I'm so happy I found Carrboro Plumbing! They installed a new dishwasher for me, which involved changing where the water was piped through from the crawlspace. They went above and beyond and also installed a new water shutoff valve in the kitchen, filled a hole that had allowed mice to get in under the dishwasher cabinet, and hauled away the old dishwasher, all at a reasonable price.

I was also really impressed that they proactively communicated in their appointment confirmation email how you could request they wear a mask while working indoors. As someone who still needs to avoid catching covid, I always feel awkward asking workers to mask in my home, and have sometimes had bad experiences when bringing it up, but Carrboro Plumbing was incredibly kind and conscientious about it. Thank you so much for making your service accessible to all!

Great experience! They installed a kitchen sink fixture for us. Showed up right on time in estimated window, completed work quickly, found an issue with previous installation, explained what they were doing and why. Pricing is transparent. Left area clean and organized! Highly recommend.

They are a bit expensive but they do a good job and give good warranty coverage. If they miss something during a visit, they come back and fix it. We are very pleased with their service.

I contacted Carrboro Plumbing for my 80 year old mom. She had a leaking water heater that needed replacing. Was easy to make an appointment, they communicated well and were on time. At first the two men that showed up were very nice, helpful and ready to get the job done. It was a tight fit into a closet in my mom's bathroom. They did inform us they would need to remove some of the door molding to get the water heater in. But they would replace it back the best they could.
The job ended up taking about 6 hours with 4 men eventually. The water heater was installed and works fine. The mess left by the 4 men proved to ruin the good work they did do.
The walls around the closet were left with black finger print marks and scuffs. The floor in her bathroom around the closet was left the same way. The closet door frame was barely put back together. And most parts of the framing was just left off. I cleaned the walls with a Mr Clean sponge,something they could carry, and my 80 year old mom cleaned her own floor before I got there. I repaired the door frame. The door does not close properly any more. This was a $1250 job.
Will not be using Carrboro Plumbing again.

Update:The owners response was inaccurate. The invoice was not reduced. We were told via email the charge was $1250, but if we felt we should only pay $1200 that was fine. I emailed the company about the issues with pictures and never received a response. They never offered to rectify the damage they did. Positive now I would never use them again. Very unprofessional.

Carrboro plumbing sets the standard for excellence. We have used them for all of our plumbing needs for the last 15 years. Everyone who has come to our home has been very professional and highly skilled. We are always confident that the work is done correctly. Based on our experience we highly recommend them to family, friends and neighbors.

The WORST experience I've ever had with a company. Sent a bill for $718 for max 3 hours of work on minor leaks and cleaning drains in a new home. Company WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE of you (we are young college girls). Refuses to send a quote and says it will be materials and time, in our case there was very little materials and time, so under the impression this would be a minor fix and quick stop. Came back two different days and make it sound as if there will be no extra charges due to misplanning on their part. Very rude on the phone for scheduling and never arrived at the time they said. Please find another company that will not scam people, we are not the only ones! DO NOT RECOMMEND.

As you can see the unprofessional behavior from staff and owners. Work should have been a quick maybe 2 hour job, which proves scamming young kids for $700. Work was done and have had no issues as it was minor fixes, however the plumber was on the phone receiving directions how to do something. I am the young girl you took advantage of but you spoke to my mom. Bill was sent to incorrect email address, received bill about a month after service, so end of November during the holidays! Please stay far away from this company.

Carrboro Plumbing is the kind of place that I want to do business with. Capable, honest, friendly and fair. They did the plumbing when we built our home and repairs since. I recommend them.

This past week (Friday the 13th!!) I encountered a rupture in the sewer line leading from my house to OWASA's nearby service trunk. My longtime plumber, a good friend, drove to my house to help me sort out the issue, but he was not prepared or equipped to actually perform the repair. I needed professional help and I needed it fast!

( A few years ago my wife and I completely rebuilt our home which originally dates back to 1954. The plumber that did all the new installation for that project does fine work, but he does not repair anything, he only installs new plumbing.)

My old friend gave me a few names and phone numbers of people he thought might be able to help, but none of them were local.

So I consulted a map to see who if anyone provides pro plumbing repair service near my house. That was how I learned about Carrboro Plumbing, Inc. Their website gave me the impression that these are good people dedicated to providing quality service to the community.

I texted the number listed on the website and heard back immediately from Nancy, the administrative person at the company. Nancy told me they were really swamped with work and wouldn't have time to visit and provide an estimate, but that if I was okay paying for time and materials, they could have a team at my house the following Monday around noon.

And that was exactly what they did! In the meantime I sent photos and discussed the situation with Chris, the owner, so that by the time the guys got to my house on Monday (right on time) they had a pretty good idea of the scope of the repair.

Max Schwartz was the first to arrive. Max is a gentle giant, originally from Palmer, AK, who has spent most of his young life in TN and NC, having served in the US Army. We inspected the damaged area and came up with a repair plan. He was confident and reassuring.

Max was soon joined by Alex, also an impressive young man. The two guys worked their butts off for about 4 hours, dug out the problem area (along with a few stubborn roots), spliced in a new section of PVC pipe, and got the job finished before the rush hour got underway.

I may be a new customer, but I am already a loyal customer. The price was more than fair, and the service couldn't have been better.

Carrboro Plumbing are the absolute best! Always helpful, always professional, always amazing, always solve the problem! I would not go anywhere else for my business plumbing needs or for my home. True professionals at an extremely reasonable cost.

I called to get leaky faucets repaired in a new home purchase. The guy was super slow and then they sent a bill for almost $800! Mind you they also sent it to the wrong email for months and then when I received it I flipped! She said she never knew I was upset about the price because she sent the invoice to the wrong email! Once I saw it I immediately spoke with them about it. So clearly their service as well as admin are not very detailed or good. This is pure taking advantage of people! I have never received a plumbing bill for this much for some leaky faucet repair in my life and I have bought and sold many homes. Just be aware if you call for something minor you may not get a minor bill. My normal bills for this type of service are around $250, not $716! This is almost triple what I normally pay for similar services even in more affluent areas. I highly do NOT recommend!

Super diligent in preparing for our service appointment and fantastic service when they arrived. They solved all of our plumbing issues that had been lingering even after other plumbers had come and tried. Highly recommend.
