Our realtor told me and my wife to checkout Cheyney homes but when we stop by today we were rushed and told to check online. We felt like we were not good enough to take time out to ask questions. I am a veteran and was looking for a new home.

Nice environment with the outside covered seating area. My favorite meal so far is the chicken tender basket with sweet potato fries.

Review is for the HOA (Hawthorne management) Meridale has NOT Mattamy Homes in general. Hawthorne management has two separate agreements for this community, they are slow in responding, the agreement is old from when the first homes were build 10 years ago. Not letting homeowners that have a family have a trampoline and basketball net is absurd, especially since Mattamy has not built the pool and playground area for families that was supposed to be done by summer 2018. Thinking about moving from a community that does not value family life.

My Wife and I bought a new beautiful Townhome, hope find new friends on my new neighborhood, I'm Cuban and she is half mexican cuban, after a couple of months with the offer war, we stopped with Mattamy Homes, the agent Hallie Whelan treat us like a true friend, the process was smooth and clean, we are moving in a couple of weeks, We like it the quality of the buildings but what most motivated us to buy in this neighborhood was the diversity of the neighbors, from what I could see there are many people from India and other places and we liked that.

Jerry very informed. Did great, to the point overview. No long, from the book schpeal. Know if I follow his instructions I'd have a home (the way I want it) in about a year. That's fine. Been looking and bidding on homes (new and old) for 7 months. Moved here after I sold my home in Chicago( sold over ask in 3 days). At least I know I won't be in bidding war ie. After a year of looking for a home we stumbled upon Cheyney. We had the pleasure of working with ROBIN. Who was one of the best agents we have come across after looking at over a dozen communities. From the start she was very welcoming, honest, and willing to go the extra mile. She was not pushy which my fiancé loved and if we had a question she couldn't answer, she always found it for us. She is one of the many reasons we chose this community. The process was fun and when any issues did come up ROBIN and our building manager GERALD were on it. They sent us picture updates every so often along with texting us when something major was completed. Both of then were easy to talk to and made the process fun and easy. I would recommend asking for both of them if possible. Only issue that we ran into was the lady at the design center did seem to rush us and leave out options or not explain all of them. When i asked her if we could do a number of things she replied NO, we don't offer that in you community. Then I would visit a house in our community that had it, Which at that point its to late to change anything. Other then that we couldn't have asked for a better looking home. We are very thankful for the team that helped us. Especially ROBIN & GERALD. Along with all the finance team who were also a huge help and explained everything we needed as first time home owners. Thank you Jane & Sharon. Would highly recommend this community along with this team to help you through your process.
