I had a roof put on by Consolidated Roofing last month. While I am happy with the roof, the office work and the owner havbev been the worst.

First, our loan paperwork was messed up, and they blamed us and complained that they had to pay a fee with the loan company to get it fixed.

Second. It turned out our house did not have a ridge vent. So the crew on site installed three attic fans. The PM for the job told me as an equal trade they would install the fans, and they would reimburse me the cost of the electrician to hook them when I emailed in the invoice.
The owner did not want to pay that invoice either, insinuating that I was lying by saying he had to confirm that with the guy.. he never called me back to tell me one way or another. I was reimbursed but heard nothing more from the owner.

The in less than a month, one of my skylights is leaking. Of course, it's the old skylight and not their work...no offered to come and look. Thet said the skylights were perfect working order when they installed the roof.
Now, with it leaking, they want 450.00 each to replace the four skylights.

I will not give Consolidated Roofing any more of my money.

I had a terrible experience with the owner of Consolidated Roofing. I called to get an estimate and this guy insulted me during the phone call. He was loud and very, very rude. I told him that I owned rental property and I was calling around to several companies to get estimates on roof repairs. He said normally folks only call 1 or 2 companies. I told him that I had called 4. Does it really matter? I'm a potential customer and expect to be treated with dignity and respect. Needless to say, I called Baker, who has been in business for over 100 years and they were much more pleasant. Obviously, he doesn't need my business.

Everything about our experience with CRS was excellent. From when Van first came out and did the measurements, talked me through the job, answered every one of my questions, to the completion of the project with the project manager Steve, I was thoroughly impressed. Also, unlike other companies, I felt their prices were very fair and I knew the price up front that I would end up paying. Doesn't seem like much to ask, but makes a world of difference in knowing you won't be nickel and dimed! Would recommend them to anyone!

Consolidated Roofing did a wonderful job putting on a top of the line roof that can withstand extremely high winds. His crew was careful to meet all the requirements of the roofing manufacturer thereby providing me the best warranty available.

Probably the worst ever after sales support. They did a great job in installing the roof. The project manager was great and he was at the site the whole time. The cleanup was good. But after the roof was done one skylight started leaking. Good thing that it rained 2 days after the roof was done. When I called the Van senior (owner) he just wouldn't own up to the damage. He was rude and was extremely opposite to when he came to make the sale. My point was you broke it, you fix it. They completely left me hanging. So now after paying ridiculous dollars for the roof, I am shopping for skylight and paying extra couple of thousand dollars. What a shame on their part. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I was very happy with the roof installation. Materials arrived exactly when promised, and the team began work on the very day promised. The job was finished on the day promised. And the team cleaned up after each day. This is a small family run business, that doesn't subcontract the labor. The entire team works together everyday, and the workmanship shows. If you want a high-end roof, don't mess with the other guys. These guys know how to do a high-end roof properly. And they took the time to show me several styles and manufacturers, and gave me references so I could see my shingle options on real homes, and did not have to select from a 3"x3" sample.

I had a very good experience with Consolidated, from the personal and friendly way I was given ample information about my roof and what I needed, to the timely and efficient completion of the job. I felt the prices were fair as well, and the staff knowledgeable. I am keeping them in mind for future building projects as well.

We had a GREAT experience with CRS. The price was fair and the quality of the work was top notch. Our yard was actually cleaner when they left than when they arrived. They also exceeded expectations by finishing in 2 days vs. the 2-2.5 day estimate and they were able to accelerate the timing of the work by a full month. Replacing a roof is a major project and unlike other projects, e.g. painting, not often done by a homeowner. Consolidated Roofing Systems (CRS) addressed all my questions and concerns and did a professional job. A foreman was on site all week to monitor the progress and patiently answered my questions, as well as educate me on the work being performed. The work crew was dedicated and left the homesite very clean. I am having CRS back to install additional gutters. Van Starling is a pleasure to work with and always available to discuss the project, offer options and provide estimates. We recently had our full roof replaced and couldn't be happier with the quality of work and excpetional service we received from start to finish. From the initial proposal it is clear the CRS is a cut above the rest. The crew arrived on time, completed the job within the estimated time frame, and did a fantastic job cleaning up. Van isn't kidding when he says they will leave your yard looking better than it did when they arrived. If you need a new roof, I highly recommend CRS!

