Appliance Repair reviews in White Plains, New York

Wayne was very knowledgeable and did a thorough job of analyzing the washing machine issues. We need to review the reults with our landlord but are recommending we proceed with the repair. Wayne explained everything in detail and made us very comfortable that the cost of the repair would pay off in the long term.

Louis came up and did a wonderful job putting in my compressor in my refrigerator. He saved me ffom having to worry about my food because I had an appointment yesterday and Sears canceled it at the last minute. He saw my name on the list this afternoon and took the job because the person that was supposed to come over to do it canceled. Louis deserves a round of applause👏👏👏
It is now five days after my new compressor has been put in the refrigerator. My refrigerator is as hot as an oven! I tried contacting Sears Friday with no luck. They had a technician help me over the telephone. Saturday and Sunday they were closed so you couldn’t even leave a message. Monday I called up, spoke to a woman in the morning who promised me she would have a manager call me. When I called back at 3:30 in the afternoon because no one called me,, I was informed their computer system was down. I have had a partial working refrigerator since March 1, and a no working refrigerator since March 14! What’s wrong with this picture and Sears Service operation? I just got an email stating that they have 24/7 emergency Appliance Repair! Where? Certainly not at my house. I am totally disgusted. -
There is no way to contact a human for customer service. It took more than 1 month to get the required part for my electric dryer and the part that was finally put in was refurbished. The warranty is only for 30 days so if the part fails on day 31, I will have spent $580 dollars for nothing. I will never use this service company again.

I booked an appointment for an urgent leak with my refrigerator 3 weeks in advance. I was able to piece together a temporary solution for the leak during that 3 week period. The window for the appointment was 8 am - 5 pm, which already was inconvenient. The day of the appointment, I was informed that the technician couldn't even make it until after 6 pm, outside of my availability. I called multiple times to escalate the request, and my appointment kept getting pushed back, instead of pulled forward. I was forced to reschedule the appointment, and was told that the next earliest availability was 2 weeks out. I ended up having to cancel the appointment completely and book a brand new appointment with a different company. DO NOT use Sears Home Services for appliance repairs. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Nazim was an excellent technician , called to confirm the appointment, fixed my fridge.
But I don't like sears customer service. No one to answer phone calls . Canceled my appointment 2 times without without calling me. I took off 2 days of work. But no one showed up. -
Technician was courteous. Explained our options and what our repair cost would be. This allowed us to make a decision on whether the repair was worth it.

Technicians were very nice…..each of them for the 6 appointments it took for the machine to be ‘fixed’. The automated system and the ‘estimated time’ were both useless and completely unreliable! I lost substantial work hours waiting and responding to the changing estimations and never once received a simple call of acknowledgement from an administrator. It’s a joke! I have officially had a HORRENDOUS experience working with Sears. The BEST part….the machine still doesn’t work. Guess I’m in for another 6 appointments. Is anyone going to call me now? A joke!
NIGHTMARE! -
Where do I start...
After your tech presented on 6.6.24, I immediately contacted you to advise my dryer was not fixed.
My next appt scheduled for 6.11.24 (today).
After 5 confirmation text messages, and two confirmation calls today, no service tech presented.
I have now missed two days of work and my issue had still not been resolved.
Your rating review request addressed as S. Phillips, clearly not me.
Horrible experience. JUST HORRIBLE! -
I am still in shock over this gross misrepresentation, over charging and in many ways fraudulent contract advertising. Never in all my life have I felt so mistreated and underserved. The monthly payment of $79 is an overpriced TRAP!!! First Encounter On Contract: Our 5 year old Sears Kenmore washing machine was broken. It took 4 months, 3 service techs, 4 separate visits, 2 parts orders and a fees in excess of $600. We could have bought a NEW washer and not have been made to wait 4 months to do laundry in our own house!! Second Encounter: Our Sears Oven ceased to function and the tech who came out said I can't read the model # and there is nothing I can do while I was then charged $200 for a 5 minute NO SERVICE visit! I called numerous times and emailed no less than three times requesting assistance. NO CALL BACKS or EMAIL RESPONSES received over the four months. I notified them immediately after the NO SERVICE visit that I am officially cancelling my contract and they are still charging me $81 per month like animals every month. This home appliance repair service is a disgusting waste of money and I am writing this to let the general public know that it is NOT a reputable or in anyway honorable company. At present they have still not cancelled my contract or even once reached back out to resolve my issues!!! I do NOT recommend their services and want nobody else to have to endure the stress, headaches, overbilling and horrible entrapment via the misleading advertising. I am now aware that there are many other, lower cost better service, home appliance repair services out there. Unfortunately, I will have to take them to court and must suffer paying these criminals for the remainder of the 1 year contract. This has been and continues to be a REAL NIGHTMARE!!! STAY AWAY FROM THESE EXTORTION EXPERTS!

Our technician Anthony was great! He kept in touch about his arrival time, was upfront about the job/costs/timeframe & got the job done in 1 visit!
-
Scott was great and fixed the dryer in record time while sharing some advise so the same issue won’t happen again!

The original technician was out sick. Called another to come a great distance to get us today. Work was completed and machine operating. Tech gave us good advise as to limiting the amount of detergent and size of load to extend the life of the machine

Unfortunately, no repair was done though I was told repair and diagnosis were included in the fee. Also the service person made a fuss about a lack of parking on my block as if this is something I could address. Turns out there were indeed spots half a block away. All in all, it was a poor experience, almost upsetting experience for me and my partner, who spent $140 for a 5 minute diagnosis and no assistance otherwise. I had a lovely conversation with another employee the day before, when we went over the details, checked my notes in the system, and she assured me the fee included diagnosis and repair. I'm never one to complain but this warrants it, unfortunately.

My technician was top of line, he explained every thing was neat and clean during the repair. Left both appliances in perfect working order. I would gladly have him back again for repairs.
-
Took apart entire dryer and got it working perfectly for 15 year old dryer

I hesitate to praise him because I did it almost a month ago for that technician & the same problem appeared again. This technician pulled the fridge completely away from the wall & used a bottle with a syringe & hot water to clear out the ice on the freezer floor. Hopefully I won’t have the same problem again..🙏 unfortunately the next morning the freezer floor was filled with ice.
Had to call again. Robison came & made some adjustments. Hopefully this will work.
Otherwise you’ll get another call from me. -
He diagnosed the issue, then instructed me the procedure to follow when we replace the water filter.

Juan was excellent. He explained everything perfectly and fixed the job. Highly recommended.

I am giving a 4 star rating because it took a month and a half to complete the repair of my refrigerator due to delay in delivery of ordered parts. Took several phone calls and rescheduled appointments however, the repairman (Dexter) from A&E was the nicest man, considerate and repaired my refrigerator efficiently.

The technician, Wayne, was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. He communicated about the process and ensured my reservation was connected to the previous work order so I would not be billed twice. I appreciated his effort to keep the new appointment I scheduled and get the job done. I would give 4 stars if not for the technical difficulties and the excessive (6 weeks) time I had to wait for the repair to be completed. Thank you, Wayne!

Jim and Jose were great. I think $ 470 to troubleshoot and replace $80 in parts is very expensive.
