Great company. Had a huge tree taken down and they were so good at what they do. Very fast and skilled. Really appreciate the work they did.

I have been a loyal client of Mays Tree Service for many years and have consistently been impressed by their professionalism and outstanding work. One notable instance was when I had a massive 7-foot diameter silver maple towering about 170 feet near my house. Clyde came out promptly to assess the tree and identified internal damage from an ant infestation, confirming it posed a serious risk to my home and safety. Despite the tree’s size and proximity to my house, Clyde and his team expertly and efficiently removed it without any issues.
More recently, the team handled a similar situation with another large tree near power lines in the front of my property. They quickly and safely brought it down, cleared all debris, ground the stump, and at the same time, removed trees on the side of my property that were near my neighbors’ houses. I was concerned about potential damage to their properties, and once again, the team completed this work effectively within about an hour.
Throughout all of my experiences with Mays Tree Service, their team has been professional, efficient, and extremely careful to avoid any damage to my property, neighbors’ homes, driveways, or landscaping. They clean up thoroughly after the job and offer thoughtful advice on alternative options when appropriate.
I highly recommend Mays Tree Service to anyone needing expert tree removal or trimming. Their skill, timeliness, and attention to safety make them the go-to company I trust year after year.

The tree in my backyard was very tall, and some large branches extended high over into my neighbor’s property. The tree company did an excellent job—great skills, great equipment, and those guys really knew what they were doing. I’m very impressed with their work!

I had Mays remove a couple of stumps yesterday. I just want to say the whole experience was wonderful. I will use them again in the future.

We can’t say enough good things about May’s Tree Service from Lancaster. Prompt service. We have been using them for about 10 years. Justin and his crew have always been polite and answered any questions we have had, very knowledgeable about every type of tree .
We have had large trees cut down , stump grinding and clean up is immaculate.
We have also used them to prune our trees.
Very satisfied! Prices are reasonable. I have referred them to friends and family members and they were very satisfied with their work and will also be using Mays Tree Service again -
2nd to none! I returned back home from ATL and my mom needed two towering poplar trees felled which were quickly dying in her backyard. Four properties in very close proximity with fencing, pools, and structures surrounded those trees and access was limited. After 23 years of being away from home, I looked up (Clyde) Mays (still going strong) knowing that they would be the ONLY company that I could trust. Charlene worked with me and made it happen to get my mom taken care of straight away. As expected, their work was meticulous and well orchestrated, from beginning to end. Their extremely professional crew was perfectly aligned, and each man knew what he had to do without being told, and they did it safely & RIGHT! I am not easily impressed, especially because of my own past personal experiences with other companies, but from my initial contact, down to the entire clean up, I was amazed at the display of efficiency, integrity, and overall HARD working performance of this company. They didn't stand around and waste time, not something that I see anymore these days. But then again...they are a local, family-owned (3 generation) company, with highly trained operators & ground crew, and they have all the equipment that they need to do the job. Bad Ass!!

Mays to the rescue! Quick response to my call. Professional, polite employees. Worked neatly and efficiently. Took care of my property as if it were their own. I would definitely recommend them.

I am so pleased that I chose Mays Tree Service to remove two large silver maples in my front yard. They did an excellent job navigating the power lines, and busy road I live on to get the job done quickly and well. The price was beyond reasonable and well below all the other tree companies quotes. The communication was top notch. I loved working with Charlene to schedule the job. She was extremely supportive and helpful throughout the process. Clyde, Charlene, Justin, & crew are a great team. This is a well run family business. I would highly recommend Mays Tree Service. As a matter of fact, my mom will be calling them in the spring for some trimming she needs done. Thank you to Mays!

Beautiful layout. Some items are a bit pricey. Person at the register seemed bothered to help find us an item, awkward. Customer service is a bit lacking but you can find just about anything you need here.

Always have a great experience at Adams. The boy who loaded my mulch (Marcus) was extremely courteous. Will be back back next season.
-
I would give 5 stars, but they were sold out of the Midnight Black Mulch, which was my main reason to go there. I still managed to spend over $100. I do love Adams, and they really are a 5 star Garden Center.
-
They pass along their Credit Card fees to the customer now. They added an additional $16 (3.99%) to my total. That's absolutely ridiculous. Most businesses absorb that cost. Not like they are hurting like most small businesses.

We've gotten our Christmas tree from Adams Nursery for the last two years and we absolutely love them! Our tree is still holding on (I'm writing this on January 7th) and I'm still thoroughly enjoying its magic.
-
Beautiful/huge plants and an abundance of them. I went Friday of memorial weekend and they said Saturday everything would be gone. Staff appear very happy and helpful. Wished I would have gotten more flats.
-
Not much staff and the staff that was there did mot know anything about the shrubs or trees. Very strange experience

The woman working in the green house was very helpful and knowledgable. This place charges the customer 3.99% of their total bill if you use a credit card OR debit card!! Are you serious?!! Who goes to a garden center to buy trees, stone, mulch or alot of plants and pays by cash? We won't be back, there are many wonderful nurseries in our area that truly welcome business and are happy to take a debit or credit card with no added expense. buh bye Adams!

Bought 8 Arborvitae bushes and after three months they were turning brown. Called Adams to get some info as to what might cause the problem.
Was told to take pics and send them to their experienced associates and they would contact me.
Still waiting. Poor customer relations. -
Adams has always been one of my favorite nurseries for roses. You're not going to find just rows of Knock-Outs, which I consider a plus. And every season they seem to have some new annual I've never seen before. On average, I'd say they're a little on the pricier side, but definitely worth a look around.

Prices at this nursery have become outrageous. I spent $20 for one coneflower plant only because the picture showed a red flower with what looked like white stripes...a variety I had never seen before. It turned out to be a deceptive picture and what looked like to be white stripes was really the underside of the leaves showing. When I went to return the plant 3 days later...they wouldn't take it back because of covid??? When I told them I didn't have the virus...they said they didn't have a note from my doctor. IT'S A PLANT...HOSE IT OFF!!! if you're worried about the virus. They didn't care about their deceptive labeling.

I HIGHLY recommend that nobody waste their time going here for any of their garden needs. For starters I wasnt allowed to purchase the 2 hanging baskets I wanted because they were "too high" yet I had purchased the same exact kind a few weeks before so I let that go and found others. I go to purchase baskets I settled for and wasnt allowed to even pay with a Visa gift card because the "funds arent gaurenteed" what happens when you purchase a Visa gift card? You purchase it to put the money on it, no different that anybody walking in paying with a bank card or credit card. If theres no money... it doesnt work. After I was rudely talked down to by the cashier I told them they can keep everything I was about to purchase(over 100 in plants) and I'll go else where. This place is a HUGE rip off and JOKE!

Waaaaayyy too over priced a least at the Genesee St location! Esp for the quality of the flowers,& the disinterested teenage costumer service. This was my third time at this place since they've changed it around & Ugh! What a terrible experience! They want $39.99 for hanging baskets that I got later in the day @ Dashs for 2/$28! That's $14 a pc compared to $40 a pc! And I've got so many compliments on them from friends & family already! . No way. My husband's Co workers have complained of their high prices at well. And my Christmas tree was THE WORST I have ever had in all my 55 yrs! The needles were everywhere WHILE we were putting it up! I had to take it down early. $75 for that fiasco. Go elsewhere unless you have money to burn & don't mind the rude help.
