Prepare to have your dreams crushed! Run away! Fast!

We have a small kitchen that was supposed to be done by mid July before my wife was to give birth to our child. Our Project Manager promised up and down that it would be no problem to get it done on time with weeks to spare. Just in case, we made sure all of the kitchen parts were in on time and ready to go (Sink, Fixtures, tile backsplash, etc).

First, my wife thought she was buying wood cabinets but instead they sent particle board. When we looked at the fine print it did indicate that only the doors would be real wood. Our PM made no mention of this. My wife was heartbroken to the point of tears but everything had been ordered so we sucked it up. Our dream kitchen was now going to be a particle board kitchen.

The contractor started out good enough but then started getting called out on other jobs, leaving us with huge holes in our walls with dust and debris. Days turned into weeks. No one would show up for work and no one would call. We had to arrange our schedules around being home and they would just flake - many days in a row. We'd have to chase after them to find out when someone was coming. So heartbreaking.

My wife was induced a week early and our kitchen still looked like Hiroshima. When we got back from the hospital we were screwed. New baby, dust and debris everywhere. Kitchen and Bath Source doesn't care. They are still pulling our contracter off our project to do other jobs.

Today, I called because the contracter had caused a leak in the ceiling which is destroying our fake wood kitchen. Our PM told us that our contracter may be showing up toward the end of the week to take a look. Now we are responsible for getting a plumber in an emergency situation.

They really don't care. We are distraught. We spent $30,000 and they act like we are annoying them with requests to turn finally finish this thing.

My son will be a month old before the kitchen is complete at this rate. My only recourse is to make sure everyone knows how we've been mistreated.

I can't stress enough that you need to go somewhere else. Whatever they tell you at Kitchen and Bath Source is wrong. They will lie cheat and steal your money and your Kitchen dreams.

Read this before it mysteriously disappears off the the site, again!! I purchased a kitchen from this company 7 years ago and its garbage. Quality of the cabinets is cheap and its falling apart. I asked for wood cabinets and I was sold MDF which is pressed board. Do not let them sell you on the non sense that it is stable and does not warp like wood, it falls apart and its cheap, my cabinets are not holding up. I am moving and I need a new kitchen but would NEVER consider KBS again. Funny how some places look to make as much money as they can instead of building trust and relationships. If KBS did the right thing I would gladly come back but I will not install the garbage they sell in house again, its IKEA quality at 10X the mark up. Oh the warranty is also fake!!

We are so happy with the remodel of our kitchen!! Mariana was an excellent designer and was able to capture our vision for our kitchen remodel. She helped us not only with the design portion but with cabinetry , hardware and appliances selection. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and look forward to enjoy it for many years. ****EDITED**** After speaking with the project manger, KBS agreed to handle the trash situation and a couple of other issues that came up. The kitchen is finally finished and it looks wonderful.

In the process of a kitchen remodel with this place and not happy at all. The quality of the work seems to be ok but they move at a snails pace. I have tenants in my home at the moment and they tell me that the contractor will go a week or more without coming by. Work was completely halted for a week and I did not find out about it until I asked why and they told me they had to add on $4,700 in unforeseen work. I don't really have a problem with the added costs, because I believe them to be legitimate, but the communication is awful. I have asked repeatedly for the days they will be there, what will be completed on which day, and an estimated date of completion and all I get is "We're sorry" and "be patient" Absolutely unacceptable. I was told this would take 6-8 weeks including the time it takes for the cabinets to arrive. I ordered the cabinets on 7/12 and the work has still not been completed.
I was also told I only needed a dumpster for one week but of course that was not the case and now I have a huge pile of garbage that needs to be taken care of which is going to inevitably cost me MORE money to rent another dumpster and hire someone to haul it away. They blame the dumpster service because the service was late arriving to the house but that's not the problem. The problem is that their crew decided to go home and not begin demo AT ALL when the dumpster did not show up on time. They could have began the demo and put the stuff in the dumpster later but ignored my suggestion to do so, and then didn't even show up until 2 days later, wasting precious time. I asked if I needed to extend the dumpster but did not receive a reply until after COB on the day the dumpster was to be removed.
If you have all the time in the world, this place is good. If you want something finished in a timely manner, look elsewhere.

Great company. We went to their showroom to do our outdoor kitchen for our summer home in New Jersey. They showed us the Brown Jordan outside cabinetry line and were immediately impressed. Our delivery arrived on time and was installed by our contractor without any issues. Both KBS and Brown Jordan should be proud of their performance and product. We are looking forward to enjoying our summer with out new outdoor kitchen. Thank you KBS

Working with KBS on my kitchen remodel was a pleasure from start to finish. It was great finding a business that could centralize the project and do the worrying for me, and one which sourced from very high quality businesses (cabinets, countertops.) When we began contemplating this project I found KBS online and scheduled a consultation with Mariana, followed by an on-site visit. Marinana's sense of design and her technical understanding is amazing, and she helped walk us through every step of the design, plan, and purchase process from nuts to bolts. She was extremely patient with us which was very much appreciated. Denise was a fantastic project manager and made sure the whole project kept to schedule. Finally, I can't say enough about Eddie the contractor and his crew of artisans. They simply hit a home run...and the whole thing only took ~ 6 weeks. Fantastic crafsmanship and customization. Great bunch of guys.

This is an incredibly well run, professional business that keeps the customer's best interest in the forefront. Highly recommended.

I was extremely happy with everything from start to finish! Mariana did an amazing design plan and was helpful with all the details! Denise made every effort to make sure to find the counters we wanted and kept us informed of all the steps and billing along the way. Eddie and his team were superb! I really can't say enough! I would highly recommend the entire team!

