First impression of Design & Build….SOLD!!!!
Lance, owner of Design & Build saw exactly the vision I had- to completely excavate and renovate our entire backyard to make it like it belongs on a magazine cover. This entire project exceedingly went over & beyond my expectations! He and his amazing crew changed our dreary backyard into a DREAMY backyard!! The day Lance came by to give us the estimate, His words exactly were “we will make this into a backyard oasis!” I was SOLD! And boy, They did not disappoint! I have to say, we have never seen such a harder working crew. They all work in synchronization. They worked non-stop, and everything, including demo was by hand! It was unbelievable, we were definitely impressed! It took several weeks to complete our project (well, I kept adding on more and more ideas) LOL! ;)
They became part of the family to us. Even my 13 year old son looked forward to see Hector, the main foreman and the crew every day & my son was actually saddened when the work was complete since he wouldn’t see them anymore.
Our scope of work: created a huge fireplace surrounded by an outdoor kitchen and benches, an island to seat 10 people, a duel cascading waterfall into the pool, all complete with stone. Natural stone pavers to the entire backyard and a drain well. The landscaping with Lance’s brother, Robert, did complete lighting and sprinkler system. I’m picky with what I like and feel that I need to know exactly what will be installed, but I have to say, I held my “OCD” at bay and allowed Robert to pick out some pretty ornate specimens, trees, bushes and the perfect arrangement of flowers and it’s absolutely stunning! Then we added stone to the house to create a more cozy and elegant feel. Did I mention with my OCD, I would often message Lance with questions or concerns and he would always get back to me..even after work hours or weekends. I mean, Who does that?!?! Lance is a man of his word..and is always calm and cool..a “no worries” type of business owner. We could not be any more grateful and thankful for our new stay-cation! We will enjoy it for years to come.

My front yard was very plain and unattractive. Lance and his team from Design and Build created the curb appeal I was missing. Thanks to this business I have a beautiful flower garden with rocks, trees and a wide variety of annuals. The update has all my neighbors complimenting how great the house looks. When I drive up to my house it makes me so happy to see the professional design blossoming right before my eyes. I recommend this business to all my family and friends. The work was done quickly and ever small changes I wanted were no big deal and they showed up on time and were responsible and respectful.

After doing some research and receiving several excellent recommendations and reviews I booked an appointment with Design & Build. They were highly recommended to me from friends and family so I knew I was going to be in good hands. But once I spoke with Lance it was night and day VS my conversations with other companies. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful in seeing my vision come to life! He even assured me that anything I didn’t like once completed could be changed at NO additional cost! No other companies offered me that! Throughout the whole process (and even after) he has made himself easily reachable and worked with MY schedule!

But the best part of all was really the top of the line work! I can’t tell you how happy I am with the beautiful, beautiful, beautiful job Lance and his team did. My homes exterior has tripled in value! It was everything I expected and MORE!

Wow - a contractor that shows up when he promises, gives a good price, does a phenomenal job, all with a courteous work crew! Lance helped us design the stoop and walkway we wanted, that fit in with the aesthetic of the front of our house. And his crew finished earlier than expected with minimal disruption to our landscape plants. We love the finished product and plan to use Design and Build for other projects.

Lance was amazing in working out the details of our design. His price was reasonable. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and he kept to his timeline. I absolutely recommend Design & Build and look forward to our next project.

I was so amazed with Lance and his entire team at Design & Build. Lance designed and built an outdoor kitchen that should be on the cover of home and garden. I was so impressed with every aspect of everything that Lance did. He's an incredible, respectful, and professional business man. If you're doing any type of work to your home, you will do yourself a disservice if you don't have Design and Build do the work. I had gotten four estimates - he wasn't the lowest price nor the highest, but he was the only one that I knew from my first contact with him, that he knew his stuff! And he did!! Being in the construction industry and having OCD, my husband and I were not the easiest of clients however, Lance always showed up to change or fix something that my husband or I did not like.

Lance was always very cordial and calm. He was not looking for the next payment - and I felt that I could trust him to deliver what he said.

I love our stoop, driveway and back yard! I cannot wait for the summer to finally enjoy what Lance designed for us!

I contracted Design and Build Landscape to beautify my front yard and that is exactly what they accomplished. Lance provided his vision (including recommending I remove a brick border which no other landscaper recommended) and provided graphical renderings on how the front yard would look and the type of plants he would use. It was done to spec with some minor alterations which enhanced the front yard even more. The crew (more like an army) used to complete the re-design and plantings were very efficient and professional in completing the project. They are quite busy so you will need to be flexible with their scheduling. Overall, I highly recommend Lance and the Design and Build Lanscape team.

So happy we found Design and Build. The outside of our house was destroyed by Super Storm Sandy. Lance and his crew did an absolutely beautiful job! He answered all questions every step of the way. He stuck by everything he said and everything he quoted. We needed a new stoop, walkway, landscaping, sod he also added lighting. Lance not only designed a whole new look for outside but promised it would look better than the pictures he gave us-he delivered! We can't stop looking at our home and people keep giving us compliments. The guys are all meticulous in their specialty and they left the outside immaculate every day. I would recommend Lance, Design and Build, classy all the way!

Was extremely happy and impressed with the work and design done of our driveway, walkway, porch and total rip out and redesign of our gardens in front of our home. We were expecting a replacement of our original driveway and walkway but Lance ask if he could do a bit of a different design. We agreed and couldn’t be happier. We love the new look of our home. Lance and the entire Design and Build team were amazing from day 1. From the excellent and stress free initial meeting to go over wants and requirements, to the numerous additional design meetings. Lance brought over a wonderful large design sketch that took up most of my kitchen table and explained piece by piece to me and my wife. He worked with us around our budget and time frame. Once the project started the team was clean and professional, always cleaning up after a days work like they never were there. Once we started seeing the progress and level of details we wanted Design and Build to continue, so we added not just the front landscape design but also the entire backyard and patio. We are more than happy with our entire project and get compliments all the time on all the work that was done. Next summer i will definitely be calling Lance back to build a built in fire-pit with seating and lighting.

Lance and his team did a fantastic job with our yard. He had a great vision and turned our yard into a great space to both relax and host. He handled both the patio and all landscaping and was a pleasure to work with. Would definitely recommend him and wouldn't hesitate to use his company again.

Lance and his team are excellent. Everything came out beautiful. This is the second summer in a row where we chose Design and Build to re-imagine our front and back yard. I would highly recommend this company to anybody needing any type of exterior work to their landscape.

We have used Lance (Design&Build) for two major projects now in our yard. He meets each job with the utmost level of professionalism and attention to detail. His workers are polite and meticulous. From inground sprinklers to landscape design and lighting to pavers, he has always gone above and beyond. We have referred Lance to many personal friends and they’re equally as pleased with their projects. He and his team are reliable and punctual. Definitely plan on using Lance and his crew again for the backyard. Very professional and does amazing work. They called when they said they would call, came when they said they would and took time to explain anything i needed help with. I bought my house over 8 years ago and Design and Build may of been the best company i have dealt with for a home improvement job. After they finished it was the first time that I was truly proud to walk in my house, felt it looked like we were entering foreclosure prior to their work. Once again I would like to thank Lance and his team for all they did to improve the look of my house tremendously and will be calling you again in the future.