I'm very pleased with the replacement of the shingles on my roof. The price was competitive, and CRS scheduled me in quickly within a week of signing the contract. The project manager on the job site was very personable and took plenty of time to explain various aspects of the job, answering my questions very clearly and detailed. The work was completed in 1 1/2 days. And the clean up was outstanding (the following weekend I went around to pick up the remaining trash and I could only fill about an inch of the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket). I looked over the workmanship, and am very pleased. After my own inspection, it confirmed my trust in their work.

Consolidated Roofing Systems is such a company.They got five star reviews in all my searches. I got in touch with Mr. Van Starling II and we talked about all the details. He left nothing out. His estimate was accurate - we actually ended up paying few hundred dollars less, because we didn't have to use as many boards we initially thought.
His crew was amazing! They moved super fast and efficient under the coordination of their project engineer, Mr. Steve Heslin. He constantly gave me information about the stages of their progress and what exactly needed to be done. Mr Van was there too for a good part of the job.
My house is a 1974, 3 bedroom, 1080 sqf. They started at 7:30 am and they were done by 2:30 pm including all the repairs (11 plywood boards) and cleaning!!! That was unbelievable!! The new roof looks amazing, as promised, and my yard looks cleaner then before! The warranty they offer is great: 10 year workmanship and 50 year product for architectural shingles.

I would strongly recommend Consolidated Roofing Systems. Van & team differentiated themselves from the competition with professionalism and attention to detail throughout the process of replacing our roof. Van met with us at our house to explain his bid and answer our questions. He was willing to work with our insurance agency to correct errors in its initial estimate. His responses to our questions and requests were always timely and thorough. We are very happy with our new roof and found minimal nails/waste in our lawn once the team completed its clean up - this is very much appreciated as we have recently found 3 nails in our tires due to the sloppy clean up of other roofing crews in our neighborhood.

Our roof was at the age of needing to be replaced. We called several contractors who provided quotes for us. We decided to hire Consolidated Roofing to replace our roof, and I am glad we did. They pointed out some underlying problems we had and gave us the best option to fix them. They provided pictures and took the time to explain what was going on. CRS did an expert job on our new roof. Before starting, Sterling took us through the whole process explaining why they need to do what they do. The invoice listed everything they will do. They worked us into their busy schedule to meet our schedule. He was very patient with me when I had trouble choosing a color. He was a little more expensive than the other quotes we got but worth every penny. We got a quality roof for an excellent price with a 50 year warranty! Very satisfied.

Van and his team were great to deal with. The communication was great from start to finish (from quoting our roof to finishing our roof). They did a great job cleaning up (I think we have only found 3 nails compared to over 100 at our last house when we had our roof replaced). CRS literally handled everything and it went very smooth! They even provided references in our area so we could look at their work ahead of time! Highly recommended!

Van came out to measure the screen porch roof for the quote and left an information packet with a list of local references. I was impressed with the list of references. None of the other companies offered references so freely. He returned the next day to go over the quote in person. Although their quote was the highest of the three companies (by $50), we received a 10 year labor warranty and a superior liner under the shingles. I really appreciated Van coming out twice and explaining every line of the quote. I was able to hold a sample of the liner they use, which was helpful. Consolidated Roofing also sent out a Project Manager, Steve, who stayed while the roofers worked. I had piece of mind the whole time the roofers were here. They reroofed the screen porch and removed 3 skylights in less than 3 hours. Consolidated Roofing even blew off my driveway when they cleaned up. No one wants to replace a roof, but if it has to be done, Consolidating Roofing is the company to go with.

I couldn't have had a better experience with Consolidated Roofing! They were right on time and didn't waste a second getting the roof done. The workers were polite and personable. When they left you could not tell they had been there, except for the awesome new roof and cleaned out gutters!
