I recently needed to have my new boiler serviced because it was making a noise that concerned me. I chose not to contact the original installer, I wasn't fully satisfied with the quality of the initial work.
After researching several highly rated companies in my area and reviewing customer feedbacks, one particular review about Serve-Well Plumbing & Heating Inc. stood out and gave me confidence to reach out.
Once they completed the service that was required, I felt reassured that I had made the right choice and only wish I had known about them before installing my current boiler.

I trusted my gut, and my gut was absolutely right—Tom was my guy.

I woke up to my boiler behaving… oddly. The water wasn’t staying in it, and I had to manually fill it three times in one hour, which was my first red flag. The last time I went to refill it, I decided to just sit there and watch. Sure enough, water was quietly pooling out of the back and disappearing straight into my concrete floor. No dramatic flood, just a sneaky escape. I shut it off immediately.

My boiler is over 30 years old and had officially run its course. This time, it was irreparable.

I called three places, but once Tom came out, I knew instantly—no fluff, no small talk, just straight to business. Professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Within a few hours, I had a fair, reasonable quote. We settled on a Williamson GS125 BTU gas steam boiler with an autofeed. Yes—an autofeed 😂 I was officially entering the 21st century.

My old boiler was basically a pet. It required constant attention and manual refilling multiple times a day, and let me tell you, I had developed a deep disdain for that relationship.

Tom came out early Tuesday morning, and by that afternoon, I had ambient heat again. You don’t realize how much being cold changes everything until you’re cold. Suddenly, nothing else matters—you just want to be warm. Heat restores perspective.

And the best part? I didn’t have to go downstairs once to fill the new boiler. I did go down several times to admire my new baby, though—and proudly FaceTimed my family to show off the beautiful workmanship. I was genuinely proud of it.

As a woman, I’m always on high alert to not be taken advantage of, especially with major home repairs. Knowing businesses like this still exist gives me pause to be grateful. As long as Tom is in business, he has my business.

If I could give more stars I would. Awesome service! We came home on one of the coldest days of the decade - real feel hovering in single digits - to a house without a working boiler. It was Saturday. It was after 5pm. We were frantic. I found Well-Serve Plumbing and Heating thru a quick Google search “emergency plumbers near me.” I called and got Tom, who was already on an emergency job elsewhere. I explained our situation and he said he could be here in a couple of hours. He was. It took minutes to diagnose the problem, and an hour or so to fix it. Whatever parts he needed he had on his truck. He was cheerful, courteous, and knew his stuff. He didn’t try to find ways to expand the job and didn’t overcharge for the work he did. He stayed until we could all tell the heat was coming up. He texted me the next day to check that there were no further issues. I will never call another plumber. Tom (don’t even know his last name), is awesome. He’s my plumber for life.

I had a great experience with Serve-Well Plumbing & Heating, I called in because my boiler wasn’t working, The response was immediate, Tom showed up and informed me of the problems I was having with my boiler, my only option was replacing the boiler after 20 years of service. Tom was able to quote me a great price for the service and was able to replace my boiler 2 days later. Tom arrived early in the morning and completed the job with great timing. professional and quality work was done. I experienced a gas leak that caused the utility company to turn off my gas service in the house one week before the holidays. The service I received was timely, professional and fairly priced. I shopped three licensed plumbers. Serve-well gave me an honest written estimate and explained all possible options. All new gas lines, boiler upgrades and meter bar installed. All work was performed as agreed on the schedule given. All building permits, inspections and labor were taken care of right the first time. Thank you Tom for your service.

The Serve-well guys are outstanding. Appointments are easy to book, they are prompt and professional, the work itself is perfect. Serve-well kept my house clean while on the job and they are very fair with their pricing. I’ve gone through many other companies, but, Serve-Well will be the only ones servicing me from now on.

Excellent service from start to finish. One phone call to Tom and he was on it right away. He is always on time, was very helpful, and made sure our boiler issue was fully fixed and everything was working properly before leaving. He also fixed the vents of our water heater and boiler.

Terrible experience with this home services company. They push expensive systems and hefty annual contracts upfront, but when you book well in advance, they fail to show. No explanation, no apology - just a simple reschedule. This level of customer disregard is unacceptable.

I've had a terrible experience with this company, and I'm at a loss for words about how unimpressive it was. They dropped the ball every time we needed them - scheduling appointments was a joke, and when they finally showed up, the work was subpar to say the least. It's clear that this operation is run by individuals who don't care about delivering quality service or keeping promises. Avoid them at all costs; I wouldn't trust them with even the simplest of tasks.

This company has a keen attention to detail and provides top-notch service. We're loving the efficient Bosch heat pump and premium diffusers, which have significantly improved our home's comfort level. The upgrade hasn't increased our energy bills - a rare win! Rameez and his team are highly recommended.

Had an initial appointment for AC repair, booked for 6pm. Left work early in anticipation, but the technicians never arrived or made a call to reschedule. The lack of communication and professionalism is appalling. I wouldn't trust this company with my business, and I would strongly advise others to avoid them.
