Gen-Tech installed my Generac 11kwh in 2014, and services the unit every year. They know what they are doing, and they perform their maintenance professionally and diligently. They just finished servicing the generator for this year, and watching them at work I learned a few things myself. I highly recommend Gen-Tech for installation and maintenance services. I give them 5 Stars.

I would recommend this company if you need a generator installed. Amy was fantastic to work with behind the scenes. She provided great updates throughout the process and when it came time to install the generator the crew was fantastic.

I had an amazing experience with Frank, Paul and Amy from Gen-Tech Power. The whole house generator was the best purchase that I could have made for my home. Growing up through the 70s I remember we never lost power at the house (even through the blizzard of ’77). Today, it’s a regular occurrence. I lost power on 7/4, 11/18 (squirrel sabotage), and 12/9 all in 2018. My 22KW Generac generator was installed on 11/10 so I was doing the “happy dance” when we lost power and the backup generator turned on within 5-8 seconds. Gen-Tech Power is a locally owned family business and they deliver an honest and reasonable service. This is their baby and their bread and butter, they stand behind their work. I look forward to maintaining that service and trust with such a professional company.

We had our 11kW system installed late last summer. On time, respectful and clean installation. Total professional installation. There was a factory glitch with the installed equipment and the problem was "resolved immediately". We've had several grid power outages since last summer, the system works wonderful and flawlessly. 100% satisfaction.

My 18 year old generator had a issue. Mike the tech handled the issue very thoroughly. He checked the entire system for proper operation. Really appreciate the quick service and reasonable cost.

This company installed a Generic standby generator with all electrical and connection work done by them. They took time at initial sale to explain the timely installation, were very courteous. Everything was well thought out, work was clean and workers left everything spotless. We consider ourselves to be very fortunate to have hired this company. Installation exceeded our expectation.

The receptionist, Kayla, was very nice. However, any time I hear “we don’t do any work in the city of Buffalo” it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. They said it was because it’s “hard to get permits”, but none of the other companies I spoke with seemed to have that issue.

With all the people who died in the city of Buffalo last year during power outages and snow storms, you would think people who are willing to pay for a back up generator should be able to get one, especially when the company is located in Cheektowaga, a town that directly boarders the city of buffalo and is no more than a 5 minute drive.

I’m sure this company does good work…if you live in the right town or have the right demographic.

Just had a generator installed and don't have one negative thing to say therefore the 5 stars. The install crew was great, friendly knowledgeable and did a very nice,neat job. Amy in the office very knowledgeable and was on top of everything. I had others in for an assessment and quotes but after meeting with Paul and his knowledge of the generators I was sold on going with gen-tech. Top notch and competitive.

Gen tech was wonderful to deal with. My HVAC contractor recommended them. Amy in the office is so knowledgeable and communicative! I had a full home generator installed today (it should work) and they worked so hard with me because I had to sedate my dog 2 days before and there was a driving ban going on. They did not fail me! They came out, installed and got me set up on my app. The only reason I put a 4 instead of 5 star was cuz there was so much mud tracked in my kitchen and basement stairs but heck, we had a snowstorm! I look forward to doing business with them and also recommending them to my friends for future business. So the end result is I highly recommend their installation. Everyone was so nice and I wanted to make coffee for the guys but they didn’t need any. So far so good! 😀
UPDATE 1/31/24- be advised the Wi-Fi promised link will likely not work for more than 3 days. It is an app you can ck the status of the generator from anywhere. There is a serious issues as most Spectrum and Vz Wi-Fi work off of 5 G technology and the gentech generator works off 2.4 G. The company was very helpful in trying to assist but there is no known solid fix and I could not be a Guinea pig and sedate my dog a 3rd time for a trial and error fix so I cancelled my appt. The response was I could read the manual and try it myself. My response was that once there was a true fix they could come out and repair from the outside to complete the job. Heck it worked properly for 3 days and the guys said I had a real strong Wi-Fi connection, why not 10 days or for good? I will wait until it’s perfected and hope they complete the install outside.
