Hoping someone from Big Apple monitors this - waiting for inspector to come for 9:00 appt, it’s past that now with no updates. Tried calling company’s main line with no success. I’ve gotten series of automated texts leading up to today confirming the appt, so they have my correct phone # at least. Maybe the team is tied up in traffic? Any help would be appreciated Big Apple!

these guys are thorough and professional. they came to our house assessed and diagnosed the problem. within a day they began the remediation process. the team is awesome and very nice. Additionally they were super clean they taped up each of the rooms very professionally in order to prevent cross contamination and keep the house clean once finished. They ensured that test results came back negative until completing the job. Further they were super kind throughout the process. I strongly recommend!

I highly recommend Big Apple Mold for both their free visual inspection and potential paid follow-up services they provide, like air or surface swabs (make sure to do surface swabs if possible, they're more reliable)

David, the owner, came to my apartment, bringing an infrared scanner to help detect and show the moisture information around the roof leak and consequent hole in my ceiling from the water damage. He explained what he saw and how it looked like black mold. I approved continuing with a surface swab of the area, and it turned out to be Stachybotrys, a toxic black mold, which helped a lot with my Board, that had refused my requests time and again to test for mold.

This confirmed evidence pushed and required the Board to remediate the mold, per the new NY State laws for mold issues and how remediation must legally occur. Annabel, who runs the office, was super helpful over several phone calls and emails, some on the weekend, and her and David even did a conference phone call with me to discuss options in follow-up of the remediation. I was doubtful of the air test results my Board did, and David checked out the numbers and because of the low spore count, suggesting it was probably best not to pay Big Apple Mold do more tests, rather to take a wait-and-see approach.

I feel this was a great sign of a business owner looking out for the best interests of the customer, rather than grabbing small profits wherever possible, as we often see in NYC. Based on the experience, I highly recommend Big Apple Mold.

Big apple mold removal is a fantastic company to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone with a mold problem in the tri-state area. I called Big Apple Mold Services to come out and inspect my apartment, because my mother had started coughing up blood 4 months ago and the doctors told her that it was not cancer, but a lung disease, which could be caused by mold! My grandmother who lived with my mother up until recently was also recently diagnosed with COPD another lung disease and she never smoked a day in her life! Although my mother lives in a luxury building which should not have these types of issues, I took the chance and scheduled an appointment to see if mold was playing a role in their health.

1) This is the only company that came out and did a FREE assessment of the damage (versus other companies charged an average of $400)
2) Their quote was very reasonable for the scope of the work involved
3) They backed their work up through the entire process with a fixed price approach (if there was still above normal moisture levels upon their inspection they would continue to work for free until the job is right)

Excellent prompt service! Next day service! Even though they were delayed to the appointment I received two phone calls to tell me they were late and profusely apologizing......they were only running 10 mins late on a December grid lock alert day in Manhattan,LOL. When was the last time a serviceman did that! David came explianed everything he was going to do before starting any work. He happily answered any questions I had about the tests he was conducting. He did not rush and took me though each step and made sure that I understood what he was doing. So refreshing to deal with such a professional trained, licensed no nonsense company! I called David and team to inspect my apartment and conduct a test for mold I had in the bathroom.
David examined the mold, explained the situation with information and insights on the causes, and then provided different options and his recommendation. He then went above and beyond and inspected for any water/humidity issues, other signs of mold, and discovered wet area due to a previous leak in the basement, and we took a video so I could show the issue to the building management.

The whole process was very pleasant; David was very informative and thoroughly explained all the issues patiently. I felt well informed and in full control in deciding what option would work best; Nothing was pushed and in fact the opposite. I strongly recommend them and would use them again in the future for any mold issues!

David and the Big Apple team have amazing service. He came for what I thought might be a remediation service that I could no longer handle as a DIY project. Called Big Apple Mold Removal around midnight for an emergency in a high class store in Manhattan. I was expecting to hear its to late or first thing in the morning, i was shocked when David told me they would be getting up gathering a crew and heading out,,,,,WOW! They arrived within the hour, i started receiving pictures upon his arrival, they used about 300 bags to store items, ripped up damaged floors and walls, set up blowers and humidifiers and got the job done with quality!
