Shady business practices. Warranty fraud.

I paid for a 10 year parts and labor warranty. on installation it was said its a 10 year warranty for parts and labor, free service only a phone call away.

I had service done on my furnace and the tech tells me my warranty is no good. a warranty that i paid extra for and that is good till September 2017! Company wanted to charge me 275 for parts and labor. i refused.

Tech called the boss, boss lowered the price to 150. he said i only have to pay for labor. that the part is covered under the warranty.
the part costs 40 dollars online.

How is a part covered under warranty and the labor is not?

The parts and labor are still under warranty, they pocket 150 since there is no tax on cash but there is a tax on credit.
The company pockets the labor cost, they file for a warranty claim for the part and also labor at their insurance company. they get a return for the labor and parts under warranty.

I only called them because i wanted to use the warranty, i could have done the job by myself. I knew the problem before i called, i got payed for the warranty for a reason. The part was a ignitor, its a plug-in device. But since i called them they demand a 95 dollar service fee. So i just had to pay them. It felt like a robbery. I had no other choice. Since they didn't honor my warranty. The tech said i am not the first. This company has been doing this shady business for years.

Avoid them,Highway robbery business.

will not do business with them again.

This company has to be the biggest sham there is. I have purchased my entire heating and cooling system from them and let me tell you over the years it has given me nothing but constant problems and a whole lot of headache. Thanks to them as of now I am left with no AC in this scorching weather. It took only a year for the AC to stop working after they installed it. when the technician came to my house to supposedly fix the problem, he told me that all the freon was gone because there was a leak in the system, he also told me that the outside condenser unit that I was sold was of very poor quality with a lot of known defects that he didn’t understand why Stan, the business owner, would sell it to me in the first place. He gave me some Freon and of course he didn’t have the slightest idea where the leak was coming from nor did he make any effort to even try to determine it. Well last week the AC stopped working again. As you might have guessed all the Freon was gone along with the coil inside the house leaking water all over the floor. Well I called them up Stan showed up at my house with a young technician, he didn’t even bother to come out of the van to talk to me, he just sent his guy in. He simply gave me more Freon. I went up to Stan to ask him about the leaky coil. It was hard to talk to him at first as he was sleeping when did finally wake up he didn’t even suggest to me that he would replace the coil which is still under warranty he simply tried to sell me another type of coil for $1700 and left. Well of course after two days all the freon is gone again and we are left without a working AC. I contacted a reputable company when the technician showed up after checking the system the one thing that he told me was that the A1 people had no idea what they were doing. Now it’s going to cost me an arm and a leg to get the system up and running again and I have to do all this in the middle of July. Don’t even get me started on the messed up heating system I was given that shakes and rattles when it runs, that’s a whole other discussion. I feel like I have been completely ripped off and taken advantage of! If you don’t wanna be sold inferior products and receive poor craftsmanship in the process stay away from this company.
