Ahmad and his crew did a great job renovating our backyard, completely transforming it from an unusable piece of land to something we look forward to spending a lot of time on. Everything was done according to specs. The crew worked very hard in the sweltering heat of July and their attention to details was evidenced. We would definitely hire them again for any future masonry works.

Ahmad solved my bad rain leak and I could not be more grateful. I had a really bad leak every time it rained, which these days in NY is worse and worse. Three different contractors said it was an upstairs neighbor's balcony but even after that was repaired by someone else, the leak was still there. Ahmad examined everything and found the most likely water entry point that no one else had suggested. He was very straightforward, gave a few different recommendations and ultimately repaired and pointed the brick facade and lintel for a reasonable cost as well. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience working with Smart General Contracting this spring. We had several different needs for our brick home exterior (waterproofing, repointing, new stucco installed, lintel replacement, new gutters installed etc) and all the work was performed to our expectations and the finished result looks great. The teams were thorough and friendly and paid attention to detail, and the owner was very responsive and accommodating to our input and we felt that he really cared about doing a good job for his clients. We will definitely use Smart General again in the future and very much appreciated the partnership throughout the project.

I contracted General Contracting Corp to clear a Sidewalk Violation on my property in Brooklyn, NY.

I met with Ahmad, who was very prompt. He walked through the sidewalk with the Violation diagram.

He told me that he can cure the violation and also fix other issues that were not part of the violation such as the tree pit and the curb.

After we did some negotiations, we settled on replacing 2/3 of the sidewalk to both cure the violation, which was caused by the tree in front of the house, and to incline the sidewalk towards the drain to prevent pooling of rain water.

True to his word, after I gave a down payment, the sidewalk permit was pulled and the work was done.

I paid the full amount.

That was in March 2024.

The Dept. of Transportation, Sidewalk Department finally contacted me via a letter asking if I have fixed my sidewalk.

After I responded yes, they initiated an Inspection. this was done just a few weeks ago in November, 2024.

I just got the Sidewalk Violation dismissal!

We hired Smart General Contracting for a big job. There were supply chain issues and our custom order took longer and prices for materials went up. However, he stuck to the agreed upon price and did a beautiful job. He’s a man of his word and he will stick to it even when it comes to his profit. He was very receptive, knowledgeable and professional. It’s been a year later and we needed a repair. Even though it wasn’t his fault, he came down right away and fixed it for free. For the quality work and peace of mind knowing that I was dealing with a honest man, I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

We had a cement driveway that needed partial replacement. Ahmad was prompt, responsive and very professional.His team was on time and did a great job in a short time. His price was very reasonable. Smart General Contracting was excellent. They came out on site to give me a quote the same day, pulled all the necessary permits shortly thereafter and I had a brand new sidewalk in about a week. The process was easy and the job was reasonably-priced.

I called Ahmad and several other contractors on a Thursday morning after a failed DIY patio project that I needed salvaged ASAP. Ahmad showed up an hour later and gave me a fair estimate. He emailed me a formal proposal that night outlining the scope of the job. Then he came with 5 guys at 8 am Friday morning to start the job. By Saturday at 5pm my yard was *completely transformed!* It was unbelievable. His guys were very professional and did beautiful work. Ahmad was also very generous when the scope of the job changed slightly. I am so grateful to him and his crew. A dream team!

Ahmed and his team were phenomenal. I couldn't have asked for a better contractor. Not only did Ahmed accommodate a neighbor (who had issues with work being done on the weekend), but he promptly came back to finish the demolition the next working day. The work took a total of two days with Valentino and Juan working until 6:30 pm each day. Both Juan and Valentino were polite, considerate, and highly professional. The work speaks for itself. Several neighbors stopped by to complement the men on a job well done. One neighbor works in the industry and told us that the job was wonderfully done and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Ahmed and his team to perform your next concrete and masonry work. And, they made sure to clean up after themselves, which was a huge bonus.

We needed some masonry work done on an older garage under a porch. After getting three quotes, Ahmad came back with the best price. Also assisted with a partial cleanout of the garage. His guy, Mario, did a great job working with the cement to seal the garage. Cleanout was quick and efficient. Place was left clean and orderly. Would recommend and use Smart again.

Extremely happy with the results. Hired Ahmad to do extensive masonry work to repair cracking brick edging, 2 stair cases and close an air conditioner hole.

They were very precise, and the new work blends perfectly with the old. On top of that the price was very reasonable and much lower than other quotes. I will not hesitate to hire them again for my next concrete/masonry job.

Ahmad contacted me less than 5 minutes after I requested he call me. I explained.that due to a leak, I needed a portion of my chimney re-pointed. He listened to me and scheduled an inspection and estimate for me. I agreed to the price of the estimate, and within a week his workers were at my house and doing the repair which took about 2 1/2 hours. Throughout the process, they were professional, efficient and cleaned up after the job. I am very happy and satisfied with the job they did and will use them for other jobs in the future. I highly recommend them and it is a pleasure to give them a five star review.....
