Kurt did a fantastic job replacing and -making a century-old wooden door that was totally damaged due to a storm ripping open windows on the 25th floor. Communication with him was amazing and he never over promised. It's been the smoothest experience I've ever had with a NYC contractor.

Ark and his team at AKO are amazing. I definitely highly recommend AKO for any job. They work efficiently, fast, and are extremely professional. This is the second time that I used AKO and the level of service was as expected. Great company to work with!

The beams supporting my second floor deck recently started to split. I called AKO and Ark showed up on time. After a quick inspection, he told me I had nothing to worry about, that the splitting that occurred was naturally causing. He showed the same on several of my neighbors decks. After research on the internet confirmed this I was relieved. Ark could have came in did the job that was necessary and made a payday. Like using a new car mechanic, one is very cynical of being overcharged or having unnecessary work done. I will use AKO in the future based on Ark's honesty.

My experience:
I was so apprehensive and anxious about having to renovate my new home. I just moved in and wasn't sure who would handle everything and how contractors actually work and what was entailed. I prayed it would not be so stressful! Well after checking out a few contractors ...my prayers were answered. I found AKO BUILDERS. and met ARK .. I actually started with him doing just my deck as it was about to fall down. Well after the deck was put in I was so so happy , not only was it done beautifully it was down quick and neat and the cost was the best I found after researching. So after this job I asked him to quote the rest of my home renovations...Ark the owner...got back to me with the estimate with every detail and was very professional. He takes time and an interest in what you need. I felt so SURE that he was the one for the rest of my home improvement s. ...which included 3 bathrooms ..news porcelain tile in kitchen and den. Painting entire ...electric ..plumbing ..new wood floors and bannisters.....I am still in the process of the work...but I felt compelled to write something now...H is number one in my book and I know about renovations as I was married to a carpenter and I know what's entailed to be considered great work.!
Anyway..I will post pics when job is done but I HIGHLY recommend ARK and his company...A ++++++
P.s great people work for him ..his subcontractors are great and to top it off they work neat and fast !

Hands down best deck builders in the island. I am very meticulous when it comes down to details, the 45 degree angle cut is important when dealing with composite deck material, have to be on point when it comes down to building a deck. Ako team are highly skill workers They take pride on the job they perform. Art is very Knowledgeable knows his work and I would definitely recommend Ako Builders to anyone and definitely would used them in the future

Ako did a good job for my deck. He is very responsive, reliable and replied my request quickly. He finished the project in a timely manner. When he said he will finish it in a week, he did it as he said so, not even one day more. He always welcomes questions, and gave me the reasonable price.
