Do yourself a favor and do not use Mark at Sherwood . I spent over $40,000 with Mark do a landscaping project consisting of sod , regrading, sprinklers and planting of some trees. To start Mark was very polite and professional, When He found out I was getting other estimates he showed up at my house unannounced and demanded his rendering back with a very nasty attitude. I should have known at that point not to use him, but he claimed he was having a bad day and I gave him another chance. Every aspect of the project had problems. It was December when the project was finished and I had some concerns with the plantings and the sprinkler system he installed , but he said he would come in the spring and take care of any issues. His main focus was on getting paid and wanted a large deposit up front and progress payments so he could financially be ahead of the customer in the event that he was thrown off the job. Mark called me on a Mon to say the project would be complete some time that week. On wed afternoon he calls to say they will be done today and he needed a check, Told him I would not be home till later and also my check book was at my office and could not pay him till a day later . Well I get home from work that night and Mark is sitting in my driveway. He basically threatens me and is yelling profanities outside my house thinking he can intimidate me into paying him then. I did pay him the following day. Fast forward till spring and I called him to take care of the many issues as the sprinkler was not working, 90% of the trees he planted were dead, the ground on which he planted the sod was extremely lumpy and had sunk where he installed the sprinklers, multiple issues with the sprinkler not working, weeds coming up all over the sod and planting beds he created and large pooling of water sitting on the sod that he was supposed to grade. He would not answer my calls and proceeded to curse me out via text. Finally after a month he came out and took care of some of the issues but refused to correct all of the issues. His main forman informed me that he would be leaving the Co because of the way Mark did business and how he also had intimidated an older woman making her cry.I am in the process of getting all the issues resolved and will being seeing Mark in a court of law. Bottom line stay away from this co as the principle is mentally unstable and if things don't go his way or he doesn't like your complaints based on his improper work he will go off on you.

Sherwood just completed a large project at my house. We had an idea in our heads of what we thought we wanted and Austin and his crew made it come to life. From hardscaping, dock lighting, and nautical fencing, we couldn’t be happier, it looks amazing!

The Sherwood landscaping is a family business and therefore their customer service was excellent. They fully designed, took down our wooden deck and built a very good size paver patio, a beautiful outdoor kitchen, walkway along our swimming pool and a fire pit in two weeks after supplies arrival. They helped me design and select the pavers based on my desire and their expertise. Lots of catalogues and various selections. They coordinated all scheduling with the plumber and electrician that I had to hire. The crew was always on time 8:30-4:30 with one hour lunch break. They were very professional and responsive. Because of high supply prices these days, the entire job was expensive but worth every dollar. I highly recommend them. You will be very pleased with the outcome!

Austin and Sherwood Landscaping designed a beautiful backyard escape at our home. Great design skills. Listened to our thoughts and input and happy to accommodate our budget. Finished project was exactly what was promised. Cannot wait to use them again.

I reached out to the company in the beginning of August and had somebody come out and look at the front of my house to remodel the landscaping and do some work for me. They told me I would hear back within a week with a 3-D blueprint of what they wanted to do, it has been almost 2 months and I haven’t heard anything back. I’ve called the company multiple times and left multiple messages and I haven’t gotten anywhere. I’m really disappointed. I really wanted to use them for the work I wanted to get done on my front lawn and I feel like I’ve been completely ghosted.

In the past we haven’t had much luck with contractors. Always found them cutting corners or giving us grief threatening to cost us more $$$ than expected. Not Sherwood Landscaping!! Always! Very reasonable negotiations and their work ethic was unprecedented. From initial measurements to the final project clean up, the guys never complained once or cut corners. I personally wanted to be around during construction in case issues popped up and they flexed to make that work without a problem. Guess what, no issues ever popped up to my knowledge. True professionals and masters at their craft. I hired Sherwood for lighting and Hardscaping (new steps and walkway). This was no small task - over an acre is now beautifully lit with the perfect ambiance. They have truly extended our hours of outdoor enjoyment. The steps and walkway are very custom. Mark, the owner was the creator - he was well prepared with multiple ideas and remained collaborative and open to what we wanted. He managed all the details for his very large crew of hard working men and remained responsive throughout the entirety of the job. I highly recommend their work.

