I had a fantastic experience with Smoke Alert! I initially reached out to get our dryer vent cleaned. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very friendly, and I was able to get the cleaning booked quickly. Brandon did a great job cleaning the vent. Everything was taken care of professionally and efficiently. We learned there were some further repairs that would be needed, and Brandon was able to take of those in a follow-up visit. Once again, scheduling was easy, the work was professional and efficient, and I feel much more at ease knowing that our dryer system is now functioning as it should! Highly recommend to anyone in Raleigh looking for these services. We also asked to get our chimney cleaned on the revisit, and everything went well with that work as well.

Charlie from Smoke Alert just came out and cleaned our dryer vent. He was friendly and thorough and explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. No hard sell but he did ask us about other services we might need like fireplace cleaning, smoke detectors and our fire extinguishers. Overall very happy with our service and will call again in the future!

Brandon from Smoke Alert came out to clean our dryer vent and he was very polite and thorough. I have never had a tech do such a wonderful job. He noticed our vent pipes were held together with duct tape and re-did it with appropriate dryer tape. He inspected every inch from the dryer to the roof to ensure everything was in proper order. I will absolutely be requesting Brandon the next time we have our dryer vent service! They also check smoke alarms but Brandon again went the extra mile and not only asked if I had a fire extinguisher but asked to see it and told me how to properly maintain it. I was very impressed!

Wow. My dryer vent was stuffed. I don’t think I ever had it cleaned. The amount of lint (dog hair) that came out was unbelievable. I definitely feel more comfortable now knowing the vent is flowing freely. My Smoke Alert technician was awesome. He showed me pictures with his pad of what was going on inside the vent and when it was sparkly clean. I highly recommend this service to everyone and I have to add there was no hard selling me on other services. I just wanted the dryer vent cleaned. Period. But when I need my chimney done I am calling them. Very very reasonable cost by the way.

Chris Torchia from Smoke Alert performed an Annual Maintenance inspection on our gas fireplace, dryer vent and smoke alarms. He did a great job of cleaning the fireplace and checking the blower that he determined needs replacing. We will be happy to have Chris install the new blower because the existing one makes so much noise due to bad bearings.

We would highly recommend Chris and Smoke Alert and we will definitely continue with Annual Maintenance.

Brandon Lindsey did an excellent job. He was knowledgeable , polite and courteous. Would have him back in a flash. Definitely earned a five star rating.

Daniel Lanier of Smoke Alert cle as Ned 2 gas fireplaces and did a fire safety inspection/ briefing for us today. He was courteous, prompt, professional and answered all our questions. If he is an indication of the caliber of employee that Smoke Alert has - I would highly recommend this company. I f I could give them 6 stars I would!

This was the first time I used Smoke Alert to clean my chimney and it will definitely not be the last! I can't even begin to tell you what a great group of folks make up this company, from the guys that come out to do the chimney cleaning to the ones that handle the scheduling. I had a severe buildup of creosote in my chimney from 35 years of use. I religiously had my chimney cleaned every other year, but I was shocked when they told me how bad the creosote had gotten (Stage 3) over the years of use and because it had not been cleaned properly in the past. It's a long story, but the resolution is that it is in great shape now because of the in depth work that they completed on it. They were always here when they said they would be and so very courteous, knowledgeable, patient and understanding! After it was completed, I felt like I had become good friends with Mark, Cole, Jessie, Craig, Gwen, Abby and Chris!

Great company! In the past, they have serviced my gas logs and cleaned my dryer vent. This time they replaced the firebox and gas logs. It was a challenging project, and Craig and his team were very professional. They provided terrific service, and I highly recommend them.

In a world where so many things are difficult, it is amazing and wonderful when a business provides excellent service that is also prompt and polite! We had our dryer vent cleaned and smoke detectors inspected by Charlie. He sent an email prior to his arrival and got to the house right on time. He was professional, thorough, and efficient. I also appreciate his honesty- it turns out our smoke detectors did not need to be replaced yet! Highly recommend Smoke Alert and will be using again in the future.

On a very chilly evening I wanted to use my gas fireplace, but it wouldn’t turn on. So frustrating. Smoke Alert sent out Jacob. In short order Jacob had it working. The next evening it wouldn’t light again. I called the office the next morning and in a short amount of time, Jacob called me back. He had me go to my fireplace and use the two switches that turn on the fireplace in a different sequence than I normally would use. To my surprise, it lit again. I have turned it on and off several times since and it has lit each time. Yeah!
Jacob was very professional and thorough. It was a pleasure to have in my home. When I need other services from Smoke Alert, I will request that Jacob be the tech.

Daniel came out and 5 stars isn't enough. We used another company years ago and they left us without a blower fan and did the bare minimum, but decided to overcharge us. We got so much info from Daniel on our smoke detectors, our fire extinguishers, a safety meet spot outside of there is a fire, and recommended even more options to be safer if a fire does happen. He not only cleaned the fireplace but checked all electrical going to our fireplace.

Brandon was awesome! He was punctual, thorough, and friendly. He did a great job installing new smoke alarms, cleaning the dryer vent, and installing a new dryer vent hood. Highly recommend Smoke Alert!

Mark Garcia was very knowledgeable and thorough. He identified many issues with our old fireplace and made sensible recommendations. He was also friendly and personable.
