Electrical reviews in Buffalo, New York

I had an emergency situation involving the light fixtures exploding in the middle of a party. I called this company and asked if they had electricians available for a late-night service. They were very understanding of my situation and sent in a team to repair the electrical issue. Thanks to this contractor, the party was able to continue until the wee hours of the morning!

I have never seen a bigger group of hacks. They had 2 non union guys running around doing what ever they pleased. No chain on the scissor lift. No hard hat or safety glasses. One drill for a crew of 5 guys

For the last 10 years my company has worked with Deltex. They are highly responsive and go above and beyond to assist in finding solutions to any of our concerns! Highly recommend.

I have a home warranty company that apparently contracts with Deltex. The reason for the service call was due to the socket (GFI) in my kitchen keeps tripping at least 3 times a day. The technician came out and checked my socket letting me know that it is getting power, that was the only thing he checked. Well I'm not electrician but if the socket is on already doesn't that mean it's getting power. I asked about checking the wires and/or the main power box to see what else could be going on. The tech told me he could not check anything unless the power was off. Well of course the socket tripped twice before the next morning. I call the company the next morning and the on call rep took the message and no call back. I called again 3 hours later and the on call rep told me that she saw my call logged and was not sure why I didn't get a call back. She came back on the line to tell me that the company said I need to call my home warranty company. No courtesy call back as they have an on call service. I then called my home warranty company and they called Deltex. Deltex then called me stating that there was nothing they could do as the tech said the power was working. I explained what the tech did which was nothing. He proceed to tell me that he was at his son's baseball game. I also told he that noone had the common courtesy to call me back after the first call. He asked what did I want him to do. FIX it. He hung up on me. My warranty company called him back twice and he was rude to them and used profanity. DON'T USE THEM. HORRIBLE!!

These folks did good work for us. The electrician, Isaiah, worked very efficiently and resolved the two issues we were having in a little more than an hour. I plan to request his help with two other issues in the coming months.

This is my Wife's account, but I had to move my electric meter boxes from inside my basement to the exterior of my house -- electric company was threatening to turn off my power due to it not being up to code. I called 3 or 4 different companies and nobody answered. Deltex picked up on the first try, Mike came in, handled everything and was done within a couple days. Fantastic service and remarkably low price (I had a personal friend stop by who wasn't licensed in the city of Buffalo and he told me his estimate would have been $2,000 more than what Mike charged me). I will definitely be using them in the future.
Thanks again Mike.

I have a home warranty that provides me with repair service. They assigned me to Deltex and advised me to make contact with them. I did, over and over... on the third try, I spoke with a person in charge who complained about the warranty company, said he wasn't contacted by them and proceeded to pass the buck of why there had been no call to me. I simply mentioned that even if the warranty company hadn't contacted them, that I had and my calls were not returned - so strike off one star.
Next, when the work needed was assessed, the warranty company agreed to pay $159 to replace my ceiling fan and the hourly charges to install it, materials charges for outlets and switches and all the repairs and time that Deltex quoted them. The fan that Deltex provided was retail priced at $59, looks cheap and has different lighting capabilities. When the technician called about it the attitude seemed to be that the warranty company didn't give them enough money to di the job properly... but Deltex have the quote - strike 2 and 3
The only bright spot was the technician himself, very professional and personable. So the two stars are really for Mike doing a good job, but I would not prefer to work with this company ever again! I don't recommend. -
I had work done at 2 of my houses ..Mike and Isaiah are wonderful they did amazing work. I called to get a new outlet on my garage..were there is an existing outlet..instead of sending an electrician they sent a project manger/ estimator ..who told me I had to rewire the garage..I asked him to check to see how many amps was getting to garage..he replied I don't carry tools..but some how felt it all needed to be rewired..sent me estimate it was very pricey..so called to say I just want a new outlet..is that something you can do..or should I call someone else...he replied call someone else..wow..so I'm guessing that's what I'll do ..sad because I was referring people to them but now I can't after this.

I can't say enough about Deltex, and more specifically Steve. Steve was able to walk me through my thermostat issues over the phone. He's knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with.