I took off work for Austin to come give us a quote. He was very friendly and had some great ideas. However, I never received the quote. I called and texted Austin (no answer, no response) and called the office and was promised the quote the following week. Nothing. Incredibly unprofessional.

We are very satisfied with Sherwood’s professionalism and craftsmanship. Mark was able to apply our hardscape requirements to a blueprint design for visualization, assist with product and style choices, work within budget, define a clear scope of work within the contract, set a schedule, and execute. Since this project took place during winter months, understandably the completion was slightly prolonged due to rain, snow, and freezes temperatures. Sherwood always showed up first thing in the morning, even on Saturdays. They kept a cadence of communication throughout the project to address any questions and discuss progress. We are pleased with the final product as our expectations have been exceeded. We are looking forward to doing business with Sherwood again!

We were undecided whether we wanted to install a deck or a paver patio on the back of our home. In came Austin to the rescue. He initially listened to our wants and desires. He then drafted up a computer design of a dream paver patio which we could not resist. Just a few weeks later, we are now enjoying every aspect of our beautiful patio! We have fallen in love with our home again and now enjoy spending most free moments in our backyard. Through every step Austin and his team were friendly, respectful, responsive, and professional. The quality of their work is unremarkable! We were so impressed and are beyond content with meticulous work of Austin, his brother Devon and the Sherwood team. I can not begin to tell you what a pleasure it was working with this group. Extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I have worked with many top landscape design companies in this area and Sherwood is amazing!! I requested estimates from many "landscape designers" and they were the most competitive. After I explained what I wanted, they made my vision happen! It wasn't just the pricing but the feeling of trust and reliability. They texted every day to keep me abreast of the schedule. Our project was a labor intensive job and each employee that was here was courteous, respectful and a pleasure to get to know. I had changes along the way and they graciously said "no problem" with a smile. Permits were needed and they handled, filed and followed thru with all the request needed from the township. Wow…where do I begin? I LOVE THIS COMPANY. Sherwood Landscaping, a very nice family business, transformed our backyard from a place we rarely frequented to a garden paradise. An oasis.

Extremely professional from the initial meeting, Austin met with us and gave us a digitized proposal that made our backyard look like a vacation resort. On paper it seemed too nice. I was slightly skeptical. But then you look at the final result, and we are still blown away.

They did everything. First, they completely demolished a very dated pavers backyard patio and replaced it with classy travertine stone that surrounded our pool. They also added an amazing pavilion and added an 8 speaker sound system. My only regret is that we didn’t get it done earlier in the year, so we could enjoy more of it before the winter.

In addition, the new landscaping trees and shrubs, including new sod and lighting, really made the critical difference.

This was a huge project and the crew spent many weeks on our property. The entire staff couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive. Admittedly, I’m pretty particular. Yet Austin and his crew were very accommodating to all my nit-picky requests. If a stone had a chip I noticed after they left for the day, they had no issues replacing it the next.

We also had the company repave our driveway. They did an excellent job. Their service is top notch!! We intend to use them for EVERYTHING landscaping-related going forward. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SERVICE AND QUALITY!!!

Could not be any happier the way our patio/ fire pit turned out. The crew was very professional, polite and efficient. There will be a delay for your project to get started, but it will be well worth wait. Communication was outstanding from the beginning to the end and every message left for Austin, was answered by days end. I would definitely use Sherwood for any future projects and highly recommend them!

Austin at Sherwood was so great to work with. My wife and I recently bought our house and the outside needed a major overhaul. We explained what we were looking to do, and split the project up into phases. Austin kept in constant communication and made sure we liked the progress every step of the way. Phase 1 was the outdoor patio and it’s perfect. We’ll be kicking off phase 2 this spring and can’t wait to see what Sherwood does. Highly recommend!
