Looking for a short piece of 14AWG wire to ground my inverter. Sold in 500 ft spools only. Attendant checked to see if there were any scraps and found the length I needed. I appreciate that he took extra time and care to help solve my issue. On top of that, he’s quite good-lookin’, pony-tail and all!

Sheldon, Wes, and the rest of the staff are fantastic at what they do, countless generator breaker interlock kits ordered with them. You won’t be disappointed with their service. All of the electrical service companies I’ve worked with use State Electric for a good reason, they are personable and electrical material experts.

I like to give my business to local stores, but my experience at City Electric Supply highlights the downside of doing that. I didn't see the signs stating that all cash sales are final until I went back to return something and they pointed them out to me. It was only a $5 item but nonetheless, bad business practice in my opinion. Strongly recommend that you pay with plastic if you decide to give them your business. I would think they would prefer cash to save on the credit card service fees. Irritating.

I have found electrical supplies here when other places are out of stock. The counter people are really nice and helpful too. I only knocked off a star because their prices are higher than what you pay in some other places in Raleigh/Cary. But, overall, I usually head here first when I need electrical stuff.

Local Choice Electric get most if not all of our supplies from city electric. This location is always friendly helpful and carry almost everything we need. Thanks for being awesome and easy to work with.

We had a challenging electrical project and Lou with Mr Sparky took the time to help us figure out a plan. Their whole team was very easy to work with and we were able to schedule time with them timely which was important. Thank you to Lou and team for your services!

We love Mr Sparkys! Tina and Gale are a pleasure to speak with on the phone and Stephen is our guy. He just installed a transfer switch for us that we can use with the new portable generator we just got. Now if/when the power goes out, we can quickly fire up that generator, plug it into the transfer switch, and have the power we need without running extension cords in the house. Couldn't be happier!

Our experience with Mr. Sparky has been a very good one, from setting up the initial appointment with Gail, our diagnostic visit with Leo and Dale and ultimately, the completion of many services by them in our home .
