Hunter excavating put some fence posts in for me. You have to appreciate the preciseness these guys put into ensuring the posts were straight and evenly spread out. I have a pretty big backyard and they put all the posts in with concrete in one day! I’ll recommend them any day of the week! 5 stars all across the board

Kendrick and his team well exceeded my expectations. They turned a non-functioning area in to a place we cannot wait to enjoy. Kendrick is very knowledgeable, professional, patient and efficient. I would recommend Kendrick and his team to everyone! And will be using them again myself!

Their work was professional, efficient, and thorough from start to finish. They communicated clearly, were honest about what was needed, and delivered exactly what was promised. The team at Hunter Excavating did an excellent job replacing our broken up driveway. Everything from the consult to the day of went so smoothly and turned out the way we’d hoped. Kendrick was especially knowledgeable when it came to planning and the pricing was within range of others. Our next door neighbors decided to use them for their driveway the same day. Already recommended once so why not make a note here as well.

Working with Hunter Excavating has been great. They’re super knowledgeable about anything drainage related. I had a huge drainage pipe in my backyard. It was quite the eyesore. Kendrick and his team have been absolutely wonderful to work with through our backyard excavation project. I reached out to the company after reading Google reviews and found that Kendrick was extremely responsive and professional. He started the process by being very honest and open to what we could do with our backyard and different options for this. We were hoping to clear out trees and woods behind our home and build an area for a fire pit and our dogs to play. The team came out this past weekend and finished everything and just a few hours. They did such a wonderful job, were on time, very communicative about the project, and offered a great deal of work for a great price. It was also a lot of fun to watch the excavation happen. They are very talented at what they do. I honestly have never had a contractor so professional and communicative in my entire life! I highly recommend this company and will be using them again for any future projects that come up for us.

I am very pleased with the work Kendrick and his team performed to complete a drainage and grading project around a newly installed shed. All details of the agreed upon work were completed on time and the work site was thoroughly cleaned up after project completion. I will definitely engage Kendrick for upcoming drainage and grading work.

Kendrick and his team were a pleasure to work with. They worked quickly and did a great job trenching a downspout drain in our yard. They also left the site in relatively great shape after such a job. We look forward to working with them again on future projects.

I waited a few months to give this review so I could provide photo evidence of how incredible of a job Kendrick and his team did!! Kendrick graded and laid topsoil in our backyard after a massive septic system repair left our yard a disaster. He went above and beyond, coming back after completing the entire scope of work to spread grass seed. He and the team were very diligent about the equipment they used given the presence of a septic system and were incredibly communicative before and during the project. Thanks to Hunter Excavating our backyard is looking the best it ever has!

I hired Hunter Excavating last year to help improve our yard's drainage, but waited to write this review until I had time to see how the upgrades went. They did a very thorough assessment of our yard's situation, what was causing the big puddles and mud that just wouldn't dry up. They were honest about what was likely to work and what wasn't, and helped me understand what to expect in terms of improvement.

We ultimately had them excavate a large part of our back yard and install a large number of french drains, as well as dig out an existing drainage ditch, remove some small trees in the way of drainage, and pipe our drain spouts away from the property. They also replanted the lawn for us afterwards.

We're VERY satisfied with the improvement in our drainage situation, there has been almost no mud at all, and zero puddles. It is night and day! I'm really looking forward to spending more time outdoors this year now that it's dry and grassy!

A little pricey, but the work was very extensive and they stayed within the quote they gave us. I definitely think it was worth the price.

I had Kendrick and his crew remove seven trees from my densely wooded property as well as limbing a couple of other trees. They did a great job and everything was cleaned up well when they were done. I was happy with everything about these guys and would definitely use them again.

Kendrick is the man! Working with Hunter’s was a 12/10!!! From Kendrick, to the rest of the crew, they all did an awesome job and were very hospitable and kind. Kendrick talked me through everything as he was very knowledgeable. Truly caring about the customer and the relationships built. The team worked effectively and efficiently putting out a beautiful product. Super thrilled with my gravel work, allowing for my spaces to be used to their full potential now. I will definitely be contacting them again if I need any work done involving their expertise!

Hunter Excavation did an excellent job taking down a difficult and large oak for us. The big oak tree was leaning towards and overhanging a barn on our farm. Their tree removal service is top notch. They did an awesome job for us on an extremely difficult tree which surely would’ve destroyed our barn in the future. We highly recommend them.

The Hunter Excavating team was wonderful! We wanted to clear out the overgrown ground, years of pine needles, and old stumps in the natural area of our backyard as well as remove a tree and large bushes from our front yard. When we talked with Kendrick about the project, he outlined exactly what they would do and made sure all expectations were the same from both sides. When they completed the job he once again explained what they did and made sure we were happy with it and that is met our expectations. His team showed up on time and did the work faster than we expected without sacrificing quality. He also gave us a very reasonable and affordable quote and stuck to it. We would definitely recommend them for any residential landscaping needs!

4/28/26 Adding update because I’ve now had the privilege of using Hunter Excavating services now for landscaping and they knocked it out the park! They installed quality hedging and it looked better than I imagined. I can’t recommend the team more!

Overall an incredible experience working with the team. The communication, expertise and quality of work is top tier! I got a French drain installed at my home and thought the pricing was reasonable and the owner walked me through each part of the process. Can’t recommend enough!!

I had an outstanding experience with Hunter Excavating. Improving drainage has been a to-do since purchasing this property and Kendrick’s responsiveness, knowledge and approachable nature made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I especially appreciated Kendrick’s honesty. I knew from the first consult what would and would not be possible on our lot. The entire team was efficient and thorough from first dig to cleanup, and the quality of their work exceeded my expectations. We had some significant trenching and piping and the team left our yard in excellent condition. I am extremely satisfied with the results and will absolutely choose to work with Kendrick and his team again.
