacity to blame a "website glitch" for not including the $85 delivery charge in my original order. Are you kidding me?! If there really was a glitch, they should’ve contacted me immediately—not waited three days and then tried to slap me with hidden fees at the last minute. What kind of legitimate business operates like this? It feels like they made up the glitch just to scam customers out of more money.

I had been on their website two months before placing my order and the pricing was exactly the same then—there was no "glitch." The only glitch here is this business trying to pull a fast one on their customers and then lying to cover it up. This company is a disgrace, and they clearly don’t care about integrity or customer service. If I could give zero stars, I would. I’m reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and I strongly suggest anyone reading this stays far away unless you want to be lied to and overcharged. Absolutely disgusting!

They were so responsive and sent over our requested sods THAT day. Speedy, available, responsive and so kind! Found them randomly on google but will consider them for future projects!!

I would like to provide an update on my previous review. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from the business owner after leaving my initial feedback. They showed a genuine interest in understanding the issues I had encountered and shared some insights into why the firewood had a higher moisture content.

I must say that even before the owner's call, I received a prompt refund within 24 hours of returning the firewood. It is evident that the business places a high value on customer satisfaction.

Based on the actions taken to rectify the situation, I feel hopeful that this was an isolated incident. I am willing to give them another chance and hope for a positive experience in the future.

I had genuinely hoped for a successful outcome, but when the firewood delivery finally arrived, I took the time to inspect about a dozen random pieces, and unfortunately, most of them had moisture levels that were at the "green" range, measuring between 21% to 23%. There was just one small piece at 19%, but it was quite disappointing after eagerly waiting for nearly two weeks for properly seasoned wood.

This marks the second time I've placed an order with Denny Wiggers, and regrettably, I've encountered the same issue both times. On the previous occasion, I decided to keep the wood, albeit without a moisture meter, but it proved challenging to ignite and resulted in excessive smoke.

I've seen that some people have had better experiences with Denny Wiggers, which is good to know. I guess I was delivered a "Green" batch of firewood the two times I requested. I paid $254 for a half cord of what was advertised as "seasoned firewood" and a $50 flat fee, totaling $304. As a word of advice to anyone in a similar situation, consider investing in a moisture meter; it can be an invaluable tool to ensure you receive the quality of firewood you're expecting.

Denny Wiggers has transformed my backyard into paradise. He used top grade stones and trees/bushes to create my private sanctuary. He topped it off with accent lighting and installed the sprinkler system. He arrived on time and didn't leave until the job was complete. I 100% recommend his Company.

I love going to this place! I always find beautiful things for my home, decorations for my patio, and the wood here is amazing.

Never use Denny Wiggers for anything. Last October his driver broke out in ground basketball hoop when delivering wood. For months he promised to fix it. Calls after calls. 2 months ago he said he picked up the broken hoop and said he would repair it. Today I walked out of the garage to find the broken hoop back in my driveway along with a pile of wood.

Denny is very professional and pleasant. His workers are excellent. I’m very pleased with the professionalism and level of customer service.

I get my firewood from Denny Wiggers. Prices and service are great. They have good trees and plants, and the staff is super nice and helpful. Firewood is always top-notch.

Their landscaping is awesome too. Highly recommend them for gardening, landscaping, and firewood.

As a professional in the Landscaping business for over 30 years, I’ve had the pleasure of either referring Denny or collaborating with him on various projects. He and his crew are a creative force of nature. I have personally found his Garden Center to be a great source of both standard and unusual landscape trees, shrubs, bedding plants as well as cemetary seasonal flowers and silk arrangements. I also find his staff very accommodating in delivery of top soil, mulch and above all his complete selection of wood for both indoor and outdoor wood burning stoves and ovens. The Wiggers team is truly a full service operation that gets it done. I recommend visiting the garden center to get the creative juices going.

I first had some problems with communicating for my delivery, but When it came I met the owner, and we chatted and had a real nice conversation.

I am sometimes a little abrasive, and if things don't always go smooth, I over react.

I initially received some longer lengths of firewood that wouldnt fit in my wood stove and Denny quickly resolved my issues returning to my house swapping out the larger pieces. I highly recommend this company and will use them for future firewood needs.
