The ReNEW Renovations team did an AWESOME job on our bathroom remodel! Jordan was great to work with. He is communicative, clear, and really great at explaining the remodel process. This was our first time doing a renovation project so we weren't sure what to expect. Jordan communicated well throughout the entire process and we are so happy with how our new bathroom came out! We look forward to working with him again on future projects.

The team at Renew Renovations is simply spectacular! They have transformed my house in such a way that I get home sick being away for too long. This was my second time working with Renew Renovations, and they are now the only team that I will trust with my house. Thanks Jordan, Kat and Ghassan!

We initially chose to work with ReNEW based on the positive reviews we read, and the reviews were right! Although it was our first major home renovation, Jordan, Kat, and Nick patiently and diligently worked with us. Jordan is an honest, talented contractor who clearly believes in the quality of his work. Kat was crucial in guiding us through the (many!) selections, and it would have been a very overwhelming/impossible process without her support. We are so happy with the final product and would absolutely work with them again.

My husband and I hired Jordan to do some remodel work in our home the quality of work was good no complaints there the only problem was that when my husband was at home Jordan was so polite but when he had to be at work I felt Jordan was very flirty and touchy.i Also felt like he would make inappropriate jokes and made some aggressive advances. So to avoid any problems I asked my husband to takes 3 days of work off for the last 3 days off the project so I could help my mother at her home. I wanted to avoid being at home alone with him and his workers

The ReNew team did a wonderful job renovating our 1960’s bathrooms. Both bathrooms were original to the house and needed work, including an extensive amount of plumbing work. Jordan walked us through the process from start to finish at the beginning so we would know what to expect. His team was always communicative and respectful. Even when they were bumps in the road, as to be expected with any renovation of a 60-year-old house, Jordan and team were always responsive and solution oriented. I am very pleased with how everything turned out.

My new addition that the Renew team did turned out amazing! The design process and construction was super smooth. We have an older home so there was some rot that was found but the project manager Ghassan always kept me informed throughout the project showing me anything that wasn’t right or needed attention. He was great with communication and attention to detail. Our project was an undertaking lasting about 6 months. Jordan was on site at the milestones looking over everything as he said he would be. As I was posting this I saw the past review and honestly have to say that I am shocked at what that person is suggesting. They must have the wrong company. My wife and I have nothing but great respect for Jordan and his team.

We had a great experience working with Jordan, Kat, and Nick from the Renew team. Our project included a master bed and bath update and addition of a full bath. The project had a lot of moving parts—updates and additions of hvac, plumbing, walls, doors, and flooring, as well as coordination with our closet installer and our condo association. We lived in our home the whole renovation and my husband and I work from home. We really appreciated Nick’s constant communication and letting us know when and who to expect and what work would be done. Kat and Jordan checked in often to see how things were going and answer questions. Renew went above and beyond to make the project a success and we are so happy with the final outcome. We will definitely use Renew in the future!

Finally getting a chance to sit down and write about my wonderful experience with all the folks over at Renew!

First and foremost, the people at Renew are genuinely good people. They are patient and kind, even with my thousands of questions and mile-long emails! When I purchased my first home, I found myself at a loss with the entire process of doing a whole-house renovation. I put my trust in Renew to guide me in the right direction, and I'm so happy I did! I was doing an extensive remodel (including a second story addition) with a budget, and Jordan was so accommodating and patient with my back-and-forths on some of the designs for the second floor, explaining why certain design choices wouldn't work, and the final result is something I'm really pleased with.

Kat and Armando were in charge of overseeing the work for the house and I couldn't ask for anyone better! Kat actually helped me figure out how to get the kitchen to actually work with the cabinet design given the existing window placement, and she was also there to assuage any worries I had during the whole process and explain many new concepts to me in layman's terms. As someone completely new to this whole process, her expertise was something I valued greatly. She even helped me with the selections, letting me know if something I picked wouldn't work and offered alternatives that would. She's also someone just genuinely lovely to talk to!

Armando also did a wonderful job managing all the different things I was getting done with the house (essentially the entire house was being renovated!) He and Kat were so responsive via text, phone, or email! Communication is so important to me, and having these wonderful contractors be so responsive was something I appreciated.

