I had an electrical problem that needed a miracle. Mike McDonald a family owned business for 6 decades. This man has honesty, integrity and he is a man of his word. Mike answered immediately and came to my rescue, Mike solved the problem I was having with my circuit breaker. Thank you Mike. I recommend McDonald Electric for all your electrical needs.

Mike at McDonald Electric was personable, professional and prompt when I called upon him to troubleshoot my rentals fan and light fixture. He explained everything well and presented the best possible and safe solutions with in my budget. Will call on him again if needed

Mike did an excellent job. He arrived on time and installed my Tesla wall charger within 60 minutes. The service was fast, professional, and high quality. I wouldn’t recommend anyone other than McDonald Electric.

Excellent service and absolute professional! We had a bad circuit that turned out to be tied to a previously unknown GFCI. He quickly diagnosed the issue and did not charge us for the time. 10/10 would recommend and McDonald Electric will be our first call if we need any future services.

Excellent service! Mike saved the day with our built-in microwave that went out last night. I called him first thing this morning and he came by quick. Turns out, the microwave was plugged into an outlet that had become a fire hazard. It had melted. Mike quickly replaced it and I didn’t even have to buy a new microwave. It’s the busiest time of year in our kitchen with our family. I was shocked by how fast he was to get over here and the cost was 100% reasonable. That’s rare nowadays! I have saved his number and will be sure he is the first call I make if I need him again. Thank you Mike!!!!

Mike is absolutely fantastic. My tenant was having intermittent power outages. He was able to effectively diagnose the problem while also educating my tenant on the limitations of GFI outlets. He kept me apprised of what he discovered, the course of action to resolve the problem and he also provided photos and video of the electrical panel that needed replacement. While there he discovered that the over head light in the kitchen was no longer working. If you are looking for an expert electrician who is skilled and efficient, Mike, is your guy! An absolute pleasure to work with.

I had a great experience with McDonald Electric. My dryer installation ended up needing a fix I didn’t even know about, but he took care of everything and made it simple and stress-free. He was honest, professional, and very fair with his price. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

Mr McDonald was professional, timely, honest and thorough. He responded quickly to my initial message and squeezed me in right away for an appointment. Nice sense of humor and gracious about my pets. He checked everything out, asked a lot of questions and assessed the problem. He had it fixed in no time at a reasonable cost.

We had one dead outlet and one intermittent one-- you could sometimes see the right voltage on it, and other times, it would read far below what's necessary. Mike fixed both and was prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly, making quick work of the repairs at a very reasonable price. He even upgraded some breakers on our panel that were a bit off, all while answering all of our curiosity questions, haha. He was ready to come by the same day I'd called, but also worked with me to schedule a time when that didn't work out. Highly recommend to all!

He was here within a day of my initial inquiry, kindly looked everything over, and didn't recommend anything that we didn't need. We’ve worked with Mike twice now. Both times were stellar. We had him come in for a panel upgrade a couple years ago and now we needed a 240V installation.

We really appreciated Mike’s concern for our unexpected electrical problem at our home, which happened on a holiday, of course! He responded promptly to my message and showed up on time, with regular communication throughout regarding arrival time. He worked diligently to identify the problem, and did not even charge us for diagnostic work due to the complexity of the issue which was not immediately identifiable. He advised us regarding a practical solution that was undoubtedly more efficient and affordable than what a larger chain company would have offered. After the previous electrician I had scheduled failed to show a second time, I called McDonald Electric. It was a holiday, but Mike said he would swing by that day (!) to take a look and see what was going on. I was thinking I would need a bunch of rewiring and was thinking I would spend about $10K, but he checked out my electrical panel and saw what a mess it was. He made a few changes, but said he would be back the next day to finish the work. He quoted me a price that was a quarter of what I expected to pay, so needless to say I was relieved and happy about that! He came back the next day, finished the work he said he would do and my electrical problems have been solved! He probably could have told me I needed to do a bunch of rewiring, but he stressed he just does what needs to be done in order to get the job done, no more, no less. Mike seems like an honest, straightforward, hard working guy. I was surprised at how he came the same day I called, came the next day as he promised, and did the work to fix my problem exactly as he said he would, and didn’t do more than what was required to get the job done. You can’t ask for more than excellent service like that!. I would highly recommend Mike and McDonald Electric, and if I ever need anything in the future he will be the only guy I call.

Finding an electrician you can truly trust is a relief, and McDonald Electric is exactly that. As a small, local business, they bring a level of care and honesty that’s hard to find these days. They were professional, transparent with their pricing, and treated my home with genuine respect.

Update: Mr McDonald came and fixed everything! He was quick with the time the electric was off. He went into the feral cats home and fixed things there. I even have functioning outlets that I didn’t know existed! Bonus!!! Such a nice man! So very pleased with his work! Thank you!!!

I would highly recommend. For right now I only gave Mr McDonald 4 stars because we have yet to do the work needed. I expect it to go to 5! That said Mike is super friendly and knowledgeable. He explained all the work that needs to be done and why it needed done. He listened as I explained the issues I’ve had over 30+ yrs! I am on a fixed income and he is willing to work with me. While he was diagnosing the problem he actually “fixed” it. Due to a fear of fire, I will be requesting the repairs soon.