KBS designed a beautiful new kitchen for my home. Their work from inception to completion was stellar.
Mariana designed and guided me through the entire process and Denise handled the cabinet delivery expertly, even with the delays that came up during construction.

I would give this company zero stars if I could. 10 months and over $30k later, our kitchen still is not complete. There have been issues with the entire job and KBS refuses to take any accountability, instead blaming others every step of the way. Cabinetry is sub par quality with many defects and countertops purchased through their fabricator were cracked. They are the worst possible communicators and I have had to practically beg to get a response. Stay far, far away from this company. I had a better experience with Home Depot for less than half the cost. I have never written a poor review for any company in my life, but this experience has been so horrific that I feel it is my duty to warn potential customers to stay away.

Had a very negative experience with this company. As soon as they took the deposit from us, there was little to no communication. The cabinets were delivered late with many problems (warped doors, poor workmanship, wrong sliders for pocket doors, etc.). We tried to work with KBS to "finish" the project, and they just ignored us. We ended up doing the final touches ourselves, and live with the bad quality (materials and labor).

3 months later (5 weeks longer than the contract said it works take) a vanity was delivered and it's wrong. Either KBS ordered the wrong thing or they didn't check the confirmation from the manufacturer to see that they transposed numbers. And now, I have to wait 4 more weeks to get another vanity.

Ultimately, they made good on the error and the vanity was just installed. Robert, the installer did a great job and I'm very happy with the results.

Do not trust KBS Kitchen and don’t hire them. Poor workmanship and three times the original time frame of completion; and still 40% to go.

Design was smooth, everything else since then has been a total disaster. The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. Don't expect a return phone call or anything truthful to come from these people.

I have a beautiful new kitchen thanks to KBS. They were great to work with from start to finish. Our kitchen is not big, but our designer, Marianna, did a great job translating what I envisioned for the new kitchen and she utilized every inch of available space perfectly. Good communication and Denise, the project coordinator, kept me updated at every step. I highly recommend this very professional design group. They've also got a great showroom with a lot of sample kitchens to look at.
SEPTEMBER 2022 UPDATE: review above is accurate, however, within a year of completion I noticed a defect in one of the cabinet doors. I brought it to the attention of KBS, phone calls back and forth along with pictures. KBS has been unresponsive, uncooperative and unhelpful. To date, the problem has not been resolved and the impression they give when you call is that they really don’t care. I never even heard from the rep from the cabinet company. Poor, repeat, poor business practice after spending a lot of $$$ on my rather small kitchen. Just be aware that once your kitchen is completed and the check has cleared, they don’t want to hear about any problems. My cabinets doors are still a problem. I will not be recommending KBS to anyone.

Our designer who happened to have architectural training left the company mid-job. They never told us and asked him not to so as not to create panic. We had his personal number and this is how we found out. We had a warped door that was a very big part of our job. It was made wrong twice. It needed to finally be custom made by the contractor. The Farrow & Ball cabinet color is off from our sample. The quality is not terrific. It arrived scratched and dented in many spots and needed touch ups. Inserts inside drawers are still not correct. One is short for the size of the drawer. Customer service and communication are not ideal. This was a referral from our contractor. Perhaps they get a piece? I could NOT recommend them.

I couldn’t be happier with Kathleen’s help in designing my mother’s kitchen. She made the entire process so much easier by listening to my ideas and bringing them to life in the most beautiful design. Kathleen was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions and providing numerous samples. Their showroom is vast and truly aids in making decisions for your home. If you’re planning a kitchen remodel, ask for Kathleen, she’s like having an interior decorator without the extra cost!

Not only did they design a fabulous kitchen for me, making my NYC kitchen beautiful and functional, they expedited my order and quickly jumped in to help when my contractor damaged a cabinet months after the kitchen was installed! Warning: Avoid KBS at all costs.

I hired KBS for what was supposed to be a straightforward kitchen renovation. Prior to engaging and giving my initial deposit, they promised an estimated 12-16 weeks of total construction time. We are currently in week 24 with an additional estimated time to complete of 10-12 weeks due to cabinet delivery (which may have further delays). Even after the initial 12 weeks, the project was still in the beginning stages with no clear schedule, accountability, or progress. When questioned about the cabinet delay, they blamed “lack of workers after COVID ” —which is not a valid excuse nearly five years later.

After speaking with multiple other contractors in the area, I learned my experience is not unique. Other clients have kicked KBS out mid-project and switched contractors to salvage the work. I was also told there is an active lawsuit against KBS for unfinished projects. Several contractors confirmed that KBS significantly overcharges, including upcharging for the same cabinets that other suppliers sell at much lower prices.

For comparison, (another local contractor) told me this same project should take 2–3 weeks maximum, and a separate local cabinet company in Westchester confirmed that I’m not the first client who came to them after a failed KBS renovation.

This has been a nightmare for my family —costly, stressful, and completely mismanaged. With all this being known, the Company has not taken any action to help accommodate or offer any resolution. As a consumer, we understand there are delays in projects. But the major issue I have is the continuous false information, lack of care for their customers and treatment they’ve given to us as a family that includes 2 little toddlers that have gone through this whole process and KBS does not care Please take this as a serious warning: do not hire KBS.

Super Happy with our new kitchen cabinetry and remodel

We just finished a full kitchen cabinet remodel and I’m so happy with how everything turned out. The new cabinets came out perfect and my designer Kathleen did a great job designing our space- they’re not only beautiful, but way more functional than what we had before.
The entire team at KBS was attentive and really easy to talk to.
Eddie did a great job overseeing the project. They made sure all the details were done right and made great suggestions along the way. Thank you everyone for all your help. We love it.