Also, before any of the work could even begin, we had to get permits from the Durham Historic Commission since my house exists in a historic district. Jordan handled my case wonderfully and advocated for the renovations himself in person, and we got the approval! That whole process with the Historic Commission was, again, something completely new to me, but I am so grateful that Jordan was there to help me through it.

By the end of the renovations, I essentially had a new house! (New plumbing, new electrical, a brand new second floor) I would recommend Renew in a heartbeat. They are just Good People, and care about their clients.

I hope I'll be able to work with them again in the future for my front porch and garage!

We had a wonderful experience working with Renew Design + Build for our renovation. Jordan and Kat are both such kind and knowledgeable people. They led us through the initial design phase of the project and helped us to think through and plan well for all of our spaces. During the construction phase, our project manager Anant was here every day, very involved, and extremely patient with our requests, always making sure to make what we wanted to happen, happen! The subs they use do good work, especially Jorge. Jordan and Kat checked in at milestones along the way, which we appreciated. We are so pleased with how our two bathrooms and new laundry room turned out, and look forward to working with Renew again for Phase 2!

Really pleased with how my renovation with Renew turned out. We updated my kitchen and bumped out two bathrooms and brought my older home — which probably hadn’t been touched since the ’50s — into the 21st century. Makes for some pretty dramatic before and afters 🙂 Older home renovations always come with surprises, but I genuinely came to trust that they would take care of me and make things right when issues arose.

Kat was great to work with on the design and details. It was important to me to maintain as much of my home’s existing character as possible, and she absolutely got that. She had the great idea to flip the kitchen and den areas, and it completely changed how the space works while still feeling true to the house. She has a great eye and really cares about the details.

Ghassan was super patient and responsive. Any concern I had, I brought it up and he handled it. I always felt like he was genuinely looking out for me and my home. On a project this size, having a project manager you can trust makes a huge difference — and Ghassan absolutely earned that trust. Plus he’s also just a great guy to work with.

Jamal was key to the careful demo of the den and the re-paneling of the new dining area. For anything he was working on, I knew I was in good hands. Extra thanks to Ghassan and Jamal for having to work through one of the hottest summers we’ve had - in a house with no power or AC! 😩

Jordan was always up for answering any technical questions. Bit of a side note, but I was really impressed when I learned he has his team taking building science classes — ongoing professional development like that says a lot about the standards they hold themselves to.

Overall, a thoughtful, skilled team that truly cares about their clients and their craft.

Ashley from the flooring department was the coolest and most patient HD employee I have ever met! Thank you for inspiring us and instilling confidence in our remodel.

Our measurements got messed up for a carpeting quote, and the flooring department went above and beyond to help us fix what was messed up.
They spent over an hour to work on fixing the issue, and Elizabeth who helped us was amazingly kind and hilarious while she helped us.
I find their staff very helpful. While they made the mistake, they were happy to own up and help us get the appropriate quote.

Work so far has been good, however I haven’t heard from anyone about the shower door.

Durham store team was very good about support unlike the main Home Depot scheduling the installation. Went through multiple iterations.

It has been a struggle every step of this project. First they tried to special order doors when the door we needed were already in stock. Good thing I knew this and make them use the in stock doors which saved us hundreds. Then they said 2-3 days for scheduling, and after a week I called multiple times and finally got on the schedule. Then they didn’t show up, rescheduled for the next day. Then they realized they had the wrong handed doors after already ripping off the trim in my house. We waited another week and they are supposedly coming today (after many more phone calls to get back on the schedule and confirm the right doors). Do not recommend; still not sure this project will ever be completed (and though of course I paid the in full a month ago!)

I had an absolutely nightmare experience with Home Depot Door installation. I deposited over $3000 for two doors to be installed and after six or seven months I only had one installed. I received a partial refund, Dealt with a very strange contractor and generally was exhausted by the entire process.

Would not recommend Home Depot for door installation as you do not know what external contractor you will get.

Eric and Shea were fantastic! I am so pleased with the results of their services. But their intentionality, attention to detail, willingness to make me feel comfortable throughout the process, and hard work was noticed and appreciated. They both genuinely take pride in their work, which is what you hope for. I would highly recommend both of them!

Great experience and easy. Which is exactly what I needed.

I paid to have the Home Depot contractor come out and measure my door. My house is older and not true to measurements. After choosing my door, he came back and did all the installation in a couple hours and took the old door and trash away.

    Perfect experience.
