Just had Tim do some various projects recently. He definitely lives up to his high star reviews and was extremely courteous has well as fair. Something you dont find a lot of nowadays with people in his line of work. If I was staying in Rochester I would definitely work with him again.

Tim is a very good worker. He was a pleasure to deal with always on time, professional, very neat. Tim goes over and beyond to make everything perfect and very reliable. We will use his services very soon in the near future!!! Christopher & Linda Gangemi

I called Tim frantically to have my gutters cleaned before the snow and he was here within the week! He did a thorough job cleaning gutters and downspouts, along with giving me some helpful tips about mold control for my roof. While he was here, I showed him a few jobs I anticipate for Spring and he is ready and able to tackle them all. You also couldn't ask for a nicer, more professional guy for your odd jobs! If I could give him six stars here, I would!

I should have listened to the other recent reviews before wasting my time. Tim came over to do an estimate and it all started off really well. He was on time and seemed really kind and professional. He told me that he writes up his estimates on Sundays and that I should expect to hear from him then.

Sunday comes and goes so I email him. He apologizes, says that he will write up the estimate immediately. He sent me the estimate and a few weeks later I contact him saying that I am ready to be put onto his schedule. Unfortunately this is where the problems started.

I never heard back from Tim so I tried contacting him. He wasn't replying to emails, he wasn't responding to text messages, he doesn't answer his phone, and his voicemail inbox is always full (which apparently from reading other reviews has been the case for several years).

Over a week later he finally responds and says he's unable to do certain work, so I followed up with another email for some clarification and re-iterated that I would still like to do the work outlined in the estimate which he sent me.

That was a month ago and I haven't heard back from him since. The level of unprofessionalism and complete lack of communication is astounding. I'm baffled how anyone in the service industry could treat their clients this way.

We needed some repairs done in our home. Tim the Handyman reviews were good so I used the online form to schedule an estimate. We had to wait for a bit for him to come to do the estimate. He came Monday, 6/1 to do the estimate. Told my husband that he wrote up the estimates on Sunday evenings and would email it to us on 6/8. We never received it. It took multiple emails and phone calls for him to respond to tell me that he had our email address incorrect and sometime the week of Jun 15 the estimate arrived. It was reasonable and we agreed to it. He indicated that he was booking out a bit and the earliest the work could be done was July 28. We agreed to the date. On July 27 he called my husband to indicate that he had to cancel the work as his daughter may have been exposed to Covid and needed a Covid test and if she was positive then he would need a covid test and that he was very sorry and would contact us as soon as he could give us an update about rescheduling the work. That was the last day we heard from him. It is now September 15. He has not responded to our emails or phone calls. I would like to think that he didn't use Covid as an excuse to get out of our job as it was only about day's worth of work but I have no way of knowing. Incredibly irresponsible and unprofessional..

I hate to add to the negative reviews, but my experience was the same as the other 1 star reviews. Tim was very friendly and seemed ready to get to work. We needed our pantry renovated and it sounded like that would be no problem for him. He took measurements and told us that he would get back to us with an estimate in about a week. I was okay with that. But the estimate never happened. He emailed me back once apologizing and letting me know that he hadn't forgotten about the job, so I allowed more time. Never heard back after that. Last email I got from Tim was in March. None of my emails after that were returned. I was honestly worried something bad might have happened, because he didn't seem like the type to disappear like that.

It's really too bad, because he was very likable and appeared to be qualified for the job. My family and I were very excited for him to do the work.

Tim did a great job installing electrical fixtures. He was very careful to hang them exactly as I wanted, cleaned up the area after the work was done and even carried the old fixtures to the basement for me. He is friendly and considerate and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.

We were thrilled with Tim - not just his excellent work, but his amazingly positive and friendly attitude. My wife and I couldn't be happier. He got back to me quickly, provided an estimate promptly, re-arranged his schedule to meet a tight deadline for this phase of our project, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. We'll definitely be calling him again!

