Landscaping reviews in Durham, North Carolina

I cannot thank Alberto and his team enough for the amazing job they did with the removal and replacement of our wood fence in Jan 2024. They were all friendly and professional. The work was done as quoted, on time and with care for our property. Alberto came out the following day to walk the fence with me to ensure I was happy with job, which I greatly appreciated. They cleaned up after the work was completed and gave us an exceptional quality privacy fence. Highly recommend Alberto and CM&W!!

Alberto and his team are truly fantastic. They are very professional, they show up when they say they're going to and they've handled my lawn with such care over the last few years. I am very grateful to Alberto and his team for the work they have done in keeping my lawn green all year long. I hated having to cancel my services but when things pick back up, I know exactly who I'll be calling for my lawn care services. I cannot thank Alberto and his team enough for the wonderful experience. I cannot recommend them enough :)

Homeless beggars, lots of thefts, just a bad spot to shop. I would not stop here while on a road trip

The store is nice, but why do they harass you about a receipt on the way out? If you have a reasonable suspicion of something, stop me and hold me for the cops, OTHERWISE... Let me walk out the door in peace.
PS, I never stop for the receipt people, they can't actually stop you, all they have the power to do is harass. -
Not as good a selection as Lowes - which is right across the street. If you dont mind unknowledgeable staff and higher prices, go here

Why would I pick up here when we waited 10 minutes while 3 ‘associates’ dealt with one return and then were rude when we asked where to pick something up that was ordered online.
Way to compete with Amazon -NOT -
The have a better selection of tile than competitors. I like the garden section and the selection of plants they typically have. Not always easy to find an associate when you need help.

Poor selection of bolts and fasteners compaired to Lowe's. Also the garden center doesn't carry vegetable seeds. Other than that it's a nice clean store with helpful staff.

Pretty dismayed by the poor customer service. Employees mostly act like they're waiting to get off work; very little work ethic. Wandered around Garden area looking for staff. When I finally found someone, she indicated "oh I don't work in Garden, I'll go find someone." About 5 minutes later an employee came up and said she worked in Garden. I asked her for hydrangeas and her response was "oh that sounds familiar" but couldn't locate any, and wasn't sure where to look. She wasn't even aware that they were perennials.
Not the first time I've had this type of experience. I have a Lowe's much closer yet tried to remain loyal to HD... not anymore. -
Bought a returned mower from them, and got the warm and fuzzy if you have any problems you can bring it back.Next season I had a problem and policies had changed, that they don't take returns anymore. I brought to them they fix a fused problem. I cut my grass one time and the issue returned, so I'm not a happy customer during cutting season.

Great prices and have everything I needed.

Had great service from Ben this afternoon. He helped me select stones for a walking path, and he loaded them carefully onto a cart. Professional and friendly interaction

I have visited pretty much all the nursery’s in the Cary, Apex and Durham area and this place has the best variety of houseplants and succulents as well as outdoor plants, trees and herbs! I am on a hunt for very specific houseplants and when I went here last weekend, I found a bunch of “hard to find” ones that I’d been looking everywhere for. All the employees are so kind and helpful. The alpaca, chickens, goats and ducks are a fun bonus to coming here!

The For Garden's sake team was a pleasure to work with, from landscape design to implementation.. They cheerfully handled my issues and I'm pleased with the results.

I've visited a lot of garden centers and FGS is by far the best. Amazing selection and extremely helpful and kind staff. I currently have a rather large landscaping project and Shannon spent so much time helping me even though they were very busy. Jon stepped in to help as well! All of the staff is amazing no matter how big or small the project.

This was our first time to visit. What a really nice space and plant selection. It is a great way to have an enjoyable few hours doing something different (from normal).

One of my favorite place to shop for flowers and plants in the Triangle! For Garden’s Sake has a great variety of plants and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The delicious beverages, food trucks and goats are a plus!!

They were very busy today and needed more staff to help. Beautiful store & good products.

such a cute shop and the employees were helpful and very friendly! loved the selection and will totally be back to pick up more plants and pots :)

Such an amazing garden center! I’m a frequent visitor!! Great collection of trees and all kinds of plants. I was particularly impressed with the variety of Japanese Maples in stock. The farm with duck, goats and other animals are a joy for the kids!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR LANDSCAPING. Over the course of the year, I sent repeated emails regarding my concern about the yard and was consistently dismissed. My last email to the owner, Scott, was returned with an offensive and belittling reply. It is shocking to me what little regard this company has for customer service and ownership of their work (or lack of). The pictures attached show my grass before this company started working for me and after. Unfortunately, I feel like I have been robbed of thousands of dollars and this is what I have to show for it.
In response to the excuse that it was hot and dry, please explain how that is different from any other summer? In fact, we have gotten more rainfall this summer than usual. Also, please tell me why isn’t every yard in Durham as crappy as mine? Listen, just own your stuff. You did a bad job and you should admit and learn from it! It’s awful that you should try to blame the customer!
