Air Mechanical is top notch! JD and his crew were very professional and left our house, both inside and out, spotless each and every day. Looking forward to the saving $$$ (we were heating the crawl space) and health benefits (fiber board was breaking down and mice had bored their way through the duct work). The technicians were, as always, competent and friendly. Before they left, we had a nice visit and they enjoyed meeting my new dog. They made a small mess, but they completely cleaned up. Their service is professional, knowledgeable, and personalized to your situation.

We had to have all the duct work under our house redone, I had a quote done and when I approved it they were out the next day and fixed it all within 2 days. They did an AMAZING JOB! Air mechanical came to my house in a timely manner, very professional well mannered. They explained to me what needs to be done and how they’re gonna do it. It took them a couple days to finish, but they did a wonderful job And cleaned up after their selves I would’ve never known they were there. I would recommend them to anyone job well done thank you.

The gentleman that came out today was a very nice man. He did his job very well and on top of that found a gas leak and pretty much saved us so thank you! Thank you these people are godsend!!!

After getting several estimates, I found Air Mechanical a much better price. I got efficient work from this company and were very knowledgeable. I was allowed to ask questions and was shown and given explanations. They cleaned inside my furnace space and cleaned out my drain line. All old parts and outside unit hauled away and area left clean. I’m very satisfied with this company and recommend them highly. Also very polite service technicians.

I called with a small issue on a supply duct previously installed.
Air Mechanical was very responsive and came out within an hour of my calling to have it fixed. My son works nights, and I was at work, so they worked around our schedules to get someone over quickly to fix the problem so my son could get to bed and not have to wait up hours waiting for a appt window.

Steve was friendly and great. I felt he was knowledgeable and found his responses to my questions unforced and most helpful.

I had an emergency situation with my hvac system at my house in Hertford. JD came out to my house on a Sunday and fixed it ,and saved the day ! I am so grateful ! This is an awesome company and I’ll use them again for sure !

They were punctual, very kind and polite! Good work attitudes, good communication, respectful, knowledgeable and did a great job for me. They were careful and thoughtful to put everything back as they found it, even turning light switches off!! Cleaned up their area and kept their work area neat. They took care to cover my carpet and take great care to not leave any mess or damage to my home.

best company in a 100 mile of Elizabeth city nc, had 2 company's tell me I needed replacement, air mechanical came for estimate and fixed the problem saved me 8000 dollars. they set me up on their yearly maintenance plan, been with them for 5 years now.

OMG thank you so much JD. He came right out when our Heating unit died on a very cold day. We appreciate his knowledge and how he helped us understand what had happened. We were using a different mechanic but Air Mechanical all the way!!!

I had them install a mini split system and they were on time and done in a timely manner and very neat.
I had them come and adjust the dampers on my air handler and thanks for a great job JT well done.

JD & crew are friendly and professional. Kept me informed throughout the entire job timeline , on my rental property. As a result, I was able to keep tenants informed. All are happy with process & result! Thank you!

After finally receiving a quote for the repairs, i accepted the quote.
Air mechanical came out, removed ducting that was not necessary for the modifications that were made to our home. They installed a two new ducts and a return in the master bedroom.
I asked if they could repair/ unkink the existing ducting.
The master bathroom vent does not flow any air and that was one that I asked be repaired/unkinked.
Currently when my upstairs HVAC unit comes on, it blows cold air for about 20 minutes before the air gets any heat in it.

They installed a mini split A/C and heating unit in my son's room after removing the ducting from the main upstairs HVAC unit.

These modifications have significantly reduced our power bill, but I am still not sure if the mini split is working correctly. There is no happy medium with the temperature. It is either too hot or too cold. I'm not extremely happy with the installation of the mini split due to the routing of the piping from the compressor unit to the unit in my son's room.

I also asked to have both of my HVAC units put on a maintenance schedule, and have never heard back from this company. They were supposed to contact me a few days after completing the job, but never heard back.

I received a text message today 10DEC2025 from them asking for a review for thir work.
This is the first time since 20AUG2025 that I have heard from Air Mechanical.

Given the lack of communication, I'm unsure that if I called with any HVAC problems, I would get a timely response.

Had a tenant text me that the heat stopped working after a cold drop in Elizabeth City and wouldn't keep up, and that the heat was at 64 degrees. When I called Air Mechanical LLC a friendly receptionist answered right away and verified the property was within distance of service, and was able to schedule a tech to get out there almost an hour later. I didn't expect something that fast, but was very happy. The tech, Steve Woodby, sent me a prompt text message with a photo, letting me know he was on the way to property, and also gave a call once he isolated the problem, and text reminders for invoices etc. I was thoroughly impressed with the speed Steve was able to troubleshoot the issue, which was a bad board, and get the heat up and running again for my tenants who are a hard working military family with a little one at home. This was my first time using Air Mechanical LLC, I look forward to adding them to my contact list for future use. Thanks for the great first impression, keep up the great work.