Tim completed a one day carpentry job at my house. He was recommended by a trusted neighbor and he quoted me a fair price. Tim exceeded my expectations and had done a wonderful job trimming my back porch. He arrived at the specific time that he stated, conferred with me during the work, was very customer friendly, completed the work as quoted, and his workmanship was awesome. Tim the Handyman....great person, great price, excellent craftsman! The final bill was the quoted price and cleaned the workspace better than he found it! Thanks Tim for an awesome job. I highly recommend Tim for work around your house. I will use him in the future at my home!

The struggle I find most often with contractors is being able to rely on them, with Tim he has been at my house exactly when he said he would be and he has done an awesome job with communicating with me on how the progress of the work was going. While Tim was here he was extremely polite, he is one of the most respectful people myself or my family has ever met, he took the time to get to know us and was very friendly. The work he did at our family’s house was the best we’ve ever had done, we finally found a contractor that we can call back and feel 100% confident that the work will get done the right way! I would recommend contacting Tim to anyone that I know, he does amazing work!

Fantastic experience! We needed two interior doors cut after a carpet installation. I called at a midday and received a response by the end of that day. As promised, Tim called two days later with a reasonable quote and a very reasonable repair date. Tim was punctual and completed the work quickly and efficiently. His affable and professional manner has secured any future work we might need.

Tim The Handyman is highly reliable, fair priced and delivers quality work. He is neat and will make you feel like he is working on his own home when you witness his attention to detail. He has done three separate jobs for us over the last 12 months and we couldn't be happier with the results. He extended the life of our fence by replacing broken posts and TOTALLY REMOVING the old ones which some contractors would not bother doing. Our front entry doors were restored and the cost to replace them would have been $2K because of the half round tops on the storm and entry door. The cut / beveled glass stands out now that the door looks like new (see attached photo). A few weeks ago Tim skim coated the walls and ceiling in our back hallway and prepped the trim around a new door for painting. I really appreciate the way Tim manages his schedule. If he cannot do the work he will tell you instead of trying to hack away at it. Tim starts on the day he promises and insists on customer satisfaction. If you can find a better run handyman business I'd like to know what planet it's on.

After scheduling a appointment over 2 weeks ago, today is the day.. Oh wait! Another no-call no-show... No communication, no show, on his scheduling. Another review that speaks volumes!

It's baffling how hard it is to get someone to show up to a job. Tim got so many good reviews for being reliable, so I tried to schedule something. First I emailed, but got a reply back that all estimates had to be scheduled through the website. I did so, then emailed a photo of what needed to be done as instructed. Got an answer back right away that said he would swing by that day to take a look (it was an outside job, so I didn't need to be there for that) and he would contact me soon. Then nothing. I emailed back a week later checking in to see if he had been there and if he was interested in the job. No reply. Now the appointment I had made on his website has also come and gone. I have been ignored or ghosted by so many people with handyman or repair businesses. It's extremely frustrating. I have a huge list of small jobs that need to be done around my house, and I'd give a lot of work to someone who showed up and did a good job, but I can't get anyone to show up for even one thing.

So, I have now read the prior 1 star reviews, and our experience was pretty much the same. We found Tim via a Google search, and my husband booked an appointment for an estimate to have a kitchen ceiling repaired and a cabinet base replaced. We had to wait 2 weeks for that appointment, which was on a Monday. We were told at the appointment that he writes up his estimates on Sundays and that we'd hear then, which meant we had to wait another week to find out the cost. We received an email late Saturday night, saw it Sunday morning. He apologized that he's now booked up solid and recommended another handyman by name, not giving us the actual contact information. Nor did he give us an estimate, so I have no idea what this may cost. We just wasted 3 weeks. Why are you agreeing to give an estimate when you're potentially booked up?! I feel that he looks at jobs and then decides if its worth his time. He knew the work involved, we explained it on the phone. He may be good, I don't know. I just know he's not worried about wasting your time, which is a theme amongst the various reviews.
