Do not use this company! Got an estimate, booked me for 3 months in future. After waiting 3 months, they call morning of to confirm. 3 hours later they call and cancel. My husband took off from work and naturally wasn’t happy. He asked what they were going to do to make it right. He was told John would call back to discuss and reschedule. John never called. We called 5x...on hold forever...said they couldn’t find our paperwork! Finally I was told John refused the job! They don’t stand by their estimate and have poor customer service!
Perfect cut is a well run family business. John the owner gives all the price quotes in person and is very competitive. His sister Maryanne has tremendous customer service skills and they both do what they commit to. I’ve had 2 recent experiences and their crews are top shelf. I was very pleased with the results. Ive used perfect cut twice this year and I have to say I was highly impressed by their level of professionalism and courtesy to their customers. John is friendly and presents real facts and suggestions that fit your situation and your budget. Their crews are on time, fast working, and get the job done. The office staff answered all my questions when I called, and Tony always shows up to make sure you are satisfied with the job. Dont sign a deal with any tree company before having them take a look. You won't regret it.
Professional, efficient, prompt, competent, experienced, friendly, caring and courageous beyond the call of duty. That is the entire team at Perfect Cut. From John, the owners’ detailed and meticulous estimate, to Patrick the head Forman, and Michael who delivered wood a few weeks later in a sparkling logging truck...the service and care went beyond the call of duty. Patrick and his team were fearless. The moment they arrived, which was the exact time promised, Patrick shook my hand and introduced himself. He did not just observe and supervise his men. He worked as hard as his men. A few weeks later, Michael came to our home and made sure the large amount of wood we requested was placed in a perfect place, as to make it easy and convenient for my husband to split. Both Patrick and Michael took great pride in the jobs they did and had glowing compliments for the company they both are very proud to work for. Thank you John for being a businessman with a crew of men that love what they do and exemplify fine customer service. We have already recommended you to many friends and neighbors. Beyond disappointed. They arrived before 11 AM when scheduled for 3 PM, had to rearrange my day to stay on-site while the work was done. They started with cutting down a live unmarked tree (only dead trees were to come down & I had orange spray paint on them.) I was standing in the yard for the half hour it took to set up the equipment in case there were any questions--when I heard the chainsaw start I walked around the truck to see the chainsaw sunk into the trunk of our favorite flowering tree--covered in seed pods from the recent flowering. Accidents happen, and while we were upset about the tree, how they handled it was the real issue. The foreman immediately chipped the tree----he didn't call the office and ask management to come handle the problem--only I did. Perfect Cut strung me along for months saying they filed an insurance claim for our tree but they never did and continually dodged our calls, wouldn't tell me who the insurer was when I asked--in case the insurer had been waiting for my reply when I hadn't heard from them after months. The damage was done in November, took until March to finally find the info to put in the insurance claim myself. Only after contacting Rockland County's Consumer Protection office did I find out who the insurer was, and when I contacted the insurer, they had no claim for our tree yet. I started the claim and Perfect Cut eventually admitted they cut the wrong tree and we were reimbursed for damages--but not without tons of stress and many months of hassle. But they sure did cash my check for the job.
Surprised to see a sub 4 rating on this service. I used them in 2023 to remove a huge tree in my yard. They were great. Removed the tree, took care of some additional work. Honored a price from 12 months prior. Great service.
