After our water bill skyrocketed, we searched for a leak and could not find one. Our landscaper and friends all recommended American Leak Detection. They came out immediately and on time, The first time they found a leak and repaired it the next day. The second time we suspected a leak, Kenneth came out the same day. He explained it was too small to find and did not charge us. He told us to watch our meter and what to look for but also to watch our water bill and they will come back immediately to repair it if we need to have that done.

I appreciate how systematically they look and how well they explain things! American Leak Detection earned my highest recommendation.

This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of working with Kenneth from American leak detection. In both instances can feel very knowledgeable and was spot on with his initial assumptions after a quick assessment. Both instances were very different and unique at separate properties. One was a landscape irrigation issue and the other was a water well issue. I would highly recommend Kenneth to anyone! He was a very professional knowledgeable and honest. Not to mention his personality and humor were great! Kenneth definitely should be considered for a promotion and/or raise in my opinion

Martin at AMERICAN LEAK DETECTOR did an Amazing job in finding our leak quickly & efficiently today & was highly knowledgeable about his profession. I had many questions about the job & he was able to answer ALL of them Easily. I've been really stressed out about the leak we had, but Martin made finding it a breeze & he was very polite, professional & prompt in responding to our urgent need to find out where it was. I appreciate the up front way he dealt with me & I never felt like I was being given the run around, esp for being a woman. That was an added bonus. My dogs even liked him! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for an honest company to deal with in the future. They're who I'll be calling next time too! 😊

Kenneth was thorough at explaining the process and what it would determine. He covered all areas of concern and answered all my questions even though I am not sure on some of the technical aspects but was very patient with me.. he made sure I was able to understand... Kenneth is very kind personable and has great great customer service skills.. highly recommend their services.

I had a great experience with Devin! He came out right on time, and was super friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly found the source of the water leak and explained everything clearly. The customer service from start to finish was excellent—very professional and easy to work with. I really appreciated how efficient and respectful he was throughout the whole process. If you ever need leak detection services, Devin is the one to call!

Worst customer service EVER! What a bunch of incompetent employees! Not only did they not find the leak inside my house, but they didn't even use any equipment or logical thought process to pinpoint the problem except at the meter site. I was told the leak in my bathroom was in the tub drain even though the tub is never even used. I ended up diagnosing the issue myself: the a/c coils were leaking in the garage and water was seeping through the floor/wall. Then the invoice they sent was full of typos and even more typos in the supposed corrected version. Most disgusting and frustrating use of $435 in my life!

Got the plumbers headed in the right direction per their request. Nothing against the plumbing crew running on previous plumbers input as to source location. We called the ball after an hour of digging with not source coming into view.

I sure hope your services are better than your lack of driving skills on I-25. Last night one of your box trucks was driving south without any taillights from at least Santa Fe into ABQ. Please do better in the highway!

So much for "non-invasive"...(holes in photo cut by tech from this company ended up being un-related to the source of our leak)

It took two techs across two visits on two different days to identify the leak in our house. The first tech (Devin) ended up being just a plumber, not a leak specialist, by his own description. This was only mentioned after holes had been cut in our wall which was described as necessary. After the fact, the necessity was mentioned as being that he hadn't brought equipment needed for non-invasive approaches. Despite the holes, the leak was not identified and A LOT more water was in our wall and under our floor than when he arrived. I called the office and described the poor results and got absolutely no sympathy or offer of credit to the cost of service or assistance to offset the damage. The second tech (David) on the second day found the leak in 30 minutes -- it was under the dishwasher, not in the wall. Restoration is now more expensive due to the invasive methods used which we hoped to avoid by using this "non-invasive" service.

I recognize others have had a good experience. That's why I requested service from this company. We would have too if we had David in the first place. But we paid full price for half the quality of anticipated service requiring me to take extra time off work, the leak to persist and additional day, and restoration costs to be higher for more extensive repairs. IF you decide you want to use these guys anyway, be sure you know the qualification of the person that comes to your property before they start their work.

David was professional, understood the goal of the project and did a great job with the unique scope of work we were attempting to accomplish.

I want to thank Martin and Ken for locating our leak. Not easy to find, it was about 3 feet deep, a main water line copper pipe that had a micro hole in it that was obviously created by a saw or tool that nicked the pipe. Someone had jerry-rigged a fix by wrapping it with a bicycle tire tube! Crazy! I hired a crew and they fixed it right. Thanks much for solving the problem. Happy holidays!
