Good Plumbers, responsible and responsive
Worst place you can go to for your plumbing needs!! I bought a house in Glen Cove in May of 2014 it's been almost a year and I'm still dealing with these company's collective incompetence. Most of the guys when they come out are in a rush to leave, so they're work is a hot mess after they leave. I own a 2 family house and i had problems with 3 huge leaks from both of the bathrooms upstairs down to the 1st floor, and another one from the 1st floor to the basement and this is in a newly rebuilt house!! The 1st leak was in the master bathroom; the reason for it was that they left the shower head upstairs un-tightened. That's the kind of crappy job they do. The second leak was from the second bathroom in the 1st floor to the basement because they forgot to connect the drainage correctly. The last leak happened about 2 weeks ago (almost a year later) from the 2nd bathroom upstairs to my home office and that was another crapy drainage installation!! Needless to say I'm never going to give this group of incompetents my business.
Needed to have a small job done quickly so did not price around. Have used them in the past several times and they always were fair. They told me the rate is $250 an hour. Someone came to look at the job and when I asked him Ballpark about how much this would be never got back to me. But I needed the job done relatively quickly so I went ahead. Ended up paying about $900 for 10 to 15 feet of copper pipe and I believe six fittings. Seems excessive. Also did include a handle valve. They did a nice job which is why overall I gave three stars.
I hired Atlas Plumbing to fix a water main in my house. Anthony, owner of the company, came with one of his plumbers to inspect the job. It’s pretty rare these days for the actual owner of the company to come out and do an assessment. Usually I experience the scenario where the worker has to call and describe the problem to the boss and the boss makes a guess over the phone. They took time to access the whole situation and the work started immediately. They had all of the necessary parts and tools ready. The two of them were quite smiley all the way through, and thankfully there weren’t smiles that hid any thoughts of “we are really going to get this guy with the bill!”. The work was done for a very reasonable price, which I found out after talking to friends about the job. I haven’t had great things to say about plumbers in the past, but now I DO!
Anthony and team were fantastic! Very customer oriented and handled our project on time and on budget. We will use Atlas Plumbing and Heating for all HVAC and plumbing needs for our home.
We had an nasty emergency basement flood and Anthony and his team were able to be at our place in less than an hour to save the day. They appropiately diagnosed the issues, offered us a solution and executed promptly. Customer service also was impreccable. I cannot stress enough on how much this matters. I called several other Plumbing companies with the highest reveiews on google before reaching Atlas Plumbing. None of them reacted the way i wanted especially because my basement was actively flooding. Anthony made me feel like he cared. I could'nt receommend Atlas anymore.
