Purchased a new townhouse in 2023. They have been responsive with warranty requests and I am very happy with the location and quality of construction. Would recommend!

We can’t say enough good things about this contractor. They did a beautiful renovation of our home and were extremely professional. Stayed within budget and timeframe. Communication was excellent throughout the entire project.

Concept 8 built a house on the lot next to me. They were very professional and accommodating. Warren (the PM) was always on top of things and when my car got sprayed with some of the house paint they took care of it quickly. Thank you guys!

I have lived in a Concept 8 home for the past 6 years. It has held up well and I really enjoyed the thoughtful layout and the craftsmanship.

We purchased a newly constructed townhouse from Concept 8 back in November. Overall things were fine, but there were some things that definitely needed to be fixed. Our newly installed bathtub was stained yellow from the get-go, the built in bench wasn’t installed properly and is hanging off the wall on one side, evidence of a leak/mold in the master bathroom, our flooring has bumps and inconsistencies all across the first floor, and several other minor issues. We reached out MONTHS ago via email asking to address some of these concerns under our one year warranty; no response. Reached out again via email; no response. Called a few weeks later and were told the email address (provided to us during move in) was not in use and that they were working through a backlog of requests from COVID-19 but would be in contact soon. Flash forward many months and unreturned emails later we still have no idea if or when any of these issues will be fixed. The customer service demonstrated by Concept 8 is LAUGHABLE. Absolutely would not recommend working with this company or purchasing a home that has been built by them.

We just completed building a house with Concept 8 and the experience was great. Even through disruptions related to Covid, the entire team was a pleasure to work with. They are very responsive, communicate well, and above all, do incredible work. Could not be happier, and would absolutely use them again.

These builders built a new home for my neighbor. Concept 8 damaged my property. The team placed the construction fence on my property. The crew took down part of my fence and removed trees without my authorization. Built a side path on my land and tried to cover it up with their surveyor. They also did not permit side stoop and retaining wall during construction. Don't hire these guys they are unprofessional. You don't want to upset your neighbors by hiring them.

Shawn Donovan came to my house for an estimate on extending my kitchen. I told him exactly what I was looking to do, he took some measurements and pictures and stated will have an estimate for me in one week. A week has passed and no call and no email. I reached out and he stated will have an estimate that night or next morning. Two days pass and nothing. I've reached out a couple of times but was told he would call me back... Either not in office or in a meeting. A month has now passed and still nothing. I wouldn't recommend him as he is unreliable and unprofessional.

We had to separate from this business half way through a custom home build because of negligence and mistakes. My sense was they were more focused on their multi-family projects than our custom home and I think they've separated from the person who was responsible for our job. Unfortunately, we suffered as a result and they weren't willing to make it right. I would not recommend working with them if you're trying to build a truly custom home.

That said, if you walk one of their homes and say to yourself "I want one just like this", then you should ignore the above. I suspect they are good at executing homes that fit within their existing wheelhouse.

Every single day I wake up in our new home built by Concept8 a happy Customer. Two years have passed and I’m still pleased with the outcome.

Building a new home from dirt is a daunting task. Shawn and team were outstanding throughout the entire process. When there were challenges, pressures, or complexities— the team always did the right thing.

We have been working with Shawn Donovan and the team at Concept 8 on a major home renovation for last several months. They are responsive, organized, courteous, and creative. We bought a tired, outdated 1960's ranch and they transformed it into a home that has exceeded my expectations. Renovations can be stressful but Concept 8 worked with us to come up with creative design solutions and choices that worked with our budget. The entire experience has been positive and I would highly recommend them!

Concept Eight helped us transform our 120 year old house into our dream home. Shawn’s design ideas for our kitchen, dining and master bath allowed us to maintain the charm of a 1905 Victorian and still meet our needs for today! Visitors always ask who designed our eat-in nook!! We were happy with every aspect of working with Shawn and Concept Eight! Highly recommend!

We used Jason, the owner of Precision Renovations, for several jobs. He fixed some siding, installed a door and then we used him to resand, refinish and repair our hardwood floors. The process took much longer and was poorly done. We decided to just live with it and move on. However, a few months later the floors he repaired started warping in a tent like fashion. We contacted him to help remediate the problem. He never even came by to look at it. We sent him pictures and he said it was due to the humidity of the summer. The truth is he never acclimated the wood before install. After that he completely stopped answering any texts at all. We had also asked him to redo the siding repair he did as it didn’t hold up and started to rot due to a bond he put on it. We were never rude or forceful and truly believed when we hired his company that he would be a person of his word. It is very disappointing that he decided helping us with something he did wrong wasn’t worth the effort. Despite believing he was a person character- he showed he couldn’t be trusted. Besides that his work was suboptimal. Every person we have had out to estimate the job he created has mentioned how poorly done it all was. We would not recommend him.

We couldn’t be happier with the end result of the living room redesign that Jason and his fabulous team did for us! Everybody that he works with is just stellar! The results are even better than I could’ve imagined, and the process was so chill—no stress, just professionalism all around. So pleased, highly recommend!
