I am new to the area (Greenpoint) and I had a last minute alteration I needed for a bridesmaid dress. After some research, I found Sammy’s, I’m so glad I did! Alicia and Harold were friendly and took me right away. I was able to get my dress within a week and the changes look great. I highly recommend and will definitely go back for future alterations or dry cleaning.

I took two very expensive bridesmaid dresses to be altered and so happy that I found Sammy's and feel at ease that I have them for the future. One dress had a very aggressive alteration and he did an impeccable job. Extremely friendly and reasonably priced. Looking forward to going back!

I had to press my shirts for an early flight. I called Sammy’s in Greenpoint and they were 5 minutes from closing but were so kind about helping out. They worked until 8:30pm (1.5 hours after original closing time) to help me out. They were so helpful and looked out for me. 10/10 experience.

Always know I can get what I need to get done with my clothes here. I am super short so always need alterations and things being taken in!

One time I had bleach stained an expensive top. I took it in to see they could do anything to help with some other clothes I took in to alter - and they kindly drastically improved the stain on the house!

Fine cleaners for lower quality items/minor tailoring but do not bring in your expensive clothing for dry cleaning. Destroyed my Aritzia wool coat (which I've had dry cleaned elsewhere before with no issues) and refused to take accountability for the issue. Told me that this is usually how wool coats look after they dry clean them, which is concerning. Refused to provide reimbursement. To add to that, customer service is rude.

I love Sammy’s Cleaners! They’re my go to in the neighborhood—I trust them with my best garments (gowns, coats, etc) and can count on them when I need a quick turn around. Harold is so detail oriented and I trust his opinion on fit. Alicia and Steven at the front are always so great and nice, and genuinely care that I get what I need in time for any event. This is the best dry cleaners on Greenpoint. The service is impeccable. The tailoring service is excellent and fast. The prices are reasonable and they even deliver. I would not trust my clothes with any other cleaner

I got a couple of pants dry cleaned and a skirt & shirt tailored there for the first time. Both turned out great and for very reasonable prices. Friendly and professional establishment which is a plus! Will definitely be returning 🙂

I'm a regular here, and can always trust Sammy Dry Cleaning to do a thorough job! Alicia particularly is so welcoming and kind – she's got a great memory, and always makes me feel like my items are looked after and cared for. It makes a difference to feel like you're supporting small business neighbors and friends, rather than an anonymous service. Fast turnaround times, reasonable prices, and they also do basic alterations as well. They also do leather and hats...!

I have only gone to this place a couple of times for tailoring, but they do a great job. My most recent time there was a little hiccup with my invoice (the system messed up the quote), but they honored the original price, and the tailor did wonderful work. Definitely recommend.

Do not recommend this dry cleaner - heavily overpriced for simple alterations. $150 to get an inch taken off a dress for a wedding and $55 for a new zipper. Much cheaper options elsewhere

Avoid!!!! plenty of other options in the area!!!! Especially if you are a girl - place is a huge ripoff! They will highball with random prices.

I went to get my dress tailored for a wedding where I was a bridesmaid. I went in and they gave an extremely high price for hemming almost 200$ and then pushed me to pay cash to lower the price. After paying that extremely high price for only hemming, I wore the dress and there was still pins at the bottom and the dress was not hemmed...Imagine walking down aisle at an outdoor wedding with an unhemmed dress. I brought it back to the shop, tried it on, and they recognized that only the FRONT was hemmed. The side and back was still dragging on the floor. Instead of offering to finish the job that I paid a lot for or simply offering a refund. They tried to charge me another $100 to “fix” it. Stating it was my fault for not recognizing it earlier. They also tried to say that the pins were references but not needed for hemming, and still stood by that when realizing the dress needed further hemming work. Will not be returning for any future tailoring and will take dry cleaning elsewhere. Will follow up with BBB as well.
